Introduction
Welcome to the Star Wars Galactic Racer Trophy Guide! Galactic Racer is a new and unique racing experience in the Star Wars universe. The game introduces roguelite elements into the campaign that tie into the narrative, giving you more control of how you race. To get Platinum, you will need to complete the Campaign on the highest difficulty, grind through multiple runs to unlock everything in the Campaign, and master 50 time trials in order to get 50 Gold Medals in Arcade. Due to this, the platinum is both a significant grind and relatively difficult.
The game offers several accessibility features that are quite helpful. Simple Pre-Race Checks will simplify the button inputs for your abilities at the beginning of each event. Auto-Deactivate Ramjet will disable it when your Ramjet is near the end of the Redline zone, saving you from blowing up if you’re not paying close attention to it. There is also Boost Mode, which allows you to activate Afterburner/Ramjet just by tapping
, instead of holding it.
Step 1: Complete the Campaign on any difficulty [10 Hours]
The Campaign in Galactic Racer is a roguelite experience. It’s divided into 3 Acts, and if you get knocked out while progressing through the Act, you will restart from the beginning of that Act. You will gain permanent Tuning Points to upgrade your vehicles, as well as unlock different Racer Styles and Favors that you can equip to give different bonuses, making the next runs easier. You will need to complete the Campaign once fully to unlock Champion difficulty, so feel free to play on any difficulty during this first playthrough.
While selecting events on the map, prioritize picking Mystery Encounters, as there are several Favors locked behind having multiple Mystery Encounters with Biddy Blas, Malis Vazosk, and Katja Mox. Please see
Maybe We Can All Be Friends Someday! for details.
While playing through Act 2, it is recommended that you have the Clandestine Aid Favor equipped, as you will need to beat the Galactic Gauntlet (the penultimate event in Act 2 and 3) with this equipped, and it cannot be equipped in Act 3.
From Act 2 onwards, at the beginning of each race you can place a sidebet on one of three competitors. If you place multiple sidebets on the same competitor on the same planet (set of four events), then at the next planet there is a chance that they will speak to you and become your Rival. One or two planets after that, they will challenge you to a Head-to-Head Rival race. You will need to beat all 11 Rivals in these races, so keep this in mind when placing sidebets.
Step 2: Complete Act 3 on Champion difficulty [5 Hours]
After completing the Campaign once, you will unlock Champion difficulty. At this point you can do the remaining steps in any order you like. You may want to do several runs before doing Champion to unlock and upgrade certain Favors, Parts, Abilities or Racer Styles. Champion difficulty increases your opponent skill and aggression, but more importantly reduces your allowed number of crashes and does not refresh your crashes after every event. Instead, you only refresh 3 crashes when starting a new planet.
If you have PlayStation Plus, you can take advantage of cloud saves by uploading your save before events or when buying parts from Hibi’s Shop. This allows you to revert to a backup if you get eliminated or get a result you’re not happy with. For Hibi’s Shop, every time you restock the parts available will be completely randomised, so you can keep trying to get parts you want. In order to do this, on your PS5 go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data > turn off for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, then from the game tile press
> Upload/Download Saved Data then upload to back up your save or download to restore a backed up save.
Alternatively if you don’t have PlayStation Plus, you can simply close the Game Application during a race and when you load up the game again, you’ll be back at the start of the race. So if you’ve wrecked multiple times or know you can do better, you can do this, however if you finish the event it will save immediately, so you can only use this method mid-race.
Step 3: Campaign Cleanup [40-60 Hours]
Whether you have completed Champion difficulty or not yet, you will need to complete either Act 2 or Act 3 a total of 14 times, as you need to win the Galactic Gauntlet with all Favors and Racer Styles equipped. This will be a significant grind as it can take several hours per playthrough of an Act, plus there will be some luck involved with getting certain Mystery Encounters or Rivals. Always ensure you have different Racer Styles/Favors equipped so that you are not wasting playthroughs not making progress.
As the Galactic Gauntlet is the penultimate event in both Act 2 and Act 3, you can actually optimize your grind by restarting the Campaign and getting to Act 2. Now when playing through Act 2, you can complete the Galactic Gauntlet, then intentionally lose in the final event against Kestar Bool. This will put you back at the beginning of Act 2, rather than moving on to Act 3. This is beneficial as Act 3 has an extra planet of events to complete, plus several story-related Podracing events, so is noticeably longer to complete than Act 2.
During cleanup, you will need to do the following:
- Unlock 20 Favors
- Unlock 14 Racer Styles
- Win the Galactic Gauntlet with all 20 Favors
- Win the Galactic Gauntlet with all 14 Racer Styles
- Win the Galactic Gauntlet with all 3 Vehicles
- Complete all 12 Tales of Podracing
- Beat all 11 Racers in a Rivalry Head-to-Head
It can be beneficial to restart your tour until you have a good spawn of events on your map. It’s recommended to always have multiple Mystery Encounters available, particularly on the first planet. You may also want to restart a tour if you don’t get the correct sidebets to get a new Rival during the first planet.
Step 4: Arcade [15-30 Hours]
Last but certainly not least is Arcade. This is a time trial mode with preset vehicles and tracks. There are a total of 50 Arcade events, plus an extra 3 if you have the Deluxe Edition. You will need to get Gold Medal times in all 50 Arcade events. This will be the hardest portion of the platinum and the main reason for the game’s difficulty. Many of these time trials will be very strict and require mastering both the route through the track and using your vehicle’s abilities and parts effectively.

Big Mystery Racer Beat 50 Gold times in Arcade. |
![]() |
| Arcade is a time trial mode with preset vehicles. Many of the Arcade time trials will have certain themes, such as Podracer arcades against other racers, utilising Frozen or Cooled, getting Perfect Landings or hitting all checkpoints to reduce your time. Many of the Gold times are quite strict and must be done with zero mistakes, but some are quite lenient and can allow for some errors. There are exactly 50 Arcade time trials in the base game, so you must achieve gold in all 50 for this trophy. The Deluxe Edition includes 3 exclusive Arcade time trials, but it is not currently known whether these count towards the trophy. | ||

Speed is Dangerous, Embrace it Anyway Gain Surge for 60s continuously. |
![]() |
| Surge is an active ability that increases your speed, that can be extended by overtaking opponents. You can also level up Surge to either Overtaking Surge II which further extends the amount of surge it gives, or Impact Surge II which also gives surge for takedowns or vehicle collisions. This is best done with either the Slipstreamer or Clean Racer styles, as they will start with the Surge ability. You can also use the Surging Autopilot ability, as this will provide surging while Autopilot is active.
The best parts for this are Critical Hope, Critical Surging and Surplus Surging. When activated, these three will provide permanent Surge. The former two require being on 1 remaining Crash, while the latter requires having 8+ Energy. This trophy may not pop as soon as you meet the requirement. It may pop randomly at the beginning of another event/upon finishing the tour. Below are some parts that will help with this:
|
||
![]() |
The Most Dangerous Racing in the Galaxy Remain Overcharged for 40s continuously. |
![]() |
| Overcharged Autopilot will help with this, as while the Autopilot is active it will provide Overcharge, and can be extended by activating abilities. This is best done with the Tenacious style to start with Autopilot, or a leveled-up Tech Expert to start with multiple abilities. This alone won’t allow you remain Overcharged for 40 seconds, so you will likely want several parts that focus on granting Overcharged.
This trophy may not pop as soon as you meet the requirement. It may pop randomly at the beginning of another event / upon finishing the tour. Below are some parts that will help with this:

Very Fast, Very Dangerous Use Afterburner for 60s continuously. |
![]() |
Afterburner is your basic boost, activated with . This is best done with the Afterburner style, as it makes Afterburner last longer. This alone won’t allow you to last for 60 seconds, so you will likely want several parts that focus on Afterburner lasting longer.
This trophy may not pop as soon as you meet the requirement. It may pop randomly at the beginning of another event / upon finishing the tour. Below are some parts that will help with this:

Hibi’s Speedies Exceed 650km/h in any Speeder. |

| This will likely come naturally while using Ramjet, but if needed you can select any parts that increase Ramjet’s power, or use Surge alongside Ramjet. | ||
![]() |
The Real Soul of Racing Increase 2 Upgrades to maximum level within a single tour. |
![]() |
| Upgrades are your vehicle stats, like Cornering, Afterburner, Resilience, etc. You will need to increase two of these stats to level 10. This is best done by dumping all stat points at the beginning of a tour into two desired stats, allowing you to start a tour with two stats at level 7. Then simply purchase upgrade packs or do events that offer upgrade packs and focus on those two stats. | ||
![]() |
Punch it, Shade! Use Ramjet for 60s continuously. |
![]() |
| Unlike the similar trophies for Surge, Overcharged and Afterburner, you don’t have to do any specific builds to get this. Instead, simply do a Ramjet Field Test. During these, you will be tested on the distance you can travel with Ramjet activated, and Ramjet will last nearly permanently. Simply do any one of these Ramjet Field Tests and you should get this naturally. | ||

![]() |
Maybe We Can All Be Friends Someday! Gain all Favors. |
![]() |
There are 20 Favors to unlock in the Campaign. After meeting the unlock requirement for a Favor, speak to the relevant character at the start of a planet to unlock it. Some of these are unlocked by progressing the campaign or completing certain event types, some are for getting Satisfactory Ratings with each backer (see Pride of Gathleon), some will be for beating rivals in head-to-head races (see Best of the Best), and some will be for certain Mystery Encounters, which are the “?” nodes that appear on the map.
There are 3 Favors tied to these Mystery Encounters, which will require having 3-4 encounters with the respective competitor and selecting the correct prompt each time. As well as selecting the right prompts, there will also be a condition for each competitor. For Biddy Blas, you will have to beat him in the upcoming events until you get his next encounter. For Malis Vazosk, you will need to pay an increasing amount of credits to him each encounter, up to 7,000 in the fourth encounter. For Katja Mox, you will receive certain handicaps for 2-3 planets between each encounter. While trying to get the Mystery Encounters, it may be beneficial to restart tours until you have at least 3 Mystery Encounters available on your map, including at least one on your first planet. This way you can maximise the amount you get, rather than doing entire tours with no encounters at all.

I’ll Take That Bet Win 10 Sidebets. |
![]() |
| Starting in Act 2: The Galactic League, during standard and eliminator races you will be able to place a sidebet on one of three competitors. If you beat that competitor, you will be rewarded additional credits. | ||
![]() |
That’s How You Win Championships Place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in 6 Eliminator Races within a single Campaign tour. |
![]() |
| To even be able to do this, you will need to get a tour map with at least 6 Eliminator Races available on one route. This may take a few attempts, but you will most likely get a few tours like this while playing through Act 3 multiple times. If you are struggling to get it, there is a Mystery Encounter with Kestar Bool that will turn half of all Standard Races into Eliminator Races which will give you more opportunities. Play on Cadet difficulty to make it easier.
If you have PlayStation Plus, you can take advantage of cloud saves by uploading your save before events. This allows you to revert to a backup if you get eliminated or don’t get a podium finish. In order to do this, on your PS5 go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data > turn off for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, then from the game tile press |
||
![]() |
Clean Sweep Place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all events within a single Campaign tour. |
![]() |
| For this you will need to get a podium finish for all Standard or Eliminator races, or successfully complete any Field Tests. This is best done on Cadet difficulty to make it easier, and on Act 1: The Qualifier as it has fewer events. Act 1 has 13 events, Act 2 has 18 events and Act 3 has 22 events. Select as many Mystery Encounter and Scrap Dealer nodes as you can to limit the amount of events you need to win.

There are a total of 12 events. In order to complete an event, you must finish 1st, and in some events you must also do a secondary objective, such as wrecking 3 opponents. If you fail an event, you will have to wait until you meet Sebulba again to have another attempt. | ||

Getting Started Select a Racer Style. |
![]() |
| At the start of your second tour, simply select any Racer Style to unlock this. | ||
![]() |
Raging Rancor With the Brawler Racer Style, take down 5 racers within a Standard or Eliminator race. |
![]() |
| Brawler is an aggressive Racer Style that rewards takedowns. It will start with the Ion Bolt ability, but you may want to both upgrade Ion Bolt and consider getting Concussion Mine and/or Shockwave abilities to assist with taking out other racers. This is best done on a Standard race so that you will have a full lineup of competitors to target. Intentionally slow down to stay in the pack with other racers, using your abilities on them and ramming them to take them down. | ||
![]() |
Speed and Violence With the Tech Expert Racer Style, hit 5 racers with Ion Bolt within a Standard or Eliminator race. |
![]() |
| Tech Expert is a Racer Style that takes full advantage of Abilities. While this trophy requires the Ion Bolt ability, Tech Expert does not start with Ion Bolt, so you will first need to unlock Ion Bolt through Sebulba’s 7th Tales of Podracing, Fear and Respect. Once you have Ion Bolt unlocked, equip it with an Ability Pack and ensure you have high enough battery to use it 5+ times in one race. | ||
![]() |
One Hell of a Thrill With the Redliner Racer Style, stay above 550 km/h for 5s within a Standard or Eliminator race. |
![]() |
| Redliner is a Racer Style that makes your Ramjet more powerful while you are redlining (in the dangerous red zone of the Ramjet before it overheats), as well as making the redlining zone last longer. Max out the Ramjet stat and you should be able to manage 550km/h. Simply find long stretches of open raceway where you don’t need to brake or drift and you should get this. | ||
![]() |
Skill, Strategy, and the Will to Rise Unlock all Racer Styles. |
![]() |
There are 14 Racer Styles to unlock in the Campaign. These are unlocked by performing basic mechanics, such as using Ramjet, achieving Takedowns and winning tour events.

First Time, Big Time Win your first Rivalry Head-to-Head. |
![]() |
See Best of the Best. |
||
![]() |
Best of the Best Beat every Racer in a Rivalry Head-to-Head. |
![]() |
| In order to make someone your rival, you must first make multiple sidebets against them during the same planet. Then when you start the next planet, they will speak to you as you are about to leave. They won’t speak to you if they already appear in the area for a conversation (indicated by the white diamond icon on them), but if this happens you can simply exit to main menu and continue until they’re no longer waiting. Now whenever you get the sidebet options, your rival will appear with a red cross next to their name. Continue putting sidebets on your rival, then when you arrive at one of the next planets, they will challenge you to a Rivalry Head-to-Head. This is a one-on-one race which you will need to win. Do this for all 11 competitors. You cannot become rivals with Kestar Bool, so he is not required.
As there is a bit of RNG involved with getting the correct competitors, the best way to get these is to reset tours until you get a competitor you need as a sidebet in the first event. Then complete the first planet and ensure they become your rival, otherwise reset the tour. Given there are 11 competitors and a minimum of 14 full tour completions needed for You can track which rivals you have beaten (or rather, haven’t beaten) by looking at the colors for your vehicles either at the beginning of a tour or at the beginning of each planet. There will be one color unlock for each rival you beat. Alternatively, simply keep track yourself. |
||
![]() |
Racing Glory Complete a Scenario. |
![]() |
| Scenarios are 5-race events with preset builds, one for each competitor. These will be on a preset difficulty, and completing one will reward you with 10 Tuning Parts. You only need to complete one, so it is recommended you complete one that is set to Cadet difficulty. | ||
![]() |
Treasures, Treasures! Buy every available Part at the Scrap Dealer within a single visit. |
![]() |
| One of the nodes you can find on the map starting in Act 2: The Galactic League is the Scrap Dealer, indicated by the credits symbol. They will have 3 legendary faulty parts available for purchase for 1,000 credits each. Buy all 3 for this trophy. If you already have faulty parts that can’t be replaced, you can also repair them during this Scrap Dealer event for 2,000 credits each. | ||
![]() |
Might as Well Buy a New Speeder Buy every available Part at Hibi’s Shop within a single visit. |
![]() |
| At the start of every planet, you will be able to trade with Hibi. She will have four parts available for purchase, as well as stat and ability packs. You will need to buy all four parts in one go, so you will need a decent amount of credits as well as no Faulty Parts already equipped, as you cannot override Faulty Parts. If you have a Faulty Part, speak to the Scrap Dealer to remove it. This is best done with the Smuggler’s Hope Favor, as it reduces the cost of one part in Hibi’s Shop. | ||
![]() |
Beginner’s Luck Win a Sidebet against your current Rival. |
![]() |
| After winning a sidebet on a competitor, during the next planet they may speak to you as you are about to leave. Then during the rest of the tour, they will be your rival, indicated by a cross next to their name during the sidebet selection. Choose them and beat them once to unlock this. | ||
![]() |
Gathii vs. Bool Win a Sidebet against Kestar Bool. |
![]() |
| Starting in Act 2: The Galactic League, during standard and eliminator races you will be able to place a sidebet on one of three competitors. If you beat that competitor, you will be rewarded additional credits. Occasionally Kestar Bool will be in the race, allowing you to place a sidebet on him. He will be harder to beat than other competitors, but if you playing on Cadet difficulty then this shouldn’t be too difficult. | ||
![]() |
Star Racer Have a Backer rate you as Excellent. |
![]() |
| Starting in Act 2: The Galactic League, you will choose a Backer before you start doing events. You will get a rating after each Standard or Eliminator Race, with an overall rating for each planet upon completion of a planet. You will get a rating both for your Race Placement, as well as your Contract, which is the challenge you select when choosing a Backer. In order to get an Excellent rating in these, you must get a podium finish (1st, 2nd or 3rd) in the majority of your events, and you must fully complete the Contract requirement. If you place too low in multiple races or you don’t fully complete your Contract, you will get either a Satisfactory or Poor rating. | ||
![]() |
Poodoo Racer Have a Backer rate you as Poor. |
To get a Poor rating, simply ignore the Contract and complete all the events on the planet in last place to get this. | ||
![]() |
Pride of Gathleon Achieve an Excellent Tour rating from each Backer. |
![]() |
| In order to get an Excellent Tour rating, you must get an Excellent rating in most planets before Derven Acos. In Act 2 this will be four planets, in Act 3 this will be five planets. You can get a Satisfactory rating in one planet, as long as the rest are Excellent you will still get an Excellent Tour rating.
A single Satisfactory or Poor rating will stop you from being able to get Excellent for that planet. Because of this, you will want to ensure you always choose the easiest available contracts so that you can complete them. It is also best to skip any Mystery Encounters, Scrap Dealers and Field Tests while progressing through the planets, as these nodes do not give you the opportunity to progress your contract. The easiest contract challenges for each Backer are as follows:

| The Galactic Gauntlet is the penultimate event in Act 2 and Act 3. It is a three-part Eliminator Race on Derven Acos. For this trophy, you must win this with all 14 Racer Styles. In order to track which Racer Styles you have completed it with, highlight them in the Logbook. If you have completed the Galactic Gauntlet with it, it will say Mastered.
To reduce the amount of time spent going for this, you may want to restart your Campaign and repeatedly do Act 2, intentionally losing in the final event against Kestar. This is because Act 2 only has 4 planets, whereas Act 3 has 5 planets as well as the extra podracing events as part of the story. For how to unlock all Racer Styles, see |

The Galactic Gauntlet is the penultimate event in Act 2 and Act 3. It is a three-part Eliminator Race on Derven Acos. For this trophy, you must win this with all 20 Favors. As you can use three Favors at a time, this will require at least 7 runs through to complete this. In order to track which Favors you have completed it with, highlight them in the Logbook. If you have completed the Galactic Gauntlet with it, it will say Mastered. For how to unlock all Favors, see Maybe We Can All Be Friends Someday!.
One Favor, Clandestine Aid, can only be used for the Galactic Gauntlet in Act 2. Therefore it is recommended that you have this equipped when you first play through Act 2 to completion. Otherwise, you will have to restart the campaign after completing it and repeat Acts 1 and 2. |

Racer of Legend Defeat Kestar Bool in the Galactic League Championship on Champion difficulty. |

| In order to unlock Champion difficulty, you will need to first complete the campaign once. Afterwards, you can do just Act 3 on Champion difficulty for this trophy, you do not need to restart the campaign.
Champion difficulty increases your opponent skill and aggression, but more importantly reduces your allowed number of crashes and does not refresh your crashes after every event. Instead, you only refresh 3 crashes when starting a new planet. For this reason, it is recommended to choose a Racer Style and Favors that assist you with simply completing events. Tenacious provides you with an extra crash, while Ramjet Rider is a good overall style that focuses on using Ramjet, which may be more beneficial for actually beating Kestar. For Favors, Mad Genius is highly recommended as it allows for 2 extra crashes. Gadgeteer will allow you to equip extra parts, and Victorious Loser when fully upgraded will give you credit rewards regardless of your finishing position in races, so you can play it safe and still get rewards. During the tour itself, it is recommended that you do as many Field Test, Podracing Test, Mystery Encounter and Scrap Dealer nodes as possible. You cannot lose league tokens or reduce your crashes in these nodes, so it makes it easier to progress. When you have to choose races, Standard is much safer than Eliminator, as even finishing in 12th means progressing as long as you don’t wreck out. You do still need to get enough upgrades to reliably be able to win though, so it may be worth doing the occasional Eliminator if you’re confident to get better parts. In order to do this, on your PS5 go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings > Saved Data (PS5) > Sync Saved Data > Auto-Sync Saved Data > turn off for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, then from the game tile press Alternatively if you don’t have PlayStation Plus, you can simply close the Game Application during a race and when you load up the game again, you’ll be back at the start of the race. So if you’ve wrecked multiple times or know you can do better, you can do this, however if you finish the event it will save immediately, so you can only use this method mid-race. Below is a recommended build you can use that focuses on Ramjet and Cooling.

Easiest method for The Most Dangerous Racing in the Galaxy is the Thermal Inverter part. It gives you Overcharged while burning. Burning doesn’t kill you, so just look for lava and stay in there for 40 seconds.
