In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, during Main Quest: Follow the Fiery Trail, you get the objective “Find the Caretaker of Books” in the House of Wisdom Library. Follow these steps to find the Caretaker of Books location.
- Enter the library to the 2nd floor, drop down into the library to find the Caretaker’s dead body in the south-west corner of the House of Wisdom.
Step 1: When you arrive at the House of Wisdom in the corner furthest west in Abbasiyah district, there will be an orange quest marker in the courtyard. Go to it to hear some scholars talking and Basim saying he should check on the second floor. Climb up the wooden scaffold to the 2nd floor next to the quest marker.
Step 2: On the 2nd floor enter the window from the balcony, leading into the library.
Step 3: Drop down inside the library and go all the way to the end of the library. In the back corner at the very end of the library you find the dead body of the Caretaker of Books. When near him you can press Dpad Left and his body will be marked in yellow color. Interact with his body as well as the documents on the floor in front of him.
This completes the quest.
