Arknights Endfield has 3 main collectible types that are tracked through a counter on the map: Aurylene, Crates, Protocol Dataloggers. Additionally, there are also untracked collectibles: SOS Repair Bots, Files, Investigation Points. Gear Template Crates are available from the 2nd main region Wuling onward but are automatically marked on the map.
You can still collect everything after the story in free-roam, nothing is missable.
Collectibles are required for the following trophies/achievements:
- Peak Explorer – Reach Exploration Level 7
- Valley Crate Master Ⅱ – Open 100 Valley IV storage crates
- Valley Crate Master – Open 270 Valley IV storage crates
The Collectibles in Arknights are worth getting because they increase your Authority Level, which is your overall account level needed to unlock new quests. They also increase your Exploration Level and you get plenty of other rewards.
Some collectibles can only be reached after doing certain side quests within a region. This is because some buildings/areas are inaccessible without having completed the required quest. So if you are missing a collectible, finish all missions in the region first (see Missions List).
Aurylene and Crates have no map markers, there’s no way to tell which ones you’re missing unless you revisit all spots to check. If you’re going for 100% completion, it’s best to follow the collectible guides from start to end and not pick up anything by accident. Otherwise it can get confusing to keep track what you have and haven’t found. The Protocol Dataloggers and Gear Template Crates (Wuling exclusive) get marked on the map automatically and are easier to keep track of.
Sometimes a teammate will also point out nearby collectibles via an icon above their head. If you’re only missing a few collectibles in a region, you can buy the “Detector” items (e.g. Keen Valley Compass) from the in-game store, these are one-use items that reveal a single collectible each. You can buy multiple of these to reveal multiple collectibles. Early on this will be expensive, but later in the game you will have plenty of money to buy them.
Aurylene are white glowing orbs, you can redeem them at fast travel points for rewards. Crates are chests that give some loot. Protocol Dataloggers are big inflatable tube men.
