Indiana Jones and the Great Circle A Tale of Wine Making Walkthrough

September 10, 2025 by Jack McBastard Leave a Comment

A Tale of Wine Making is a Mystery side quest in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants DLC. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Tale of Wine Making side mission.

  • Starting Location: Cloaca Maxima
  • Requirement: Find any of A Tale of Wine Making mystery notes in the locked basement that is accessible only from the Cloaca Maxima
  • Reward: 100 AP
  • Quest Description: A curious mural with several missing pieces. Maybe try to find all the pieces and put them in the right spot?

In the main corridor of the Cloaca Maxima sewer, head east from the dock closest to Father Ricci’s basement. Ignoring the first split which is blocked by a grate, continue east until it splits again, and then go down the tunnel that leads to the southeast. It leads to a dock that is lit up. Leaning against some crates are a few sledgehammers, just what you’ll need to bust down the nearby breakable wall at the map location below.

Pick up any of the tiles in this area, or the mystery note to activate this quest. On the west wall, you’ll see a mural with six slots to put tiles, four of which are empty. Right next to it will be a note explaining the artwork and the puzzle it hides. It says that you have to put the tiles in the right order, but importantly, the vine branches are significant when determining what the right order is.

Mystery Note #5: Allesandro’s Letter (15 AP)

Search the room for the remaining four tiles. Right next to your entrance point there are some shelves with a painted tile on them labeled as “Grow”.

Next to the east wall, next to a stack of pallets is the tile “Ferment”

.

There’s another on a pile of bricks next to the mural, called “Harvest”.

Along the north wall, there’s a box on the floor with the tile “Process” in it.

Now that you have all the tiles, have a close look at the mural, namely at the roots. You see there are three vines that split into two branches each. Each branch crosses over each other, and curls around a different slot, so the position of the slot isn’t as important as what root it grows out of. Slot the tiles in order of the roots from left to right.A1 – Plant
A2 – Grow
B3 – Harvest
B4 – Process
C5 – Ferment
C5 – Drink

This will cause a slot to open up, revealing an artifact. Mystery solved!

Mithraic Artifact #3: Perses Artifact (20 AP)
