The northeast area of Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is a secret region called Scaduview. It contains the Hinterland and Finger Ruins of Dheo for Ymir’s questline. This is one of the trickiest areas to reach. It requires performing a DLC-specific gesture in front of a statue to open a hidden path.
Full Path

The map below outlines the full path in red:
- To start, climb down Moorth Ruins (found south of Shadow Keep / east of Ensis Castle). This leads to Bonny Village.
- Go through Bonny Village eastward, then follow the path north to reach Church District at Shadow Keep.
- Go through this area to reach “Storehouse, Back Section” site of grace.
- Climb the ladder behind the site of grace
- Go upstairs, through hole on right wall to get outside
- Go up wooden stairs to reach “Storehouse, Loft”
- Enter elevator
- Go over the wooden beams, climb down the two wooden ladders at the north end (before entering another elevator)
- Go outside and take the the elevator down, then another elevator
- You will reach “Shadow Keep, Back Gate”.
To the right of “Shadow Keep, Back Gate” you find a room with a statue at the end. You must use the gesture “O Mother” in front of it. The statue will slide to the side and reveal a secret path. The use gestures open the menu, click on “Gestures” on the right side, choose “Switch” and “Test now” on the O Mother gesture.
The “O Mother” gesture is found in the northeast of Bonny Village at the cliffside on a corpse. You pass through Bonny Village on the way here.
After going through the now-open path you will reach the Hinterland site of grace. From there you can reach the Shaman Ruins and Finger Ruins of Dheo which are tied to Ymir’s questline.
