Hogwarts Legacy Wand Mastery Walkthrough

Wand Mastery is the forty-fifth main quest in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Wand Mastery Main Mission.

Requirement: having completed San Bakar’s Trial, Level 24
Reward: 300 XP
Quest Info: Mr Ollivander was able to use the artefacts I collected from above the Pensieves to craft the Keepers’ wand. When I exited the wand shop, however, Rookwood ambushed me and demanded that I hand it over. When I refused, his lot took me to a remote location, where they attempted to take it from me by force. I knew that the fate of the wizarding world was in my hands, so against all odds, I defeated Rookwood and everyone he brought with him. Now, I need to bring the wand to Professor Fig and the Keepers in the Map Chamber.

Starting Location: Wand Mastery

We’ve passed all Keepers’ trials and must now head to the final repository of ancient magic, but to do so we need to craft a special wand at Ollivander’s

Consult with Gerbold Ollivander

Warp to Hogsmeade > South Hogsmeade and start the quest in front of Ollivander’s wand shop. Then, talk to him and watch the cutscene.

Defend Yourself from Rookwood’s Lot

Defeat all enemies. After killing all enemies, Victor Rookwood will join the fight. When he does, smash the prompt to counter his Avada Kedavra.

To defeat Rookwood, you need to use Stupefy. Stupefy is automatically cast when you press and hold / for Protego at the last possible moment. This is the only way to break his defensive shield. When his shield is gone, cast all possible Damage Spells on him. As for the other enemies, you can simply ignore them. Once Rookwood’s health bar is depleted, you’ll have to counter his Avada Kedavra once more to kill him for good.
