Zelda Tears of the Kingdom – How to Repair Broken Skyview Towers

May 11, 2023 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK), you will come across broken Skyview Towers. Their console will be sparking and broken. This can seem like a bug at first, but it’s not. There’s an easy fix to repair the terminals.

You must find the repairman, who is always somewhere near the tower. Sometimes they are trapped somewhere and you must free them, other times the repairman is standing outside the tower and offers you a clue what to do. For example, you must find a way inside the tower (either dropping in from above, or beam through the floor from below) to open the door for the repairman. You can repair all towers as soon as the story introduced you to unlocking the first one in Main Quest: Crisis at Hyrule Castle. You don’t need any late-game abilities for it.

Below is a list of all broken Skyview Towers and how to fix their broken Terminals:

  1. Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower – Left of the tower are big cubes, put 3 of these on the metal hook at the wooden scaffolding in front of the tower. This will raise the elevator with the repairman on it, directly in front of the tower itself. Talk to the repairman and he will fix the tower.
  2. Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower – Enter the cave directly north of the tower, you can see it from the tower, just a few meters/yards away. In the cave swim down the river, then put a wooden plank against the pillars below the tower in the water. Stand on the plank and use Ascend to beam up into the tower.
  3. Eldin Canyon Skyview Tower – Look for debris falling from the sky near the tower, stand on the debris and use Recall ability to be lifted in the air, then jump off and glide into the tower.
  4. Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower – Around the tower are floating platforms. Use Ultrahand to lower one to the ground, it will have 2 rockets on it. Attach a rocket onto the platform, it must face upward. Then stand on the platform, hit the rocket to go up, glide to the golden ring on the tower roof. From there you can use Ultrahand to left the platform blocking the tower top out of the way.
  5. Popla Foothills Skyview Tower – In front of the tower drop down the well to find the repairman locked in a cave. The cave entrance is south of the tower down the cliffs, at coordinates 0605, -2226, 0051. Enter the cave, stand on the pressure plate to free the repairman. Return to him at the tower and he’ll have fixed the terminal for you.
  6. Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower – In front of the tower stands a bird-person who tells you to look in the cave underneath the tower. Enter the cave just below the tower, then fuse weapons with rocks and hammer through the brown rocks to the side (not straight forward). If you reach a room with enemies you went too far, you must hammer the brown rocks leading directly underneath the tower on the side of the cave. When you reach a room with 3 white rocks you can beam up into the tower, then you can use Ultrahand to remove the sticks blocking the door and the repairman will fix the tower for you.
  7. Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower – Shoot the flying monster outside the tower. You can attach a Keese Eyeball to an arrow to have it home in on the enemy. It will drop the tower terminal, use Ultrahand to place it back inside the tower where it belongs, then the repairman fixes it.

The other towers are not broken and only require entering them and activating the terminal. If you need help with them refer to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom – All Skyview Towers.
