This guide shows all Door Codes and Safe Combinations for Silent Hill 2 Remake (PS5, PC). Many of them are mandatory for story progression. They are ordered chronologically by location.
South Vale (East) – Grand Market Door Lock Code
In the alley next to Grand Market you can find a locked door requiring a code. The door code is:
- 4442 (Light Puzzle Difficulty)
- 4444 (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
Woodside Apartments – Safe in Apartment 206
- 15 Right, 11 Left, 13 Right (Light Puzzle Difficulty)
- 13 Right, 7 Left, 11 Right (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
Blue Creek Apartments – Apartment 202 (“M” Door Moth Room Door Lock)
- 582 (Light Puzzle Difficulty)
- 373 (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
Blue Creek Apartments – Clock Time Combination
- To open the H door put the Hour Hand at number 9 (time 9 o’clock)
- To open M door put Hour Hand at 9, Minute Hand at 2 (time 9:10)
- To open S door put Hour at 9, Minute Hand at 2, Second Hand at 3 (time 9:10:15)
South Vale (West) – Inn Safe Code
- 0451
The code for the Safe can be found in a memo inside Apartment 107.
Brookhaven Hospital – Reception Office Cabinet
- 287 (Light Puzzle Difficulty)
- 724 (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
The code is found by reading the Nurse’s Memo found in Exam Room 3.
Brookhaven Hospital – Nurse’s Station Keypad
- 3578
You can find a note with the code on the bulletin board in the Doctors’ Lounge.
Brookhaven Hospital – X-Ray Puzzle + D1 Door Combination
- 4 Right, 37 Left, 12 Right (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
The code is obtained from the 4 X-Rays. 3 X-Rays can be found in the room itself and the 4th one can be found in a bathtub in the Nurse’s Staion and it has to be cleaned with the Mold Remover. Placing the 4 X-Rays correctly shows the code.
Brookhaven Hospital – Director’s Office – 3 Bracelets
- In the Director’s Office, place all three bracelets on the mannequin hand in this order from top to bottom: Bloodstained Bracelet (Top), Marked Bracelet (Mid), Filthy Bracelet (Bottom). Rotate them so they read 92-45-71 (Light + Standard Puzzle Difficulty).
Brookhaven Hospital – Director’s Safe Code
- Triangle in Circle, h, Circle with Arrow, Circle with Dot, Stickman with Horns, Circle with Lines (Light + Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
The solution can be found on the books in the side room which you can open with the key from the previous riddle.
Brookhaven Hospital (Otherworld) – Code for Chained Box, Left Lock
- 1622 (Light + Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
Enter Room M3 and smash the wall to find a memo on the floor. This memo contains the hints for the first code for the Chained Box. The first digit is the number of years in the first line of the memo, the second digit is the number of pills in the sink, the third digit is the time on the clock in Room M1 when you adjust it, the fourth digit is the number of flashes of the light when looking through the hole.
Brookhaven Hospital (Otherworld) – Code for Chained Box, Right Lock
- 9659 (Light + Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
Interact with the machine in room I7 to reveal the code.
Brookhaven Hospital (Otherworld) – Pharmacy Jeweled Box
- Q1 = 2, Q2 = 3, Q3 = 1 (Light + Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
The combination for the Box in Pharmacy are the correct answers from the Quiz inside the elevator.
Silent Hill Historical Society – Bug Room Code
This code is a random 3 digit combination of the only 3 buttons that are not covered in blood, so number 2 – 3 – 9 in any order. Possible combinations:

Lakeview Hotel – Reading Room Books
You will have to place the 4 books in correct order. Top left to bottom right:
- Revelations: A New Understanding, The One Who Soared, Stalwart to the End, Pride Before the Fall (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
Lakeview Hotel – Suitcase in Reading Room Secret Room
- DARK WISH (Light Puzzle Difficulty)
- DEED DONE (Standard Puzzle Difficulty)
You will have to paint a light bulb using red paint to reveal the code for it.
Lakeview Hotel – Employee Area Break Room Safe
