Missing: Steve is a Lost and Found Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Missing: Steve Lost and Found mission.
Starting Location: Ocean Avenue
Counts Towards Quest Completion in Region: Ocean Avenue
Requirement: Advance the story in Ocean Avenue area, then the missing person letters get marked on the map by a red icon. Complete some of those missions and come back for new ones to spawn.
Reward: Krakatoa weapon, 2500 XP
Mission Info: Steve’s been reported missing! He was working with screenwriter and friend, Sergio, on their sitcom sensation before the outbreak, but failed to evacuate with the rest of the cast at Monarch Studios. Is there any chance he’s still there?
Objectives:

- Search for Steve in the sitcom set
- Scour the set for signs of Steve
- Is Steve still working through his list? Check the kitchen set
- Cliff-hanger! Catch the next episode at Jimmy’s trailer / Did Steve make it to Jimmy’s trailer?
- Is all lost at the end of Act 2? Follow Steve to Beverly Hills
- Look for Steve at his apartment
- You found Steve… but you have some notes
- Find Steve the perfect villain / lure him back to Steve alive
- Find Steve a brave hero / lure him back to Steve alive
- Find Steve a smoking hot hunk / lure him back to Steve alive

Starting Location: Missing: Steve
Steve’s Missing Person quest starts in Ocean Avenue. Pick up the letters from the wall near the fast travel map. These get marked by a red icon after advancing the story far enough. After doing the first few quests return here again to get new quests, one of them will be Steve.
Where in Hell-A is Steve?
Fast travel to Monarch Studios. Make sure you are tracking the quest to see red waypoint markers.
Search for Steve in the sitcom set / Scour the set for signs of Steve
In Monarch Studios, enter Studio 3 (Sitcom Set). On the bed is a journal, pick it up.
Is Steve still working through his list? Check the kitchen set
Still in the same location as before, walk over to the kitchen. You must interact with 3 items here.
#1 – Pick up Soap on Kitchen Counter
#2 – Interact with box on the floor in front of the kitchen sink
#3 – Interact with phone on the stairs behind the kitchen (slightly right of the previous box)
After interacting with all 3 items the search progress updates to 100% and you get the next objective.
Cliff-hanger! Catch the next episode at Jimmy’s trailer / Did Steve make it to Jimmy’s trailer?
Follow the red waypoint to the alley south of Studio 7. There is a trailer. Beware, there are explosive sacks near the door that can instant-kill you. Shoot them with a firearm from a safe distance so they won’t blow up when you get close. Enter the trailer, open the door on the right, loot the Journal on the floor.
Is all lost at the end of Act 2? Follow Steve to Beverly Hills / Look for Steve at his apartment
Now you must fast travel to Beverly Hills to continue the quest. Once there, the red objective marker will update.
You found Steve… but you have some notes
Follow the quest marker to find Steve on a balcony. Talk to him. He wants you to bring him 3 uniquely named zombies ALIVE.
IMPORTANT: DON’T KILL THE NEXT 3 UNIQUE ZOMBIES! YOU HAVE TO LURE THEM BACK TO STEVE ALIVE. AFTER BRINGING THEM THEM TO STEVE WAIT FOR THE OBJECTIVE TO UPDATE, ONLY THEN YOU ARE ALLOWED TO KILL THEM.
Find Steve the perfect villain / lure him back to Steve alive
The “Villain” is a Butcher, just up the stairs to the left of Steven, behind a villa gate. Lure him back alive, then after the objective updates kill him in front of Steve.
Find Steve a brave hero / lure him back to Steve alive
The brave hero is a fireman zombie on the road above Steve’s house. He’s a pretty quick runner, just have him follow you back to Steve, then defeat him after the objective updates.
Find Steve a smoking hot hunk / lure him back to Steve alive
Our last zombie is Hunk, a Fire Crusher. From Steve’s house go downstairs and follow the path straight ahead (directly opposite of Steve’s house). Hunk is only a couple of steps away, very close to the house. Again, lure him back alive, then kill him.
That’s a wrap! Talk to Steve
Simply talk to Steve, then the quest finishes.
