Final Fantasy 16 (XVI) A Tail to Tell Walkthrough

A Tail to Tell is a Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Tail to Tell side mission.

• Starting Location: The Hideaway
• Quest Giver: Harpocrates
• Requirement: Unlocked during the ‘Back to their Origin‘ Main Quest after speaking with Jill and reading the ‘Making Amends’ letter at the Reading Table in Clive’s Chambers. Must also have completed Side Quest: An Inconvenient Truth.
• Reward: 9600 XP, 30 Renown, Curiosity: Stolas Quill, Accessory: Bahamut’s Mercy
• Quest Info: Clive receives a letter from Harpocrates that suggests the historian and Prince Dion have a closer relationship than he knew. He journeys to the shelves in search of answers.

Objectives:

• Speak with Harpocrates
• Search for a wild wyvern tail near Rikmal’s Roost
• Deliver the wild wyvern tail to Harpocrates
• Speak with Dion

Speak with Harpocrates

After reading the ‘Making Amends’ letter at the Reading Table in Clive’s Chambers, go and speak to him in the Shelves.

Search for a wild wyvern tail near Rikmal’s Roost

Fast travel to Eistla on Ash and head west to Rikmal’s Roost in the Angry Gap. The wyvern tail is a pink flower, which you might be able to pick up without alerting the nearby enemies. If you do, kill them first so you can interact with the flower.

Deliver the wild wyvern tail to Harpocrates

Return to Harpocrates in the Shelves.

Speak with Dion

Dion is outside by the Boarding Deck.
