Introduction

Welcome to the Gears of War Reloaded Trophy Guide (2025 PS5 Remaster)! Gears of War: Reloaded is a remaster of the first Gears of War, now fully optimized for the latest generation of gaming platforms. Gears of War: Reloaded delivers all post-launch content for the original title, including a bonus campaign act, multiplayer maps, plus characters and cosmetics, at no additional cost.

Trophy-wise, the game requires finding all collectibles, completing the game in co-op, and playing through Insane difficulty. The list is the same as the Ultimate Edition. Play through the game in co-op on Insane difficulty first while getting all collectibles. Then get every multiplayer trophy, then grind the 10,000 kills. You will reach level 100 automatically while grinding the kills.

Step 1: Finish Campaign in Co-Op on Insane difficulty & Find all COG Tag Collectibles (5+ hours)

If you want to make Insane difficulty easier for yourself, then you can play the campaign in splitscreen. To make this work, start the game on your account and in the main menu sign into a second account on the same console (press :ps: with second controller, log into another account, then in Gears of War press :menu: ). Now select Campaign -> Split-Screen -> New Campaign. With Player 1 select Insane Difficulty. With Player 2 select Casual Difficulty. Now Player 1 can stay back while Player 2 can kill all enemies at the lower difficulty. While Player 2 takes less damage, the enemies will still have more health because they scale to Player 1’s difficulty. It is recommended that Player 2 is controlled by someone else or some parts of the game will get hard. This trick does not work in online co-op.

Step 2: Get All Multiplayer Trophies except 10,000 Kills and Level 100 (15+ hours)

Do these two trophies first:

  • :silver: THIS! IS! ANNEX!
  • :bronze: Nub Pwn3r

Those two can be done with just two players in a private game.

Then go for the following trophies:

  • :bronze: Mix It Up
  • :bronze: Around the World
  • :bronze: Handyman
  • :bronze: Better Late Than Never

If you try to boost these trophies, then you need 8 players. Or 4 consoles with 2 controllers each. Splitscreen does work for Multiplayer so every boosting partner can join with 2 controllers. Create a squad with 4 players and try to match up in public games.

Now go for these trophies:

  • :bronze: Don’t Hate the Player
  • :bronze: I Can See You!
  • :bronze: Can’t Touch Me
  • :bronze: CQC
  • :bronze: Don’t You Die On Me

Those trophies can be done in 2v2 Gnasher Execution. This can be boosted with 2 consoles and 2 controllers per console using splitscreen. Do these in Versus -> Competitive, as this gives more XP for the level required trophies than the 2v2 Gnasher mod in the Social playlist. Make sure to change at least one weapon skin between matches to get :bronze: Gimme Some Skin. At the end of this step, you should also be at least level 25. Which leaves you with only the two grindiest multiplayer trophies.

Step 3: Grind for 10,000 Kills & Level 100 (50+ hours)

The level and kills can be boosted in 2v2 Gnasher Execution and is recommended for this step. Try to find yourself in Competitive 2v2 Gnasher Execution, then just complete the match by killing your friends’ accounts. This way, you can get 14 kills in 4 minutes if you straight-up get the kills when the round starts. This makes ~200 kills an hour (10,000 kills / 200 per hour = 50 hours). You can view how many kills you have by going into the Main Menu. From here, select -> War Journal ->Statistics. While doing this, you will reach level 100 at around 3500 kills. Level 100 is needed for :bronze: Re-up. The trophy only unlocks after the match where you complete 10,000 kills. If you don’t want to boost these trophies, you can expect over 100+ hours of legit gameplay time.

Commando
Complete all acts on Insane Difficulty
Gold
Complete the entire campaign (all 5 Acts, including all their sub-chapters) on Insane difficulty. Insane is the highest difficulty. It’s available from the beginning. Beating the campaign on Insane difficulty unlocks all other difficulty-related trophies. You can do this via chapter select, and you do not complete all chapters in order.

On Insane, the enemies have more health, and you die much faster. Just stay in cover, quickly peek out of cover to take out one enemy, and repeat. It’s also recommended to do perfect reloads to take out enemies quickly.

You can check which Chapters are completed on Insane by going to chapter select and looking at each chapter’s name. If it has this symbol, it is completed on Insane.

Zen and the Art of Reloading
Perform 25 perfect active reloads (on any difficulty)
Bronze
See :bronze: Zen and the Art Part 2 below.
Zen and the Art Part 2
Perform 5 perfect active reloads in a row (on any difficulty)
Bronze
When you reload a weapon, you will see a slider on the upper right corner of the screen, below your weapon. You need to hit :r1: / :rb: when the white line that moves from left to right hits the little white square. You know you have done a perfect reload when the weapon is instantly reloaded. A perfect reload also gives damage boosts for the number of bullets that you reload. This means if you reload a full magazine, then the next magazine gives double damage. To earn this trophy, you need to do this five times in a row.

You can do this with every weapon except the Hammer of Dawn. Also, to not waste your bullets, do this at any checkpoint in the game. After getting the trophy, you can restart the checkpoint. To unlock :bronze: Zen and the Art of Reloading, you need to do 25 perfect reloads in total throughout the game.

Clusterluck
Kill 3 enemies at once 10 different times (on any difficulty)
Bronze
For this trophy, you need to use either a grenade, the Hammer of Dawn, the Boomshot rocket launcher or the Torque Bow. Three enemies need to die at the same time, not in rapid succession. A good place is in Act III Belly of the Beast – Chapter: Darkest before Dawn. At the end of this Chapter you enter a tunnel with lots of enemies. You can’t miss this part.

Run into that tunnel, wait till the enemies appear, and throw a grenade. If you are quick enough, you can even throw a second grenade. After getting the kills, you can reload the checkpoint and do it again. If done correctly, you will get a notification on the bottom right side of the screen saying “Clusterluck x/10”. Repeat until you unlock the trophy.

Dom-curious
Complete 1 co-op chapter in co-op (on any difficulty)
Bronze
See :bronze: I Can’t Quit You Dom.
Domination
Complete 10 different chapters in co-op (on any difficulty)
Bronze
See :bronze: I Can’t Quit You Dom.
I Can’t Quit You Dom
Complete all acts in co-op (on any difficulty)
Bronze
To unlock this trophy, you need to complete every Act and every chapter in co-op. It does not matter if you play some parts via splitscreen and the rest via online co-op. Also, it does not matter if you are the host or joining someone else. There is no way to track what chapters you completed in co-op.
Don’t You Die On Me
Revive 100 teammates in Versus multiplayer (social or competitive)
Bronze
For this, you need to revive a total of 100 downed teammates in a public game. You can either do it in any Social or Competitive match, it does not work in private games. When a teammate is downed, go near him and press :sq: / :x1: . The trophy only unlocks after the match is over. You don’t need to revive 100 teammates in one game. You can view how many revives you have by going into the Main Menu. From here, select -> War Journal -> Statistics.
Always Remember Your First
Finish playing a Versus match (social or competitive)
Bronze
To unlock this trophy, you need to complete a match in the Social or Competitive list, it does not unlock in private games.
Don’t Hate the Player
Finish with the highest point in a Versus match (social or competitive)
Bronze
To unlock this trophy, you need to complete a match in the Social or Competitive list with the most points in the match, it does not unlock in private games. You can boost this trophy using a second controller to play in splitscreen and a friend who also uses a second controller. Try to find yourself in 2v2 Gnasher Execution, then just complete the match by killing your friends’ accounts.
Mix It Up
Win a match in every Versus game type (social or competitive)
Bronze
The description is a little bit misleading. You don’t need to win 8 modes because some types are just variations of others. Look at the list below to know what types you need to complete.

  • Team Deathmatch OR One Shot One Kill
  • King of the Hill OR Blitz
  • Warzone
  • Assassination
  • 2v2 Gnasher Execution OR Execution

You can not unlock this trophy in private games. Every type, except 2v2 Gnasher Execution, needs 8 players to start a game. You can watch where you have a win under Main Menu -> War Journal -> Statistics. Then press :r1: / :rb: to switch between modes. But be aware that private games are listed there too. The “Annex” statistic means it is Blitz mode, and One Shot One Kill is included in the Team Death Match statistic and not listed separately.

Glitch Warning: The trophy is known to be a little glitchy for some players. If it doesn’t pop, back up your save file to PS+, then delete the save and start the game. This time, do not link your Microsoft Account and win a game in each mode again.

Around the World
Win a match in every Versus map (social or competitive)
Bronze
There is a total of 20 maps in the game. Below you will find a list of all maps.

  1. War Machine
  2. Old Bones
  3. Clocktower
  4. Garden (Not available in Blitz mode)
  5. Sanctuary
  6. Escalation (Not available in Execution mode)
  7. Tyro Station (Not available in Blitz mode)
  8. Rooftops (Not available in Execution mode)
  9. Bullet Marsh (Not available in Blitz and Execution mode)
  10. Process
  11. Fuel Depot
  12. Gridlock
  13. Gold Rush (Not available in Blitz mode)
  14. Raven Down
  15. Mansion
  16. Mausoleum
  17. Canals
  18. Subway
  19. Courtyard (Not available in Blitz mode)
  20. Boxes (this is only playable in 2v2 Gnasher Execution)

You can not boost it in private games. The win for a map counts if the enemy team quits the game. It also counts if you join an already-running game and you win it. There is no way to track on which maps you have a win.

I Can See You!
Spot 100 enemies resulting in assisted kills in Versus (social or competitive)
Bronze
For this, you must mark an enemy by pressing :l2: & :l3: and a teammate must get the kill while the enemy is marked. The marker only lasts a few seconds, and if it disappears, you need to mark the enemy again.

You know it is done correctly if you see an “Assist + xx points” next to the kill feed.

You can not unlock this trophy in private games. You can boost this trophy using a second controller to play in splitscreen and a friend who also uses a second controller. Try to find yourself in 2v2 Gnasher Execution, then just complete the match by killing your friends’ accounts. You can view how many spotted kills you have by going into the Main Menu. From here, select -> War Journal -> Statistics.

Can’t Touch Me
Win 10 Versus matches without losing a round (social or competitive)
Bronze
This trophy can be done in any game mode. An easy way is the King of the Hill mode, which only lasts one round. The wins do not have to be consecutive. Alternatively, you can boost this trophy using a second controller to play in splitscreen and a friend who also uses a second controller. Try to find yourself in 2v2 Gnasher Execution, then just complete the match by killing your friends’ accounts. You can not boost it in private games.
Seriously…
Kill 10,000 people in Versus matches
Silver
This trophy is where you will spend the most time. You need to get 10,000 kills in public games (Social or Competitive list), private games do not count. Kills from the Social and Competitive list count together. You can boost this trophy using a second controller to play in splitscreen and a friend who also uses a second controller. From here, select -> War Journal -> Statistics. While doing this, you will reach level 100 at around 3500 kills. Level 100 is needed for :bronze: Re-up. The trophy only unlocks after the match where you complete 10,000 kills.
THIS! IS! ANNEX!
Complete 100 matches in ring-based game types online and capture 3 objectives in each match
Silver
For this, you need to play King of the Hill, Blitz, or Annex (Annex is only available in private games). Inside these modes, you can capture rings. Make sure you have captured three rings by yourself, it does not count if your teammates capture them. You know you captured a ring correctly when you see a Ringsymbol and a +300 on the bottom next to your ID on the bottom left side of the screen.

To earn this trophy, make sure you capture at least three rings in a game. You just need to complete the game after doing this, winning is not needed. Repeat this 100 times.

A fast way to get this trophy is by going into a private match (invite a friend from the main menu before going into a private match) and creating a match with these settings:

  • Matchtype: Blitz
  • Rounds to win: 3
  • Map: Raven Down (press :tr: / :y: while  in settings screen and remove all maps from the left side. Then select Raven Down from the right side and save the map rotation)

Other settings do not matter. Then start the game and capture a ring (1/3), and stand still in it. Your friend then needs to enter the ring to break it, then he needs to leave immediately, and you will automatically capture it again (2/3). Repeat this one more time, and you will have three captures (3/3). Then your friend can leave the game, and you will win. When you are back in the pregame lobby, your friend can join again. Start the game again and repeat the process 99 times to unlock this trophy. You will unlock :bronze: Nub Pwn3r along the way after doing it 20x.

Nub Pwn3r
Win 20 rounds in ring-based game types online by shutting out the opposing team
Bronze
See :silver: THIS! IS! ANNEX!.
CQC
Win 25 matches in Boxes (social or competitive)
Bronze
Boxes is a map that is only available in 2v2 Gnasher Execution. 2v2 Gnasher Execution is a mode that consists of 7 rounds and you have to kill the enemy team to win a round. You have to win this mode 25x to unlock this trophy. You can boost this trophy using a second controller to play in splitscreen and a friend who also uses a second controller. Try to find yourself in 2v2 Gnasher Execution, then just complete the match by killing your friends’ accounts.

You can not boost it in private games.

Level 5
Reach level 5
Bronze
You need 6999 XP to reach Level 5. XP count from public and private games.
Level 10
Reach level 10
Bronze
You need 27,124 XP to reach Level 10. XP count from public and private games.
Level 25
Reach level 25
Bronze
You need 181,624 XP to reach Level 25. XP count from public and private games.
Re-up
Reach level 100 and re-up
Bronze
You need 3,851,749 XP to reach Level 100. After this, go into the main menu, select -> War Journal -> Statistics. You will notice a Re-Up option on the bottom left screen. Press :square: and accept the Re-Up to earn this trophy.

Re-Up means every unlocked character gets locked again. Nothing else will be reset. It is not recommended to boost XP in private games, as you get significantly lower XP, and kills for :silver: Seriously… do not count from private games.

Handyman
Kill an enemy with every weapon in Versus (social or competitive, excludes executions)
Bronze
To earn this trophy, you need a kill with the following weapons:

  1. Lancer Assault Rifle (Starting Weapon)
  2. Gnasher Shotgun (Starting Weapon)
  3. Snub Pistol (Starting Weapon)
  4. Longshot – Can be found on the following maps: War Machine, Escalation, Rooftops, Process, Bullet Marsh, Subway, Mansion, Gridlock
  5. Boomshot – Can be found on the following maps: Old Bones, Sanctuary, Garden, Mansion
  6. Torque Bow – Can be found on the following maps: Sanctuary, Canals, Tyro Station
  7. Boltok Pistol – Can be found on the following maps: Sanctuary, Clocktower, Escalation, Rooftops, Mausoleum, Mansion,
  8. Hammerburst – Can be found on the following maps: Clocktower, Gold Rush
  9. Frag Grenade – Can be found on the following maps: Sanctuary, War Machine, Rooftops, Bullet Marsh, Canals, Mausoleum, Raven Down, Fuel Depot
  10. Hammer of Dawn – Can be found on the following maps: Rooftops, Courtyard

Besides the starting weapons, you need to find the other weapons on any of the multiplayer maps. It does not matter if you play the Social or Competitive playlist. You can not boost it in private games. It’s important that you make the kill, only downing an enemy does not count. Also, it does not count if a teammate downs an enemy, and you kill the downed enemy. It only counts if you down the enemy yourself and then kill him with the needed weapon. You don’t need to down an enemy with the same weapon you want to kill him.

When you load into a map, you will see the whole map layout with some gray X on it. The gray X mark the weapon locations on the map.

Important: For the Lancer Assault Rifle, it only counts if you get a kill symbol that looks like this.

A headshot does not count towards the trophy. Also, when you down an enemy and kill him with the lancer you might also get another symbol that looks like a pistol aimed at a head. This also does not count.

G-reader
Read one full comic
Bronze
To unlock this trophy, you need to collect COG Tags. See » Gears of War Reloaded All COG Tag Locations.

After collecting them, go to the main menu and select War Journal -> Cog Tags. You will see 5 different comics. Select one, and read the comic. You can skip to the last page by pressing :r2: to unlock the trophy. It does not matter which comic you choose.

Brothers To The End
Defeat General RAAM in co-op on Insane without either player being DBNO
Bronze
To unlock this trophy, you need to defeat the final boss of the game in co-op mode (online or local splitscreen) while playing on Insane difficulty without a player going down. It does not matter if you go down earlier in this Act. You are just not allowed to go down once you enter the final boss fight. When one player goes down, you can reload the checkpoint. If both players go down at the same time, then you need to restart the chapter by going into the main menu, then -> Campaign -> Split-Screen or Host Co-Op Game -> Load Previous Chapter -> Act V: Desperation -> Pale Horse. This spawns you in the wagon before the final boss.

Tip: It is enough to hide behind the very first barricade of this area. Also, one player should have the Longshot sniper, while the other player should have the Torque Bow. Both weapons are in the last wagon before the final boss. As a secondary weapon, use the Lancer Assault Rifle, and last but not least, each player should keep 4 grenades. It is highly recommended that you do a perfect reload as much as possible, as this boosts your damage against the boss. If your ammo for the Bow or the Sniper ran out, change to your secondary weapon. If General RAAM is in the middle of the platform in front of you, throw grenades at him. If you do enough damage and he will die before he reaches you.

Gimme Some Skin
Play one Versus Match with a Custom Weapon Skin
Bronze
While in the pregame lobby, where you can select your character, you have to select either the Lancer Assault Rifle or the Gnasher Shotgun, then select any skin you like and complete a match in the Social or Competitive playlist. It does not matter which weapon you choose. The trophy unlocks after completing one match with a different skin.

You can not do it in private games.

Better Late Than Never
Win 25 matches in Team Deathmatch
Bronze
Self-explanatory. You do not need to win 25 matches in a row. It also counts if you join midgame.

You can not boost it in private games.

Whack-A-Grub
Close all 4 e-holes around the fountain in Fish in a Barrel without any Locust fully emerging
Silver
This takes place in Act I Ashes – Chapter Fish in a Barrel. Shortly after taking out the guy at the turret, you will reach an area with a big fountain. In this area, you have to kill some enemies that emerge from four holes around the area. The holes appear one after another around the fountain. The first three holes appear in a random order, only the fourth hole is always the same.

To get this trophy, you are not allowed to let an enemy fully emerge from a hole. Throw a grenade into each hole and keep an eye out for any enemy who survives the grenade. A pair of grenades is in the middle of the fountain. It is recommended to do this trophy in co-op. This trophy seems to be glitched positively, as the trophy unlocks even after letting one enemy fully emerge.

Prison Breakout
Complete tutorial path on any difficulty
Bronze
Automatic story-related trophy, cannot be missed. Shortly after you control your character for the first time, you will be asked to go straight to combat or to do training. It does not matter what you choose here. The trophy unlocks after you go through the door that two enemies opened up.

    Hi Bro, I can boost solo with 2 Ps5 & 4 controllers?

Everything except these four trophies can be done with 2 PS5 and 4 controller:

      Handyman trophy
Killed an enemy with every weapon in Versus

      Around the World trophy
Won a match on every Versus map

      Mix It Up trophy
Won a match in every Versus game type

      Better Late Than Never trophy

Play the game on insane again seemed tempting but no way I go through 50 hours of mindless boosting nor 100+ hours of queued MP to get 10k kills. Not when MGS 3 Delta, Lost souls aside, Wuchang, Shinobi are available.

Super unfortunate when they set some of these ridiculous trophies, it’s not about the gamer having fun or a challenge, but so they can claim it takes 100+ hours

    • Royce says

      September 1, 2025 at 11:22 am

So far it will autopop if you go from xbox to ps5 but i don’t think it works in the reverse direction unless someone else can confirm otherwise. Also if you play on PC through xbox app it counts as the xbox version basically and you can get your achievements there too. As far as the steam version goes i have no idea if that one has auto pop in any direction. If you want to get the achievements on every platform but only do it once then the smart move would probably be to just play it on Xbox or xbox pc app first then it should auto pop on ps5 and maybe steam too

Etc. just wanted to put this out there.

Well i already sold the game. Campaign was good and played 5hours of MP and it’s honestly not worth investing my time into. The game is as bare bones as it gets, matchmaking is only here to fill lobbies so every lobby is getting trashed by og players. If it’s your first time playing you can expect to be fisted for tens of hours before being okay, and by that time, the only players left will be the same niche that played Gears for 2 decades.

Hi. Has this happened to anyone? When I play multiplayer with a friend, it doesn’t count anything towards the trophies — the percentage for the trophies doesn’t increase. This happens when I join or get invited to my friend’s session. But when I invite him, it does count for me, though it still doesn’t count for him.

Hint, best way to boost Seriously.
2 Real Player with together 4 Ps5 and 8 Controller, search KotH. Unlimited Respawns and dont capture the rings, ca. 800 kills per hour. 1 real Player with 4Ps5 got 1kill more per respawn, think over 1000 kills per hour.

There’s a faster way to boost kills for Seriously but it requires 2 consoles and 4 controllers. This can be 2 PS5s or 2 Xbox Series X/S consoles. If you have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate you can also play on a PC using cloud gaming, but you can only have 1 account signed in on PC compared to 2 on Xbox and PS5. If you play One Shot One Kill (which is 4v4), you can get around 340 kills per hour. You would need to have a friend or boosting partner who can fulfil the requirement for having 2 consoles and 4 controllers, or a combination of consoles and PCs with Game Pass Ultimate. You would also need to be in the same geographical region as your friend/boosting partner to make it easier to get matched up, while also having crossplay turned on.

Alternatively, you could try to boost it entirely on your own, but you would need 4 consoles with 2 controllers each, multiple TVs/monitors, as well as having enough physical or digital copies of Reloaded. Doing it on your own allows you to get around 380 kills per hour. I personally don’t recommend the 2v2 Gnasher method for boosting kills as it’s mind-numbingly boring.
