A Scholarly Pursuit is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Scholarly Pursuit side mission.
- Starting Location: Bakbattahl in Unmoored World
- Quest Giver: Phaesus
- Requirement: Completed the other Unmoored World Trials (did the steps for “The Hero” trophy/achievement)
- Reward: 20,000 XP, 30 Wyrmslife Crystals, 10,000 G
Objectives:
- Pursue the Skyfallen Dragon
Starting Location: A Scholarly Pursuit
This quest is only available in Unmoored World. Go to the red map marker in Bakbattahl. A guaranteed way to get this quest is having completed the other Unmoored World Trials (did the steps needed for “The Hero” trophy/achievement). However, in some cases it may spawn before having done the other trials.
Interact with the red glowing beacon at the entrance of Flamebearer Palace. Then a dragon statue will fall from the sky. Phaesus will automatically talk to you to start the quest (if he’s not there must do the other trials).
Pursue the Skyfallen Dragon
Enter the sphere around the dragon statue. It will suck you in and returns you back outside. Phaesus will automatically talk to you again.
You must now follow Phaesus and defeat the enemies along the way. This is just a short escort mission. Phaesus will lead you through the back of Flamebearer Palace. Then you can approach the dragon statue from behind, which will automatically destroy it when entering the purple sphere. Then the quest is done.
This finishes A Scholarly Pursuit side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
