Introduction

Welcome to the LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Trophy Guide! LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a narrative-led action-adventure. Step into Bruce Wayne’s journey to become Batman, forging bonds with trusted allies while facing Gotham City’s most dangerous and iconic DC Super-Villains. This is a typical LEGO game with 674 collectibles, but luckily they all get marked by activating the Tower in each of the 9 Districts. The only items that aren’t automatically marked are the Bat-Symbols but you only need any 25 of 50. Nothing is missable.

Step 1: Complete the Story [10+ Hours]

Start the game on any difficulty and just enjoy the story. Do not worry about anything missable, you can complete everything after the story. If you get stuck at a puzzle section, you can activate the “Skip Event” option from the Accessibility Settings.

Step 2: Complete each District (Collectibles) [10+ Hours]

After the story, you can free-roam through the city. There are 674 collectibles, but it is not as bad as it sounds. You can activate the Tower in each of the 9 districts. This marks every single collectible except the Bat-Symbols. For collectibles and side activities, refer to trophy A Watchful Collector.

Step 3: Clean up

You should already have everything after the second step. But if you still need anything, you can do it now.

There are a total of 673 collectibles divided into the following types:

  • Suits (Total: 100) – Suits are a collection of outfits worn by playable characters, with each suit referencing an outfit worn in Batman media. Suits are unlocked as rewards from missions, exploration, and activities. Some are bought from Bat-Mite’s Store.
  • Vehicles (Total: 30) – Traverse Gotham with a variety of vehicles unique to each playable character. Vehicles are unlocked by completing missions and activities, as well as buying some of them in the Batcave’s garage.
  • Wayne Tech Cache (Total: 200) – WayneTech Caches are containers that store WayneTech Chips, the currency needed to get character upgrades. These caches are littered across Gotham, with some requiring specific characters to unlock.
  • Batcave Trophy (Total: 170) – Batcave Trophies are a type of Batcave Prop that you can obtain from missions and open-world exploration. These trophies are put on display in the Batcave as memorabilia.
  • Red Brick (Total: 23) – Also called Modifier Bricks, these are used to add color variants to suits and vehicles. Red Bricks are found in missions, sometimes after completing a puzzle or a challenge, but some appear by chance in Bat-Mite’s Store.
  • Skill Brick (Total: 30) – These golden bricks are rewarded for completing missions and are used to unlock skills and upgrades for each playable character.
  • Puzzle Rooms (Total: 121) – Puzzle Rooms refer to the various Riddler and Cluemaster puzzles scattered across Gotham. Solving these puzzles grants rewards, including the Lego Batman: The Videogame and Batman Serial suits after all puzzles are completed.

While this is a lot, you can make everything (including side activities) visible on the map by activating the tower in each District. Towers are marked on the map, and you can barely miss them.

You can check how many collectibles and side activities you have by opening the map and hovering over the District you want to check. You will see a list of what you have on the left side. For :gold: “Hopefully, because he’s busy” you need to complete everything that is listed there.

You can also check how many you have in total by pressing :opt: .

“Wouldn’t wanna make things too easy.”
Get 5 Gold Medals in AR Trials
Bronze
There are a total of 30 AR Trials scattered throughout the map. They are split into:

  • Driving Trial
  • Traversal Trial
  • Combat Trial

Most trials are more than generous with the Gold medal requirement. Finish any 5 trials with a gold medal, and you will unlock the trophy.

Tip: Go to any combat trial and use Jim Gordon with the Rebound Launcher and the first upgrade for it (bolts will split when you shoot). Spam shoot during the trials, and you will get gold very easily.

Rebuilding Gotham
Cash in a Challenge in the Batcave
Bronze
Once you reach the Batcave, you can find a computer where you can see all the challenges. Just turn in any challenge to unlock the trophy.

Collecting Evidence
Roll the camera over 20 degrees in Photo Mode
Bronze
You can do this at any point in the game. Press :opt: select Photo Mode. Here, press and hold :left: or :right: to unlock the trophy.
Computer Privileges
Change the screensaver on the Batcomputer
Bronze
You can do this as soon as you reach the Batcomputer in the Batcave. Do not interact with the computer, instead press  to open up a selection of screensavers. Select any screensaver and the trophy unlocks immediately.

“Life’s been good to me.”
Collect 1,000,000 Studs
Bronze
This trophy is cumulative. You can spend it on upgrades and do not need to hold it until you collect 1 million studs. This trophy will unlock way before you finish the story.
Caped Defender
Perform 100 Successful Counters
Bronze
During a fight, whenever you see :triangle: pop up above an enemy, you will do a successful counter. This trophy should come naturally during your playthrough.
“Never do it for free.”
Collect 30,000 Studs within a single stud combo
Bronze
On the upper right side of the screen, next to your Studs, you see a meter bar. Whenever you collect studs, this meter bar rises. As soon as you see a 2x, the counter for this trophy starts. When you lose the multiplier, you have to start from 0 again. An easy way to get this done is to buy the following two skills.

  • Hyper Combo – Increase the maximum stud combo multiplier.
  • Stud Magnet – Collect studs from further away.

They are the first two skills in the Exploration skill tree. Then, in Chapter 1, when you infiltrate a club to find Falcone, you will soon be introduced to security cameras. Every area and hallway has many destructible stuff to collect a lot of studs. Can be combined with :bronze: “I’m good with calculation.“.

“I’m good with calculation.”
Maintain Max Stud Combo for 60 Seconds
Bronze
On the upper right side of the screen, next to your Studs, you see a meter bar. Whenever you collect studs, this meter bar rises. The 60-second timer starts as soon as you see a 2x. From that point on, you must keep collecting studs to not lose the multiplier. A good way to get this is during Chapter 1 when you infiltrate a club to find Falcone. Here you will soon be introduced to security cameras. Every area and hallway has many destructible stuff to collect enough studs to keep the multiplier for 60 seconds. It does not matter if you get a 2x, 3x, etc. multiplier when collecting the studs. You just can not drop below the 1x multiplier.

There also seems to be a positive bug, that when you enter a cutscene with a multiplier active, you will get the trophy during the cutscene, as you do not lose the multiplier during a cutscene.

The Strength to Fight
Reach Combat Combo of 99 hits
Bronze
You need to reach this combo in one encounter, and you are not allowed to get hit during the combo. An easy way to get this is during the prologue near the end. When you learn the Stun technique and the Flurry Attack, a fight against multiple ninjas will start. Here, use your learned stun technique by throwing three shuriken at an enemy, then attack it with :square: . Doing this activates the Flurry Attack and gives you basically free 10 hits per enemy.

Another way is also in the prologue. During the Ra’s al Ghul boss fight, in the first phase, you fight 1 vs. 1 against him. Stay away from Ra’s and spam the shuriken with :r1: . Make sure to dodge his ranged attacks with :o: .

“I am the shadows.”
Perform 100 Stealth Takedowns
Bronze
Sneak behind an enemy and use :r1: to take them down silently. Do this 100 times, and the trophy will unlock.
“This is my city.”
Place a Pin on the Map
Bronze
When you open the map, just move the cursor to any place you want and press :x: to place a pin. The trophy unlocks immediately.
“You’re becoming quite a celebrity.”
Discover 100 open world events
Bronze
Open-world events are things that get marked on the map. Collectibles, side missions, Wayne Tech chests, challenges, and more count towards this trophy. As soon as you walk past any of this stuff, it gets discovered and marked on your map automatically. There are way more than 100 of these events, and you unlock the trophy almost automatically.

Prevent each type of Crime in Gotham once
Bronze
There are 10 types of crimes that happen around Gotham City regularly. A police officer on the radio will talk about a crime in progress. The marker for these will be a red warning triangle. One will appear nearby every other time as you travel around.

  1. Mugging: Stop a criminal or a group of criminals from threatening a single citizen.
  2. Snatch and Run: Chase a criminal who has stolen something from a citizen.
  3. Break-In: Stop a group of criminals as they try to break into a building or shop.

  7. Joyriders: Chase a civilian vehicle and take it down with the Batmobile’s grappling gun.
  8. Getaway Vehicle: Bring down an armored car’s defenses with missiles before you grapple it. Afterwards, enemies will come out of the car, and you will have to fight them.
  9. GCPD Backup: Save a bunch of cops who have been cornered by a gang.
  10. Ambush: There are two different types of Ambush required for this trophy; One is a group of gang members with RPGs, and the other is an ambush where a single gang member is acting like a civilian being attacked while the others are hiding.

When you are near a crime, you will also get an objective marked in red on the upper left side of the screen. It also shows you what type of crime it is.

For :bronze: “Gotham can feel a little safer.” you have to prevent 30 crimes in total. So this trophy should unlock along the way.

“Is that like parachuting?”
Glide in 10 different wind tunnels
Bronze
You can glide through the air with your glider by pressing :x: from a high point. You just have to glide a few meters inside the tunnel, and you can leave it. There are more than 10 wind tunnels across the city. They look like a white stream.

For the combat combo 99 hits, I used Jim Gordon with the Rebound Launcher with the first upgrade in an AR combat challenge. Very easy, takes less then a minute
