Doting Dad is an optional story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5).
Starting Location: Doting Dad

- Requirement: Complete “Reuniting the Family“

Answer Your Phone!
At some point after you’ve completed “Reuniting the Family”, are in the Los Santos area, and are not involved in any other mission or activity, you will get a phone call from Tracey. If you do not pick up the call, you will not have a chance to complete this mission. Tracey calls in a panic about this weird guy that’s been following her, and she needs Michael’s help. You will then have a choice of whether or not you want to help. Press 
/ 
to say you’ll help.
Go to Tracey
Tracey will tell you that she’s in Vinewood Plaza, and that she wants to drive around the area to see if she can spot the guy. Head to the objective marker to meet her.
Get in Tracey’s Car
Hop in the driver’s seat of Tracey’s car, and follow her directions to the objective marker. She says he’s driving a purple convertible, but there’s no sign of him in front of Hawaiian Snow. Then she says to check by the construction site. Head to the new objective marker, but there’s no sign of him there either. Next stop is at the Cluckin’ Bell by Rockford Plaza, but again there is no sign of him. Finally she says to go by Croq-a-Hoop. Just as you think this will be a bust too, he shows up on your mini-map behind you. Either with your drive-by camera, or getting out of the car, shoot out the car’s wheels to make it nearly impossible to get away.
Deal With the Stalker
Once he’s on foot, you can either kill him or let him go. Tracey will get mad at Michael if he murders the stalker, but there won’t be any consequences to the mission. Whatever you decide, head back to Tracey’s car when you’re done.
Take Tracey Home
Pull up in your driveway and Tracey will get out of the car to finish the mission.
