The Reloaded version uses the same list as the Ultimate Edition, which has notably less multiplayer grind than the original Xbox 360 list. The online trophies will still take up most of the time though. The campaign trophies will be quick enough and there are only 33 COG Tag collectibles to find. The campaign will need to be completed on Insane difficulty (highest difficulty). Ultimate Edition took around 100 hours to complete so expect around the same for the Reloaded version.

Private matches would be the saviour of the grind i hope they revamped it so you can play bots for the seriously achievements then me and my wife could just play without having to do any competitive or social where we don’t like playing against other players

I wouldn’t say this makes them a trash trophy hunter due to probably not liking the 10,000 versus kills. Maybe their time is precious. Most people have jobs and other responsibilities. I’m not too excited about that trophy either, mostly due to hoping the player base doesn’t drop off while im still working on it.

It wont take long. If you do 250 kills per day you can get 2000 kills in 8 days. If you do 150 kills per day you can get 1200 kills in 8 days.

10,000 here is not bad at all compared to the original Xbox 360 list. Back then the kills had to be in ranked matches, and there were no respawns in any mode. With this list you can play casual King of the Hill matches with infinite respawns and rack up hundreds of kills. Yes it will still take some time to get it, but nowhere near as long as the original.

Last week I done mafia 2 when you got to kill 1000 people on jimmy’s vendetta, that took ages and was boring as hell,

Hard pass. Played this when it first came out on 360, wasn’t great then isn’t worth my time or money now. This list is excruciating and you need to be braindead to sit through enough matches to kill 10,000 players.

On PlayStation, they could put online trophies on a separate list and everyone would be happy. Alternatively, add bots. No one can guarantee that a month after release anyone will be playing multiplayer, and then what? These days, players rarely play multiplayer if they’re playing a single-player game. They tend to choose multiplayer-focused games. In my opinion, some change is necessary because I don’t see any way to get that platinum trophy. I hope I’m wrong.

lol Gears remaster was not even close to OG in terms of players. Now we are talking about the remaster of a remaster of a 20 yo game, in an era dominated by Fortnite, LoL, Marvel Rivals, CoD, BF6, Fifa, 2K …. In my country (KR) the biggest retailer has almost 0 pre order …. Even trash game like Mandragora or Varlet are sold out. When i asked the owner of the franchise, he says in asia at least nobody cares about GoW. I think some ppl will be curious about the solo but i dont expect dozens Ks of players waiting in the matchmaking worldwide …

Many people will get the 10,000 kill trophy, But 99% of the people who will get that trophy aren’t going to be trophy hunters. Instead they will be players who just love gears of war and its multiplayer. Gears multiplayer is really big on xbox. It will have a decent sized fanbase on playstation too.
If you think this is bad you should see Gears of War 2 its get 100,000 kills but you can get that in all modes. It takes for ever to get 100,000 kills.

Got all serious achievements except the dlc ones added on after but probably give up on this as I don’t have the time and patience to grind this for a third time. They just ruin the fun of this franchise with all the stupid X amount of playthroughs to 100%

Online trophies so it’s a hard pass. I already had seriously 1.0 2.0 3.0 on xbox, but at that time everyone was playing gears. Now people play too many kind of games, i m not sure how long a remaster of a remaster of a 20 yo game can keep enough players to avoid long queues, especially here in Asia where no one ever cared about xbox franchise.
these are trophies that require 0 skill (back in the days if you hosted the game, you could do 30 kills in 10 minutes) but are just extremely repetitive and risky (before if someone left mid-game, the kills were usually not recorded in your total kills…). Why didn’t they focus on the solo experience …. Even something like finish the game on Insane alone with only the Lanzor.

Just seeing the trophy complete all chapters in co-op, can’t get much more Xbox then that, if you ain’t got a buddy going to be hard to find someone with the available time and hoping they ain’t a noob, rushes, gets downed, skips cinematics, complete one chapter would of been perfect, but the whole game

Sheesh ……… was hoping they’d modify this list to get rid of at least the 10K kills trophy. If it turns out you can do this in private matches against bots, like the KILLZONE: Shadow Fall MP was, then I might play this. But asking me to rack up 10K kills in a game that’s essentially almost 20 years old at this point, you can forget about it. Just don’t have that kind of time and eventually the mind-numbing boredom that would be required to do this. Too bad too as I’ve always really wanted to play the Gears games but this trophy alone is very likely to make it a HARD pass for me. Wish devs would get smart about needlessly grindy trophies like this. Difficult is one thing but long, grindy, dull and boring trophies like this have got to go.
