Hogwarts Legacy Ollivander’s Heirloom Walkthrough

Ollivander’s Heirloom is the sixteenth main quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Ollivander’s Heirloom Main Mission.

Quest Info: Professor Fig told Mr Ollivander about my resourcefulness in locating the book in the Restricted Section. Impressed by my work, Mr Ollivander asked me to do some detective work for him. He’s searching for a wand that disappeared from his shop. A student named Richard Jackdaw was suspected of stealing it, but he disappeared at the same time as the wand. I investigated the Owlery and discovered a puzzle involving jackdaw statues. After solving the puzzle, the ghost of Richard Jackdaw appeared. Jackdaw believes the wand and the missing pages I seek are with his remains in the cave where he died. He told me to meet him at the edge of the Forbidden Forest and he’ll show me the location of the cave entrance.

• Return the Bird Sculptures to their Perches

Starting Location: Ollivander’s Heirloom

This quest is exclusive to Ravenclaw. Depending on your house you will get a different main quest at this point in the story:

We’ve made the acquaintance of archeologist and historian Nora Treadwell who introduced us to the Trials of Merlin, environmental puzzles scattered all throughout Hogwarts and the Highlands. After solving our first Trial of Merlin, we received a letter from Mr Ollivander who wants to see us at his shop in Hogsmeade.

Visit Mr Ollivander in Hogsmeade

Warp to Hogsmeade. Here, enter Ollivander’s wand shop, slightly north-east of the Floo Flame. If you need it, press  to activate your Charmed Compass leading you to the destination. Inside the shop press to start the quest.

Investigate the Owlery

Warp to Bell Tower Courtyard from the Bell Tower Wing and make your way to the destination. Enter the Owlery and get upstairs. The upstairs section is split into two sub-sections: the area with the ladder and the area above the ladder. In both areas there are some small perches. Some of these have handles you can pull down with Accio to see if they hide jackdaw statues. Do this in both areas, making sure you don’t forget about the perches at the very top of the Owlery. Pointing your camera after climbing up the ladder will help you find them. Then, proceed to the next quest marker to interact with a darker jackdaw statue.

Return the Bird Sculptures to their Perches

Place the jackdaw statues you’ve picked up onto their perches to trigger a cutscene during which we make the acquaintance of Richard Jackdaw. He promises to show us the location of Ollivander’s heirloom wand.

This finishes Ollivander’s Heirloom in Hogwarts Legacy.
