Introduction

Welcome to the God of War Sons of Sparta Trophy Guide! God of War Sons of Sparta is a Metroidvania spinoff of the God of War games. It is the 10th installment in the God of War franchise and the first chronologically, it is a prequel to the entire series, as its setting takes place in the Greek era before God of War: Ascension and God of War: Ghost of Sparta. The platinum is quite simple, play through the game once, get the collectibles after playing through the story, and you are done.

Step 1: Play through the game [15+ Hours]

Just play through the game without worrying about trophies. Nothing is missable. Grab any Collectibles you see during your first playthrough. There will be many collectibles you can’t get, you will get those in the second step of this roadmap, because for some of them you need certain abilities that you get later in the story. The only recommendation is to get and equip the Jewel of Ziteo Gouri as soon as possible. This item pings all secrets/collectibles around you, this way you can grab them as you go past them. You can get this item in “The Gallery” area as soon as you have 7500 red orbs:

Then enter the newly opened door and interact with the chest to get the Jewel of Ziteo.

Under Accessibility Settings you can also highlight interactable objects in a different color, this highlights collectibles too.

Step 2: Clean up Collectibles [5+ Hours]

After playing through the game once, you are familiar with all the power-ups and how to use them. Now, get back to each area and get the remaining collectibles. Refer to God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide.

You can enhance equipment at any campsite. Interact with a camp and select “Enhance”. You need Blood Orbs as well as different items for each part to upgrade. You can find those items in chests, by defeating certain enemies, by completing Ephor trials and by finding them in the world. Enhance any equipment to get this trophy.
	Quick Study Purchase a Skill

	The Lionheart Return the Lion Coat
You receive the coat automatically during the final main story quest “With it or on it”. After you finish the main story, talk to Amara in Sparta to unlock this trophy.
	Rightful Owners Return the Treasure Map
You’ll get the Treasure Map after defeating “The Katergaris” in The Splintered Peak area during the story. After that, head back to the Kerkopes in the Laconian Woods area and turn in the map to get the trophy.
	Stonewalled Open the Gorgon Door
To unlock this door, you have to find and hit 4 different gorgon heads. See » God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide. After that, head to the door in Stone Hollows and enter it to unlock the trophy. Be aware that there is a boss fight behind that door.
	Cryptic Open the Mosaic Door
To unlock this door and the trophy, you must find 4 graveyards where you have to pick up a tile after defeating enemies at each graveyard. See » God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide. Then travel to The Sunken Agora and use the elevator to reach the bottom of the elevator shaft. The trophy unlocks as soon as you reach the bottom.
	Song of the Six Free the Final Owl

	Eye for an Eye Battle the Cyclops
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after defeating the cyclops in the prologue.
	Flying Solo Battle the Bird

	False Prophet Stop the Cult Revival
For this trophy, you have to beat the story first. Then a quest called “The Cost of Devotion” starts automatically. You have to defeat cultists at four different locations. See » God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide. The trophy unlocks after killing them at all four locations.
	With It or On It Carry the Boy Home
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after defeating Koteros, the final boss of the game, and after you and Daimos bring Vasilis back to Sparta.
	Come to a Head Battle the Dragon Heads
Throughout the game, you can find portals. Entering them teleports you to a small, isolated area where you will fight the dragon heads. There are a total of 6 portals to enter. See » God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide. The trophy unlocks after defeating all 6 of the portals.
	No Olive Branch Complete all Olive Tree Battles
When you find an olive tree, you can interact with it by pressing , which will start a battle that you need to finish. There are 24 olive trees to find. See » God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide. The trophy unlocks after completing all of them. The order does not matter.
	Amusing Complete all Muse Chambers
You can find the Chambers on the second floor in The Sanctuary. Each Chamber has a total of 3 challenges to complete. To enter the chambers, you have to defeat certain Bosses in the story. Have a look at the list below to see which Boss unlocks what Chamber. Muse Chamber #1: Ioke Boss Muse Chamber #2: Ponea Boss Muse Chamber #3: Apate Boss After completing all trials, use the elevator in Sanctuary and get to the top floor, and leave through the left side. Here, move forward and upstairs to unlock the trophy.
	Battle Tested Complete all Ephor Trials
There are a total of 9 trials to complete. You can find the altar on the left side in the Gallery region. Interact with the altar and select trials. You do not need to complete each time or skill requirement for every trial. Beating the lowest time is enough to complete a trial. After completing all 9 trials, the trophy will pop.
	Deep Learning Obtain all Skills
You can purchase skills at any campsite. Interact with a camp and select “Learn”. You need Blood Orbs to buy a skill. A good option to farm blood orbs is to repeat the Ruination Ephor trial.
	Gift of the Gods Obtain all Blessings of Olympus
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after getting all 9 gifts of Olympus. 	Thunderstruck Battle the Beast
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Unlocks after defeating Koteros, the final boss of the game.
	The Summit Battle the Trio
For this trophy, you need to progress the story at least until you defeat Apate (the seventh main story boss). Then you need to finish all Muse chambers. See Amusing. Then head to The Drifting Spire area. Here, turn the big wheel by 180 degrees so the air goes up. Now get into the airstream to reach the ladder, then climb it up and go left to find the trio consisting of Ioke, Ponea, and Apate. Defeat this trio to unlock the trophy.
	All Eyes on Thee Battle the Escaped
For this trophy, you need to finish the “The Escaped” side quests. You can find this quest by talking to the apes in the Passage of Monuments area. To finish this quest, you need to find and defeat 5 cyclops. See » God of War Sons of Sparta Collectible Guide.
