Introduction
Welcome to the Resident Evil Requiem Trophy Guide (aka Resident Evil 9)! This is one of the easiest Resident Evil platinums to get. The speedrun time limit of 4 hours is very lenient and can be done in under 3 hours, and Insanity difficulty is trivial thanks to infinite ammo and infinite rocket launcher that defeats all enemies in one hit. The one big thing to keep in mind is to spend your CP (Challenge Points) wisely between playthroughs. Don’t use them on things you don’t need or you might end up short on points for the important items. After the first playthrough you’ll want to buy the unbreakable knife “Koketsu” to use for the Speedrun without healing/blood collector. Then after the Speedrun you will have over 100,000 CP to buy infinite ammo and infinite RPG. Don’t buy the Concept Art and Models until you’re done with the Insanity run. It’s also a good idea to spread manual saves evenly throughout the game, one from each main region. Because there’s no chapter select, this is the next best thing to jump back to all areas and quickly clean up any missed trophies.
Step 1: Casual Difficulty Playthrough + All Collectibles [10-15 Hours]
Follow the Resident Evil Requiem Collectible Guide to get everything possible in one playthrough. It also contains all missable location-specific trophies so you don’t need to keep track of anything.
It’s recommended to play on the lowest difficulty ‘Casual’ to make some trophies easier. You will have more ammo and enemies die faster, which is beneficial for various trophies. If you really want, you can also play on Standard (Medium) difficulty, and if a trophy is giving you trouble can keep it for one of the next playthroughs.
Keep a manual save in a different slot after each story trophy. These can be used like a chapter select to jump between areas if you missed anything.
Beating the game once on any difficulty will unlock Insanity difficulty (beating Casual is enough), and all Challenges become viewable.
Step 2: Casual Difficulty Speedrun + No Healing + No Blood Collector [3-4 Hours]
After the first playthrough you will have around 27,000 CP (Challenge Points) if you got all collectibles and miscellaneous trophies. If you’re missing
Bloodlust for consuming 5000 blood, reload an old save, consume Transfusion Bags, rinse and repeat until it unlocks. It can be farmed very fast via save reload. Then you have it out of the way and never need to worry about consuming blood again, and you get lots of CP for completing this.
Before the Speedrun, go to Bonuses > Special Content > buy “Koketsu (Grace)”. It’s an unbreakable knife for 5,000 CP. Since you can’t use the Blood Collector to craft any ammo, it will come in handy to have an unbreakable knife. If the knife gets stuck in an enemy be sure to get it back before moving on or it will be lost.
For the speedrun you never want to pick up the Blood Collector and never use any healing items (herbs, injectors). You can track it under Challenges > Never Touch the Stuff / Minimalist. The counters must stay at “0” for the entire playthrough, then the trophies unlock in the end screen. If the counter goes up the trophy is voided.
On Casual difficulty, your health automatically recharges to Yellow (Moderate). So if you take damage it’s fine, just keep going, no need to stay at full health. You can pick up and discard healing items but can’t consume them. Crafting and selling them is fine too and doesn’t increase the challenge counter.
You can check your time under Challenges > Speed Demon. Pausing the game also pauses the timer. Refer to
Speed Demon for time estimates on each area. To save time on Puzzles refer to the Puzzle Solutions.
–> Don’t waste any CP (Challenge Points) on other Bonus Items! Save them for after the Speedrun to buy Infinite Ammo + Infinite RPG for the Insanity run (costs 100,000 CP). Beating the game in under 4 hours also unlocks the Infinite Ribbon to make unlimited saves on Insanity.
Step 3: Insanity Difficulty Playthrough [3 Hours]
After the Speedrun you will have over 100,000 CP to buy Infinite Ammo + Infinite RPG from the Bonus menu. Buy these and start a new game on Insanity. The Infinite RPG will kill everything in one hit. The RPG can only be used as Leon, it’s picked up from the Supply Boxes which will start spawning from the beginning now.
For Grace you can use the infinite Requiem revolver, which kills regular enemies in two shots to the body or one headshot.
There are some additional enemy spawns on Insanity and they move faster, but with the Bonus Items it’s no more difficult than the first Casual playthrough.
Step 4: Unlock All Concept Art + Models
After beating Insanity you get more than enough CP to buy all Concept Art and Models, which cost a combined 10,000 CP total. Buy these from the bonus menu and the platinum is yours.

Out of Sight, Out of Mind Store an item in the item box as Grace. |

![]() |
The Ol’ Fashioned Way Use an ink ribbon to save at a typewriter. |
|
| Ink Ribbons are exclusively found on Insanity difficulty & Standard (Classic). They do not exist on Casual & Standard Modern. On these difficulties they are required to make manual saves at typewriters. They look like little black round ribbons and are frequently found throughout the game. Pick up one of these and make a manual save at any typewriter save point. | ||
![]() |
Like Mother, Like Daughter Unlock a drawer with a lockpick. |
|
| This can only be done as Grace. Lockpicks and locked drawers can be found throughout the Care Center area while playing as Grace. For example, one Lockpick is in the Lead Researcher’s Office (safe room with typewriter), on the 2nd floor of the East Wing. You find the lockpick to the left of the typewriter. Then use it on any locked drawer, which get marked on the map when near them. One is in the hallway where you enter the East Wing of Care Center for the first time. Another is on the 2nd floor of the West Wing in the corridor after Bar & Lounge. | ||
![]() |
Fatal Dose Defeat a zombie using the hemolytic injector. |

Science! Unlock a crafting recipe using analysis. |
|
| While playing as Grace, in Care Center > Blood Lab, you will pick up the key items “Blood Collector” and “Blood Specimen (Denatured)”. In the same room you can interact with the Analyzer, then must solve the sequence by turning all atoms red. This unlocks new crafting recipes and unlocks the trophy. | ||

The Power of Blood Craft an item using the blood collector. |
|
Now press Touchpad and go to the Crafting Menu. Craft any item that requires Infected Blood (Handgun Ammo, Hemolytic Injector etc). To get Infected Blood you can use the Blood Collector on Blood Buckets you often find standing on the floor, or use it on the bodies of defeated zombies. |

See The Power of Blood on how to unlock crafting items with the Blood Collector. After you unlocked crafting, simply craft items for a total combined 300 infected blood (e.g. Handgun Ammo, Hemolytic Injector etc). You can farm this via save reload. Craft Handgun Ammo, reload save, repeat until the trophy unlocks. All cumulative trophies are farmable via save reload. |

Bring Out the Big Guns Stun the Girl with Requiem. |
|
| “The Girl” is the big female enemy that chases you around the Care Center. You must shoot her once with the “Requiem” revolver, which Grace gets automatically when reaching the Central Hall in the Care Center. Afterward, “The Girl” will chase you in the basement and again in the Water Treatment Plant.
The best opportunity to get this trophy is during the Water Treatment Plant, when you have to turn on 3 power switches. There the game gives you a bunch of Requiem ammo and wants you to stun her while turning on the power. |

Untouchable Parry an enemy attack. |
|
As Leon, with the combat axe press to parry just before a zombie’s melee attack hits you. This requires precise timing and can take a few tries. Should your combat axe become dull, you can resharpen it with + . You can do this practically anywhere while playing as Leon. |
||
![]() |
Can I Borrow This? Throw a weapon dropped by an enemy. |
|
This can be done as Leon only. Enemies will sometimes drop their melee weapons which you can then interact with ( ) to automatically throw them at the nearest enemy. Do this one time to get the trophy. The best and earliest opportunity is when you play Leon for the first time, during the Prologue in Wrenwood. One of the zombies on the street will carry a melee weapon, after defeating him you can immediately throw the weapon, making this your first potential trophy in the game. |
||
![]() |
Chop Chop Defeat three zombies with a hatchet finishing attack. |
|
While playing as Leon, you will sometimes get an prompt to perform a finisher with his combat axe. This happens occasionally when enemies are at low health, especially when they fall to the floor or you shoot them in the legs a few times. Do 3 of these axe finishers total across the game. Should happen naturally over the course of the game. Especially the Blister Head enemies are prone to finishers when you shoot them in the head or leg a few times. |
||
![]() |
Retail Therapy Purchase an item from the supply box. |
|
| The “Supply Box” is first reached while playing as Leon in Raccoon City, after unlocking the save point in the Central Camp. You can then interact with the big green box next to the save point to buy items. Every enemy you kill will give credits that can be exchanged for items. | ||
![]() |
Tailor Made Upgrade a weapon. |
|
| As Leon, you must add a new part to a weapon.
The first opportunity to earn this is while playing as Leon in the Care Center Attic. The first Warped Closet you come across can be broken open with Leon’s axe, it contains a Compensator for Leon’s Pistol. It’s between the Attic and Attic Storage. From the inventory combine the weapon part with the gun to unlock the trophy. Later in Raccoon City you can use Supply Boxes to buy weapon upgrades. |
||
![]() |
Road Rage Stop one of Victor’s attacks on the highway. |
|
| This takes place during the motorcycle section as Leon in Raccoon City, after using the Detonator to blow up the gate in East Raccoon City. This is an automatic story section. During the motorcycle ride, Victor will drive ahead of you on another motorcycle and shoots an RPG at you. He has a red arrow over his head when he’s about to do this. Then quickly shoot him to interrupt his attack, which unlocks the trophy.
While this is technically missable, it’s so easy that you’ll probably get it naturally without trying. You have infinite SMG ammo during this section so can keep shooting at him the entire time. There are two opportunities throughout the motorcycle ride. The earliest opportunity is immediately when you see Victor on his bike for the second time. Another opportunity is after you drive while blowing up red explosive canisters. If you miss it, reload one of the previous autosaves to retry. |
||
![]() |
Master Craftsman Craft every possible item with Leon. |
|
| You unlock all items for crafting with Leon during the Raccoon City Center area. When you find the required materials you unlock the items for crafting automatically when pressing Touchpad > Crafting.
You can make a manual save, craft everything possible, reload save to get materials back, craft the next batch of items. You don’t need to have crafted them on the same save, it still counts if you reload save after. There are 9 items total for crafting:

![]() |
Bang For Your Buck Defeat at least three enemies with a single Requiem shot. |
|
| The “Requiem” is the revolver that Grace automatically receives in the Central Hall of the Care Center. Line up any 3 zombies and shoot them so the bullet passes through all three. Any room with 3 enemies will do.
A good opportunity is in the East Wing of Care Center, after going through the Examination Room you go through the corridor between Isolation Ward and Waiting Room. There 3 enemies come from the corridor and they’ll be walking in a line. Another good opportunity is in Isolation Ward – after getting the ID Wristband Level 3, on your way out of the Isolation Ward there will be a line of zombies walking into the hallway. You can shoot them from behind. |
||
![]() |
Cat Got Your Tongue? Cut the tongue off a Licker β2 using the hatchet. |
|
This can only be done as Leon in ARK area, when playing him for the second time in ARK (after Grace’s ARK section). This is very late in the game. You will automatically encounter a few Lickers as Leon, they are the crawler enemies with sharp claws and they sometimes attack with their long tongue. Wait for one to use the tongue attack and press to perform a counter. This will cut off the tongue and unlocks the trophy. What makes this tricky is that the Lickers don’t use the tongue attack very often. You can walk back and forth at a distance until one does this attack. The counter timing is also slightly tricky and requires perfect timing, just before the Tongue reaches Leon. |
||
![]() |
Order Up! Defeat the chef in the care center in the main story. |
|
This can be done as either Grace or Leon in the Kitchen area of the Care Center. You automatically walk into the Chef when entering the Kitchen for the first time, as he’ll be blocking the main path. He’s a big male zombie with a cleaver. He has more health than regular zombies. On Casual/Standard, doing one headshot with the Requiem and 4-5 headshots with the pistol should suffice. He also drops the Pantry Key which you can use to open the door in the Kitchen. If you don’t kill him as Grace, you get another chance later when playing as Leon in the Care Center. |
||
![]() |
Deadly Duet Defeat the two singers in the main story. |
|
| While playing as Grace in the Care Center, you will automatically encounter two singing zombies on the story path. However, killing these zombies is optional. You will hear them singing from far away so they are easy to recognize.
The first is in the room “Bar & Lounge” on the 2nd floor of the West Wing. It’s a female zombie, in a white dress. You go there on the path to reaching the Chairman’s Office in the story. If you don’t have enough ammo at that point, you can come back after making more progress in the Care Center. The second is in the room “Conference Room” on the 2nd floor of the East Wing. This is also a female zombie, in a turquoise dress. You can reach this after obtaining the Key Item “ID Wristband (Level 1)”. |
||
![]() |
Grace and Goliath Defeat a Chunk as Grace. |
|
| This is done as Grace in the Care Center. You automatically encounter the “Chunk” monster when you approach the ID Wristband Level 1 (key item). It’s on the 2nd floor of the East Wing, in the corridor at Lead Researcher’s Office. Upon picking up the ID Wristband, a big blob enemy will start to chase you.
Shoot him until he dies. This is the only Chunk you can kill as Grace. If you don’t have enough ammo to defeat him immediately, advance with the story in the Care Center and come back later to kill him. Chunk will briefly despawn at certain story progress, but he will reappear in the East Wing one last time after using the ID Wristband Level 3 on Emily’s cell. This would be your final chance to kill him. He does have considerably more health than the Chef, on Casual it takes 1 Requiem Headshot and 16 Pistol Headshots. If you can’t defeat him, you can do it during your Insanity difficulty run with infinite ammo enabled. |
||
![]() |
Internal Dispute Make a zombie attack another zombie in the hospital wards. |
|
This can be done only as Grace in the Care Center, in the Waiting Room. First, you will need an Empty Bottle. You can find one in the Dining Hall of the West Wing, on the shelf behind the dining table. Keep it with you. Then proceed until you open up the door to the East Wing. Keep a manual save from this point, the trophy is easy to mess up if you go too far. This trophy is tricky and can take several attempts, if you fail will need to reload save. Advance until you go through the Examination Room, and go down the next corridor. 3 zombies will come from the red-lit corridor, kill them quickly, then enter the Waiting Room through the door on the right. You have to make the blind zombie (guy in white gown) attack the maid zombie (woman in black dress). Destroy the first vase on the right and hide in the corner, this will lure both zombies to the destroyed vase. When they both stand next to each other, throw the empty bottle at the maid, then the blind zombie will attack her which unlocks the trophy. Don’t have either of them hear your footsteps or they will chase you. Also don’t let the maid zombie leave the room. If you kill either zombie before getting this trophy, you’ll miss out on it and need to reload save. If you take too long, the maid will leave the room to clean up the 3 zombies in the corridor. |
||
![]() |
Seasoned Pro Defeat 300 enemies. |
|
| Self-explanatory, defeat a total of 300 enemies across all playthroughs. Can be farmed via save reload & checkpoint restart. This is basically an automatic story trophy, you will get it naturally during your first playthrough, there are way more enemies than needed so don’t worry about this. | ||
![]() |
Not Today, Buds! Defeat all the Plant 43 seedlings. |
|
This is done while playing as Leon in Raccoon City Cente. After the Orphanage, after defeating the Super Tyrant boss ( I Remember That, Too), you will enter a train where you are automatically attacked by the first Plant 43 Seedling. They look like vines with sharp teeth. You must shoot them when they open their “mouth” to kill them. There are 9 total. The first is defeated automatically and the other 8 are all in the cave section that follows. If you thoroughly explore the cave and its side paths you will encounter the rest along the way.

Speed Demon Complete the main story by releasing Elpis within four hours. |
|
| This is the Speedrun trophy that requires you to beat the game in under 4 hours. This is best done on Casual difficulty and combined with not using any healing and not using the Blood Collector. The 4 hour time limit is very lenient, it’s doable in under 3 hours. If you’re going to combine it with the no Blood Collector run, you should buy the unbreakable knife “Koketsu” under Bonus > Special Items. This way you can melee enemies to interrupt them and run past them without spending ammo.
At the end you have to choose “Release Elpis”, picking the other choice doesn’t unlock the trophy. After the first playthrough, you can view your time under Challenges > Speed Demon. The time stops while you’re in the pause menu. Beating the game in under 4 hours also unlocks the Infinite Ribbon in the Bonus Menu, which lets you make unlimited manual saves on Insanity difficulty. Here are the target times for each area with a 3 hour end result and 1 hour to spare:

Credit Where Credit Is Due Earn 200,000 credits. |
|
| As Leon, you must pick up the key item “Tactical Tracker” at East Raccoon City > Central Camp. It’s in plain sight on the first Supply Box next to a save point.
Afterward, every enemy you defeat will grant credits that can be exchanged at Supply Boxes for weapons, upgades, ammo etc. Just like all cumulative trophies, this counts across all playthroughs. The credits only count as “earned” when you interact with a Supply Box to update your total score. The trophy is guaranteed to come automatically during your second playthrough. Don’t even worry about it, you get far more than 200,000 credits while working towards platinum. After the first playthrough, you unlock a tracker for this in the Challenge Menu. However, any score earned in the first playthrough will count too. |

Bloodlust Collect 5000 microsamples of infected blood with the blood collector. |

| This can quickly be farmed via save reload. First, you must find the Blood Collector. While playing as Grace, in Care Center > Blood Lab, you will pick up the key item “Blood Collector”.
Now collect some Transfusion Bags, they are found all over the game. A few of them can be found throughout the Care Center as Grace, for example in “Cold Storage” where you get the Artificial Heart. Deplete the blood in your Blood Collector by crafting items (Handgun Ammo, Hemolytic Injector etc). Make a manual save. Now consume the Transfusion Bags from the inventory to get blood instantly, reload the save, rinse and repeat until the trophy unlocks. Just like all other cumulative trophies it counts across all playthroughs and via save reload. After the first playthrough, you unlock a tracker for this in the Challenge Menu. However, you can already earn the trophy in the first playthrough, some challenge trackers are just hidden until completing the story once. |

Thank you for the trophy guide. I’m very surprised at the length of the Platinum trophy only being 20 hours, but that does sound way better than the many playthroughs I had to do to complete the Resident Evil 2 and 4 remakes, meaning it’s similar to the RE7 and RE3 Remake Platinum trophies (but fortunately this game’s first full playthrough is supposedly 10-16 hours long at most, rather than definitely being less than 10 hours when doing everything). It’s almost guaranteed that Capcom will add microtransactions to this game (like they do with most of their new games), which I hate to see in premium single-player games, but considering the Platinum trophy difficulty is reasonable already, it probably won’t be as problematic as the ones added to the RE2/RE4 remakes, since earning enough Completion Points is feasible.

Very disappointed, dont think there is enough challenge like 4 remake, or 8…

How does the new game plus work with currency and weapon upgrades?

Hi, thanks for the guide. At the beginning it says “PS4/PS5 autopop YES/NO” and the text says “There is no PS5 version which is incorrect and should say there is no PS4 version.

Yep, fixed it.

Hello, I have a question. I see there are three trophy lists for the game, meaning we can get the trophy three times. Could you tell me which regions they are in, please?
PowerPyx says
North America, EU, Japan.
