Authority Level in Arknights Endfield is your overall “Account Level”. It’s increased by earning Operational XP. It is primarily needed to advance the main story and to equip some higher grade equipment later in the game.
At certain points in the story, you will get objectives to reach a higher Authority Level to advance. For example, “The Mission Continues” requires Authority Level 18, “Down the Mountain” requires Authority Level 26.
The game uses this as progression roadblocks to incentivize players to explore the world and play the side content between main quests.
How to Increase Authority Level
Practically anything you do grants some Operational XP: Quests, Collectibles, Protocol Spaces, completing Daily Tasks and claiming rewards from the Operational Menu.
- The best way to increase Authority Level fast is to finish all available main and side quests.
- When you run out of quests, spend your Sanity on Protocol Spaces. These are quick combat challenges that give fast Operational XP. They are unlocked after Main Mission 8: Building an Outpost and look like glowing rifts. After finding a Protocol Space it can be accessed under Main Menu > Operational Menu.
- Every day you should check your Daily Tasks under Main Menu > Operational Menu. Complete these and remember to claim the rewards in the Operational Menu.
- Also explore the world thoroughly, every collectible you find adds a little bit toward Authority Level and also gives other useful rewards. There is a collectible tracker on each region’s map.
Basically: Go for 100% completion, grind Protocol Spaces and Daily Tasks.
