The Plucky Squire contains 60 Collectible Locations (10 Glitchbirds, 50 Art Scrolls). Finding all of them unlocks the following trophies & achievements:
- Saviour of the Glitchbirds – Rescue all Glitchbirds.
- Art Collector – Find all Art Scrolls.
At the time of writing, all collectibles are missable! While there is a chapter select, the Glitchbirds don’t count there, and the merchant that sells Art Scrolls glitches out in Chapter Select. For the trophies & achievements you must find them all in one playthrough from start to end. There are 10 chapters total. As the game has only 1 Autosave, it is highly recommended to make a save game backup (Cloud Save) at the start of every chapter. If you missed something, restore the save and replay from there.
This guide also includes all trophies/achievements so you will get platinum and 100% completion by following this.
Important: Also pick up every single “Bulb” you see and hit everything for Bulbs, since you need almost all of them to buy all Scrolls and Skill Upgrades in a single run. Bulbs are this game’s form of currency which you spend at the merchant Martina.
Chapter 1
Scroll 1 – after the Witch joins you, you will find it in the top-middle section of the next screen.
Scroll 2 – can be bought for 20 bulbs from Martina on the next screen.
Glitchbird 1 – on the next screen. Warning: if you get too close to the right exit, a cutscene will start and you will not be able to grab it!
Chapter 2
Scroll 3 – on the top of the screen with the first bull, behind some trees.
Scroll 4 – bought from Martina for 20 bulbs in this chapter.
Scroll 5 – on the dark screen, behind the tree in the lower left corner.
Glitchbird 2 – in the middle of the area with lightning strikes, behind a wall.
Scroll 6 – at next Martina shop for 20 bulbs.
Scroll 7 – lower left corner on the screen with green slimes and books.
Chapter 3
Scroll 8 – at the start of the chapter, enter 3D world and turn 2 pages back and you will see it in the book’s upper right corner behind a tree.
Glitchbird 3 – in the same area, go inside Jot’s house to find it (the house on the left).
Scroll 9 – in 3D head north and climb up, follow the path to the end to find it up there.
Chapter 4
Trophy “Huge Frog” – switch the words TINY and HUGE in the puzzle.
Scroll 10 – can be bought from Martina starting in this level
Trophy “Perfect Fish Grab” – you will have to grab the fish on your first attempt, if you fail, just quit into the menu and try again, a checkpoint was just a minute ago when you entered the page.
Trophy “Huge Bridge” – grab the word HUGE from the previous page and use it to make the bridge HUGE in the frog area.
Scroll 11 – on the page with the DAYTIME and NIGHT puzzle, top left tree.
Scroll 12 – top right of the dark cave section.
Scroll 13 – in the 3D world, behind the yellow dice you will have to push.
Scroll 14 – After opening the large gate in the 3D world with the key, you will find yourself in a room with a black ramp that has a white pattern. Check the corner on the right in front of the white sticker on the wall.
Glitchbird 4 – when you reach the town, enter 3D and go back 2 pages. There is a hidden portal on a black page on the left side of the snail’s home.
Scroll 15 – bought from Martina again.
Scroll 16 – after a bug kidnaps your friends, on the next page it is on the tree in the bottom left.
Chapter 5
Note: Scroll 17 (as per in-game gallery order) is located after Scroll 21.
Scroll 18 – in a small house on the bottom left.
Scroll 19 – can be bought from Martina for 20 bulbs.
Scroll 20 – once in 3D world, go to the upper right corner and jump through the duct tape there. Follow the path to the right to find it in a cup.
Scroll 21 – before going up the intended path, after the first slope go down instead to the Rubik’s Cube. Follow the path to the left and at the end you will reach this scroll.
Scroll 17 – reward for bringing back all the pigs to Umber.
Scroll 22 – once inside the castle, in the upper right corner behind a thumbtack thing.
Glitchbird 5 – on the left side of the castle, you need to approach it from behind through a hidden entrance, the guard won’t let you pass from the front.
Chapter 6
Scroll 23 – in the area where you have to get 2 devil’s horns hands to open a door, upper left corner, hit the devil’s horns tree.
Scroll 24 – can be bought from Martina for 20 bulbs.
Scroll 25 – in the bottom right corner of the dark cave.
Trophy “Cheese Mushrooms” – replace GLOWING with CHEESE when you see the mushrooms.
Scroll 26 – on the table again. With the jetpack head to the left side of the table and navigate through the parkour there. When you reach the green circle to switch into 2D, instead go up to the left to find it in a tree.
Scroll 27 – jetpack inside the mug where you get the second part from. (The part on the right that wants you to light some candles).
Scroll 28 and Trophy “Star Walker” – on top of the projector where you get the 3rd needed part. Just jetpack up there for the scroll and the trophy.
Glitchbird 6 – once you get the Weedkiller bombs, turn back a few pages to destroy a weed-blockade to find it behind it.
Trophy “Cheese Pillar” – grab the word CHEESE from earlier and use it to transform one of the speakers into cheese.
Scroll 29 – in the cave where you get the word FRACTURED from, which you need for the speakers. Check behind the left pillar in that cave.
Scroll 30 – bought from Martina for 20 bulbs.
Chapter 7
Scroll 31 – bought from Martina for 20 bulbs.
Glitchbird 7 – to the left of the hot air balloon. Come back to the page once you get the bomb stamp to clear the path (will be pointed out below when you must backtrack to it).
Scroll 32 – have Tumba dig behind the tree in the upper left corner of where you encounter a locked door that needs a key.
Scroll 33 – when retrieving the amber on the left side you will enter a mug. Keep going to the right while inside the mug to find it.
Scroll 34 – you will see it the moment you open the gate in 3D world. Just keep following the path until you enter the dino tail and 2D and there you can find it inside the dino leg.
Scroll 35 – when you get back to 3D instead of entering the next 2D area, run to the right edge of the screen to find it there.
Scroll 36 – when using the bomb stamp for the first time, bomb the stone to the right of the tanks to unveil it.
Glitchbird 7 – go back where the hot air balloon was. Place the bomb to clear the path to get the bird.
Scroll 37 – before exiting the cave section, there is a small hidden room to the left of where you placed the last bomb on the button to create a bridge.
Scroll 38 – bought from Martina on the small island.
Chapter 8
Scroll 39 – at the first screen, left side, behind the bonfire.
Scroll 40 – inside Salvador Dali house on the right side of the town. (Melting clock house)
Scroll 41 – exit to the 3D area where you have to destroy the tanks with bombs, run right to find it there behind some books there.
Glitchbird 8 – after defeating the Mage. After you see the caped figure again on the next page, go to the left side to find it next to a tree.
Chapter 9
Glitchbird 9 – enter the yellow-illuminated room Pip came from after he opened the bridge for you. Follow the room to the left to find it.
Scroll 42 – at the “Utter Dead End” head right to the hangout spot to find it.
Scroll 43 – to the right of where you retrieved your Tilt Gauntlets.
Scroll 44 – follow the cockroach path to the very north to find it, instead of going left as the arrow suggests.
Scroll 45 – once you get back to the bottom (the level of the table where the book usually was) run to the southern direction, past the birthday card and cut some trees between 2 ink bottles and you can find the scroll there. You can see it there immediately when entering the 3D section but you start without a sword so you can’t get it until now.
Scroll 46 + Trophy “Bust Buster” – in the puzzle room with crates, replace the words DIAMOND and BROKEN at the bust, then place a bomb on it.
Scroll 47 – bought from Martina.
Scroll 48 – in the piperoom bomb the stone on the left, above the pipeline.
Scroll 49 – bought from Martina.
Scroll 50 – when arriving at the tower, after watching the cutscene check the trees on the right side.
Glitchbird 10 – in the room with pipes and a guy mopping the floor, check behind the cylinder on the right.
Chapter 10
No collectibles in this chapter!

You can go back and forth between pages and bulbs will respawn.
I grinded to 50 bulbs from the trees on the first and second pages of chapter 1 just to be on safe side.
Having 50 bulbs at the start is more than enough to always have money to spend at the shop as you’ll always be adding to it.

You can also farm a couple on the rat +block of cheese screen. Grab the bulbs, die to the rat, and the bulbs will respawn. Repeat and profit.

I wish I read this before beating the game, now I have to go back and farm for those lol

Take seriously the tip about farming bulbs, beat the game with 1 upgrade still to buy and no bulbs left because of the arts scrolls, so I had to do another run until chapter 7 to have enough bulbs to buy the skills what I already did earlier and the last one.
Hope they change this in the future…

Won’t help now but anyone playing through if you die on a screen after hitting all the bushes and tree you can hit them all again. I farmed like 100 bulbs on the screen with the big rat with the block in front of it and it was pretty quick.

My Adventure Complete trophy is stuck at 80%, eve if I replay the chapter at Adventure difficult it doesn’t unlock. It bugged during the three boss fight mini games, it isn’t supposed to let me skip them but it still gives me that option. If someone known a way that it’s not playing from the start to fix this, please. Please tell me. Or it I’ll be stuck at 98% all my life.

Anyone else has the same problem like me? In chapter 9 after you turn the book to flip the face of the bad wizard to the door in order to open there is a room with a lots of enemies. After defeating them the jolt just standing in front of the elevator and game freezes cannot proceed only the sword can throw. Tried to load before saves nothing happens

The game has just received an update. Not sure what it does but maybe it’s for the collectibles being glitched using chapter select?

Game is very bugged right now (09/27/2024), keeps crashing and has the glitch bugs bug, where they don’t count.
Don’t recommend going to the platinum before they patch the game a lot.
