Wrenwood is the 1st area in Resident Evil 9: Requiem. This 100% walkthrough includes all Collectibles, Trophies and Key Items.
For other Areas see Resident Evil Requiem Walkthrough.
Wrenwood (Prologue)
Investigate the Crime Scene
After the starting cutscenes, you will be walking on a city street. There are 2 collectibles immediately accessible here:
File #1 – Investigation Report
Automatically in your inventory from the start of the game. Press Touchpad > Items > Investigation Report > zoom in and rotate it until it lets you interact with the photo sticking out of the folder, read the file.
File #2 – Wrenwood City Guide
Check the City Map on the right while walking the street.
Continue walking past the map until you automatically have a scene that causes you to enter the alleyway. Keep following the path forward through the alleyway and building.
Key Item: Old Key
Lounge & Bar: In the dark area where you use the flashlight, after going through the kitchen. In the next room where it’s very dark, check the photo taped to the bar and examine the back. This is also the first area where you can use the map (Touchpad).
Head to Room 204
You can look around in this area if you like, or immediately continue. Use the Old Key on the door to the right of the bar.
File #3 – Hotel Pamphlet
Lobby: After opening the door with the old key, go forward to a room with stairs leading up. Check the paper on the floor.
File #4 – Notice of Closure
Office: In the same area go behind the reception desk, follow the path to the backroom and open the blue drawer.
Wrenwood Hotel Map
Office: In same room on the wall.
After finding all the items on the lowest floor, go up the stairs to the second floor.
Key Item: Wire Cutters
Rec Room – 2nd Floor: Upstairs on the pool table.
Go to the opposite side of the room where you can use the Wire Cutters to cut the wire holding the door closed. Follow the hallway to the room at the end, then interact with the photos on the bed. Look up to the right and look at the photo in the middle of the bed to progress.
You are automatically taken to a flashback in the same location. Follow Alyssa downstairs through the scenes, then you will be returned to the present.
Go back downstairs and move the luggage cart, then interact with the painting you saw in the flashback.
File #5 – Alyssa’s Journal
Automatic from story progression, after interacting with the painting downstairs.
You will then be attacked by a police officer, and need to escape being stuck to the cart. Keep holding
and then move either left or right to avoid where he is shooting.
Key Item: Emergency Exit Key
Automatic from story progression, directly after getting the previous file.
After you receive the key you will automatically pick up a fireplace poker, and can mash
but this is largely linear. After he is poked and you have control again, run back up the stairs to the second floor and you can interact with the door on the right to use the Emergency Exit Key and complete this section.
Wrenwood – Leon
Go After Victor
File #6 – Report on Victor Gideon
Automatic from story progression, obtained during cutscene.
After the scenes you will be playing as Leon on the Wrenwood street. Follow the path forward and you will automatically be prompted about fighting enemies. Keep following the street forward, then continue right where all of the pedestrians are running from. Keep advancing down the street dealing with any enemies that appear until you trigger a cutscene at the end which triggers this section.
