Introduction
Welcome to the Need for Speed Payback Trophy Guide! NFS Payback is an Open-World Street Racing Game. You have 5 racing disciplines, each one requiring different cars (Racer, Drifter, Runner, Offroad, Drag). The performance upgrades in this game are done through randomized cards that you earn for each win or by buying them at Tune-Up shops. The main task for the platinum trophy is finding all collectibles and reaching REP Level 50. The collectibles get marked on the map when you go near them. Just drive along every road and you’ll unlock their locations on the map. Reaching REP Level 50 is the most time consuming task. After all else is done you won’t be anywhere close to Level 50 so be prepared for a long grind.
Step 1: Play through the Story (Any Difficulty) & Upgrade a Derelict Car to Level 399
The first step is simple: play through the story. To reduce the grind later, you should work on upgrading a Derelict Car from the beginning. I recommend the Nissan Fairlady 240ZG in the Race Class. It is available after beating the first league boss “Udo Roth” (offroad quest line). Derelict Cars require you to find 5 parts in the open world. Then you can rebuild those old cars in the garage and upgrade them by winning races, or by buying upgrades from the tune-up shop. There are 5 Derelict Cars in total. For each one you can freely choose the car category (race, drag, offroad, drift, runner). I recommend going with the race category as it has the most events available. In contrast, there aren’t many drag races in the game so you’d have huge gaps between events if you turned your Derelict into a Drag Car. Always stick to your Derelict Car and upgrade it piece by piece. Recommendation: Nissan Fairlady 240ZG (Category: Racing).
You can also work on collectibles along the way, all of them are accessible from the beginning. Pick up whatever you come across.
*Easy Derelict Level 399 Exploit (Working with Patch 1.03, November 12th 2017)*
There is a beneficial glitch to get the trophy “Another Man’s Treasure” without ever having to upgrade a derelict car, confirmed to be working with patch 1.03: Simply get any car in the game to level 399. The easiest option is to buy the Koenigsegg Regera and equip one upgrade in each slot at a tune-up shop, then it will instantly be level 399. Head to any race for which you have a derelict car. I went to the drag race “Riot Club” (not sure if it’s specific to this one drag race, but I assume it works with any other race as well). Make sure you are driving your level 399 Koenigsegg Regera before getting to the race start. Then press to select your derelict car for the race and the trophy will instantly pop when the race starts. My derelict car was only level 200 but for some reason the game recognized it as being level 399 because my main car from before the race was 399. The level briefly transfers over and causes the trophy to unlock way before it should. This way you could skip the whole Derelict upgrade process entirely and save yourself a lot of time.
Step 2: Collectibles & Roaming Racers
There are 6 types of collectibles in the game: Speed Traps, Speed Runs, Drift Zones, Jumps, Gambler’s Chips, Billboards. Collect all of them after- or during the story. After the story is easier because in order to get 3 stars in the side events you need an upgraded car. Be sure to get 3 Stars in the Speed Traps, Speed Runs, Drift Zones & Jumps for the trophy “Active Lifestyle”. These are very easy to find, they get marked on the map automatically when you drive near them. Just drive along every road in the game to reveal their locations on the map.
There are also 20 roaming racers in the game. Just like collectibles they get marked when you go near them. There are 4 factions, each has 4 roaming racers and a boss. You must defeat each roaming racer 3 times to lure out the boss. After the story they are easy to beat with a level 399 car. Keep in mind for trophy “Supercars for Breakfast” you need to beat all roaming racers in the 1% Club with the Nissan GT-R Premium (if you’ve defeated them with another car you can still do this, it’s not missable). The 1% Club boss drives a level 390 car so it’s recommended that you upgrade the Nissan GT-R Premium to level 360-399 to stand a chance.
- Need for Speed Payback – All Roaming Racer Locations
- Need for Speed Payback – All Collectible Locations & Activities (Gambler’s Chips, Billboards, Jumps, Speed Traps, Speed Runs, Drift Zones)
Step 3: Miscellaneous Trophies
Mop up any trophies you are still missing at this point. Everything can be done after the story. They are all very quick to do. Money can be farmed infinitely by repeating events (for example if you still need some of the cars or manufacturer upgrades).
Step 4: Online Trophies
Complete all 5 events in a single playlist & 10 events in ranked speedlists. You don’t have to win them, just play them from start to end. You can access Multiplayer by pressing the Options-Button.
Step 5: REP Level 50
Be prepared for a long grind. After all else is done you will likely be REP Level 25 or so. Getting to REP Level 50 is the most time consuming task for platinum. Check the trophy “Top Dog” for the best farming strategies. After this the platinum will be yours.
REP & Money Farming:
Method #1 (Fastest REP): Replay the Drift Trial “Drifting the Block”. Unlocks early in the game when you get to do drift trials for the first time. It gives 118,124 REP each time + 17,000 Credits (if you sell the resulting card). The event only takes 2 minutes with loading times and transition screens. It immediately puts you back at the start of the event.
Per Minute = 60,000 REP / 8500 Credits
Per Hour = 3,600,000 REP / 510,000 Credits
Method #2 (Fastest Money): Replay the Circuit Race “Hyperspace Circuit”. Unlocks during the final act, at the end of the game. It gives 144,000 REP + 31,000 Credits (if you sell the resulting card). The event only takes 3 minutes with loading times and transition screens (with a fully upgraded car). It immediately puts you back at the start of the event.
Per Minute = 48,000 REP / 10,333 Credits
Per Hour = 2,880,000 REP / 619,980 Credits

REP is earned for pretty much anything that you do: drifting, driving on the wrong side of the road, a near miss with another vehicle, jumps, driving in slipstream of opponents, completing events. The two best ways to farm REP are:
It’s going to be a very very long and tedious grind. It’s the most time consuming trophy in the game and after doing all other trophies you’ll probably be just Rep Level 25 or so. |

Another Man’s Treasure Get a Derelict car to 399 Performance Level |
||
There are 5 Derelict Cars in Need for Speed Payback. First, you need to beat a league boss to unlock a clue for the Derelict Chassis. This clue can be seen by pressing Touchpad > press R1 to scroll to the tab “Derelicts”. It will show you a drawing of a map with the outlines of streets. You can compare this with the streets on the in-game map to find the location. Each Derelict Car consists of 5 parts. After finding the first part you receive clues for the remaining 4 parts. Once all 5 parts have been found you can build the car in any garage and select a category for it (race, offroad, drag, runner, drift).
To upgrade the car you must win randomized upgrade cards from races. You can also buy them at tune-up shops or trade in old cards to “roll” new ones. Every 3 cards you trade in can be used to make one new upgrade of your choice (this is done at tune-up shops in the “Trade-In” section). It’s recommended you go with a race build. Those have the most events in the game. The Nissan Fairlady 240ZG works good and is available after the first offroad quest line. I tried to upgrade a drag build and got stuck at performance level 200 because the next event was level 320 and impossible to beat, and old events / shops no longer sold or rolled higher-level cards. Therefore, a drag build is not recommended. Recommended Build: Race Category – Nissan Fairlady 240ZG. By default, all Derelict Cars start at or around Level 100 which is the lowest in the game. Level 399 is the highest possible level so it’s going to be a long path. It’s advisable to work on this from the beginning to minimize farming time later. Yes, getting upgrades takes longer than buying a new car from a dealership, but you’ll have to do it anyway to get this trophy. Best to combine it with story-related races to reduce the grind later. For all their locations & unlock requirements, see: Need for Speed Payback – All Derelict Car Part Locations, or check the videos below. Ford Mustang 1965 Available after beating the league boss “La Catrina” (race quest line). Nissan Fairlady 240ZG 1971 Available after beating the league boss “Udo Roth” (offroad quest line). Volkswagen Beetle 1963 Available after beating the Shift-Lock league boss “The Underground Soldier” (Drift quest line). Chevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup 1965 Available after beating the Riot Club league boss “Big Sister” (Drag quest line). Chevrolet Bel Air 1955 Available after beating the first Runner quest line. *Easy Exploit Tactic (Working with Patch 1.03, November 12th 2017)* There is a beneficial “glitch” to get this trophy without ever having to upgrade a derelict car, confirmed to be working with patch 1.03: Get any car in the game to level 399. Make sure you are driving your level 399 Koenigsegg Regera before getting to the race start. Then press to select your derelict car for the race and the trophy will instantly pop. My derelict car was only level 200 but for some reason the game recognized it as being level 399 because my main car that I was driving before the race was 399. The level briefly transfers over and causes the trophy to unlock way before it should. Feel free to report in the comment section below if this worked for you and what race type you chose. |

The Artist Unlock all Visual Customization points |
||
You can see all available Visual Customizations in the Garage. Select a Car > click “Visual Customization”.
They let you customize the physical appearance of your car (change the hood, front bumper etc). What you’ll notice is that most of these are locked. When you scroll over a part to upgrade, it will show you the unlock requirements. Many of these require a fair bit of story progress (e.g. driving at a certain speed or completing speed traps with 2-star ratings requires you to get a very fast car first). Finding collectibles is also required for some visual customizations. Do note that different cars have different Customization Points. Look at your cars in the garage’s Visual Customization Menu to see the unlock tasks. Then complete those tasks to get the customizations. |

There are 5 brands in the game that provide tuning parts for your cars. You get one bonus when you have 3 parts of them equipped and a second bonus when you have 6 parts equipped.
= Americana (Nitrous + Air) You can buy their parts at tune-up shops, win them from races, or trade in tuning parts to “roll” new ones (this is done in the “Trade-In” section of tune-up shops). The best strategy is to collect as many upgrades as you can from winning races. Then buy the missing brand parts from tune-up shops. The inventory of shops refreshes every few minutes. However, it has the same inventory for all of the tune-up shops, it’s not different from shop to shop. There are 6 parts per manufacturer: Head, Block, ECU, Turbo, Exhaust, Gearbox. Each brand has one trophy for equipping all 6 parts of that brand. It’s wise to combine it with upgrading a Derelict Car to Level 399 for trophy “Another Man’s Treasure”. While upgrading a Derelict Car from Level 100 to 399 you will collect lots of different parts with that car. Do note that parts you earn are only usable with the car you earned them with. When you send car parts to the garage they cannot be used with other cars. Just try to stick to one brand per car. In the Trade-Ins section of tune-up shops you can actually roll parts of a specific manufacturer. One very easy way to get all 5 trophies is to save up trade-in parts until after the story. You get lots of these from Base Shipments. One Base Shipment is awarded every time you gain a REP level, but it requires you to be connected to the online services. When you have 80 or so trade-in parts, go make a manual backup of your save game (PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management). Now roll the manufacturer upgrades at a tune-up shop and buy missing ones. Then restore the save game to get your parts back and repeat the same procedure with the next manufacturer. This way you can get all parts from all brands within 10 minutes, without actually losing any money or parts (can copy back the save game afterwards to get all parts back). Make sure that you equip the parts at the tune-up shop, not in the garage. There are reports of players not earning these trophies when equipping the parts in the garage (equipping them at the tune-up shop unlocks the trophy instantly). |

Comeback is Real Be last during the final lap of a race and still win |
||
The easiest race for this is “Skirt The City” in the south-east corner of the map (unlocks near the end of the story). In this race you’re driving 2 laps around the highway. Each lap is 6 miles long. For the entire first lap, drive behind the opponents and stay in last position (8th in this case). Then in the second lap you must catch up and become first. 6 miles is plenty of room to catch up to the opponents. Put the game on easy difficulty and choose a car that has a lot of top speed. You must finish in 1st position.
Hyperspeed Hit 240 mph using any car |
||
You can do this using the Koenigsegg Regera. You need to buy it for the trophy “1500 bhp… Easy” anyway. It has a top speed of 255 mph (even more with upgrades). Go to any long road, use Nitrous and you’ll easily hit 240mph within a few seconds.
You can also press while on the road to enter live tuning. Then you can adjust the gearing for slightly more top speed. 240mph equals 386,24 kmh. |
||
1500 bhp… Easy Win a race in the Koenigsegg Regera without damaging it |
||
The Koenigsegg Regera unlocks after beating the story. For this trophy / achievement you must buy the “race” version at the race dealership, NOT THE DRAG VERSION! Winning Drag Races with the Drag Version does not unlock the trophy. The Regera costs 794,205 Credits. You can farm credits by replaying events and selling cars / performance upgrades you no longer need. Opening shipments is also a fast way to get credits. Play the race “Midnight Run”. It’s in the Desert area in the middle of the map and the shortest race in the game. It only takes 1 minute to complete. You must place 1st in the race without hitting any other cars, guard rails, walls, rocks etc. |
||
Perfect Shift Win a Drag Race round by performing only perfect shifts |
||
Drag Races unlock later in the story. During them, you will see a bar at the top of the screen that shows you when to shift gears. When the bar is in the dark green you must shift by pressing . The dark green area signals the perfect time to shift (light green is too early, red is too late). You only have to win one round with perfect shifts, not the entire match. This is quite easy to do in the first couple of drag races. Doing a perfect shift also grants you Nitrous during drag races.
Still Not Lovin Police Take down 100 cop vehicles |
||
You only encounter cops during “Runner” races. They aren’t found in the open world.
In all likelihood this will come naturally during main story events. It can be farmed by replaying Runner events, especially the last ones from the end of the game. Ram into cop vehicles to take them down. Do this to 100 cop vehicles in total. Just play through the story. If you don’t have this trophy after the story, replay events. Until then you don’t really need to farm this, just try to ram cops whenever possible during Runner races. |
||
Active Lifestyle Get a 3 Star Rating on all the Activities in the game |
||
For this you need 3 stars in all Speed Traps, Speed Runs, Drift Zones, Jumps. These activities are revealed on the map when you go near them. Just drive along all roads and you’ll unlock their locations on the map. They give you a star rating based on performance. 3 Stars is the highest rating. It’s best to wait with this until after the story. Getting 3 stars requires the fastest cars in the game.
In total there are 145 Activities (435 Stars):
Car Recommendations: Speed Traps, Speed Runs, Jumps = Koenigsegg Regera (Drag Version, Fully Tuned with 6 x Carbon Parts). Drifts = BMW M4 GTS, BMW M5, Nissan 240ZG (for offroad drifts can use an offroad vehicle). |
||
Who Runs this Town? Win all the events and beat all the Roaming Racers in the game |
||
First, you should beat the story. While doing so you will automatically have to win all events.
After the story you then need to beat all 20 roaming racers (including the bosses). They are marked via green arrows on the map. Each faction has 4 racers and a boss. Beat all racers of a faction 3 times to draw out the boss. In roaming races you only have 1 opponent and must stay in the lead for a certain period of time. The driver who stays in the lead for longer wins. If you lose you can challenge the same racer again as often as you want. After the story they are very easy to beat, especially when you drive a level 399 car. They only show up on the map when you’ve gotten close to them, just like all the other collectibles. For their locations refer to: Need for Speed Payback – All Roaming Racer Locations. |
||
Pranked Beat Jesse Wellens in an Outrun Race |
||
Jesse Wellens is a roaming racer of the 1% Club driving around the town in the south-east of the map. He is marked by a green arrow on the map (just like all other roaming racers). When you scroll over the green arrows you can see what racer it is. Look for the one called “Jesse”.
You’ll get this automatically while going for the trophy “Who Runs This Town?”. |
||
Cover Stars Own the BMW M5 2017, NISSAN Skyline GT-R (1999) and Chevrolet Bel Air |
||
The BMW M5 2017 can be bought from the Drift Dealership (112,905 Credits), the NISSAN Skyline GT-R 1999 from the Race Dealership (83,565 Credits), and the Chevrolet Bel Air is a Derelict Car that requires you to find 5 Derelict Car Parts after beating the first Runner quest line.
Chevrolet Bel Air Part Locations (only after beating the first Runner quest line): |
||
Driving the Incredible Get a score of over 350,000 points with the BMW M5 2017 during a Drift Trial event |
||
First you need to progress to the end of chapter 4. This is when the BMW M5 unlocks at the Drift Dealership (the dealership is marked on the world map with a green icon). Now play the drift trial “The Drift King”. It’s the final drift race in the game, unlocked in chapter 4 after beating all other drift trials. It’s the longest drift trial where you can rack up the most points. It may take a few tries to reach 350,000 points. If you’re short on points you can pause the game before the finish line and select “Restart”. If this is giving you trouble, it’s advisable to upgrade the car first. |
||
Supercars for Breakfast Beat all the members of the 1% Club roaming racers league in the Nissan GT-R |
||
For this the car “Nissan GT-R Premium” (Race Edition) is recommended and the one confirmed to unlock the trophy (there are other Nissan GT-R’s but they are slower and not recommended). It costs 128,835 Credits at the Race Dealership. Be sure to upgrade it to level 399. One of the roaming racers is level 390 and would be hard to beat with a lower level car. The 1% Club racers are shown on the world map as green arrows just like all other roaming racers. When you scroll over the green arrow it shows the racer’s name and a picture of the club they belong to. You need to beat the ones that have the 1% Club picture. You only need to beat them one time, it doesn’t matter if you beat them on rookie, pro or veteran level. Obviously, beating them on rookie level is the easiest option. If you have already beaten all racers, simply beating them again on veteran will still unlock the trophy. They 1% Club racers are:
The fastest way to upgrade the car is by repeating the race “Midnight Run” in the middle of the desert, buying upgrades from Tune-Up Shops or “rolling” new upgrades by trading in 3 old ones. Also see: Need for Speed Payback – All Roaming Racer Locations |
Arkayus says
I think the plat is way more than 3/10, because of the drift activities. You need 3 stars on each and i think these activities because of that.
Arkayus says
I think these activities are hard*
PowerPyx says
Yes I think you’re right. Some of them are really horrible to do (same can be said about a few jumps). Updated the difficulty rating.
GigaGaia says
I just did all the drift activities, they weren’t that hard. What terrifies me are the speed runs and speed traps, especially the speed runs. Some of those are pretty insane.
EternalChaos72 says
For roaming racers i was gonna buy that Nissan car it’s needed anyway for the trophy, but would I need to buy the drag, drift and race builds to battle the roaming racers or can I just use the race build for all of them?
PowerPyx says
The race build is what I bought, that’s the easiest option. You could also use the drag or drift versions (trophy unlocks either way) but they aren’t so well suited for it.
Anthony Lopez says
Which Nissan GTR for the super cars for breakfast trophy? There’s the ‘93, ‘99,and the GTR Premium.
Dawson Conrad says
The GTR Premium.
Adrian says
If you play on hard, do you gain more “rep” points as opposed to easy?
I am not a fan of difficulty in racing games, and thus I always go for easy unless the hardest difficulty nets me more points.
Do you get more of anything for playing on Hard difficulty?
Colton says
I think the rep is calculated the same
PowerPyx says
Hard difficulty does not give you more REP than easy. You get the same amount regardless of difficulty. Playing on easy is the fastest way to get REP.
Michael says
Playing in Hard is only for people looking for a challenge for fun. Pretty pointless.
Hussein says
Does anyone have the problem which one of the roaming cars does not appear en free roam? I only have 18 of them(including bosses), I miss only one to race the final boss, has anyone had this problem?
PowerPyx says
Which roaming racer are you missing exactly? I have heard of others with the same problem. I’m doing these right now. Will report back ASAP.
Have you beaten the story yet? That might be a requirement.
Hussein says
I managed to fix it, I went to the place where the car was, and it appeared, and yes, I’ve beaten already the story
PowerPyx says
Yes they only show up on the map when you have been near them (like all the other collectibles).
Baz says
It’s says in your roadmap that it is best to use the Nissan Fairlady 240ZG derelict in the Race Class. Do you have another derelict recommendation as I accidentally put the Nissan Fairlady 240ZG in the drift class.
PowerPyx says
Actually, the 240ZG in the drift class is probably the second best pick. There is a drift trial called “Drifting The Block” in the town in bottom right of map. You can farm parts / money / REP very easily there.
So just stick with that and farm that event, then check at tune-up shops whenever they upgrade their inventory. Trade in lower-level cards to roll new cards.
Hussein says
I decided to do mustang for road races, up to level 399 is very useful both online and offline ;)
TheFamiliarGamer says
Hey, i found an interactive map with collectibles and everything in it, is it allowed to post a link?
wzh says
Will u post a guide/location maps for All in trophy,which all chips must be collected? Thanks!
PowerPyx says
Yup, working on that today 🙂
I just got all of them last night, will post maps for all collectibles & challenges ASAP (within the next 24 hours).
PowerPyx says
Linked the maps in the collectible related trophies now. Hope that helps!
GigaGaia says
Can you use the Koenigsegg Regera race version to get 3 stars on stuff? I am asking because I would rather not grind another 850k credit to also get the drag version if I don’t have to (especially since I also don’t plan to touch drag events again if I don’t have to).
PowerPyx says
I have not tested the race version, but yes I think it works too. It might be a bit more tricky for some challenges but it should work. The drag version just has better acceleration & nitrous.
Scott B says
I was wondering the same thing. Is it easy enough to three star activities with the Koenigsegg Regera race build or does the drag build make a big difference. I’m decent at the game but no expert. Also in the post game will we have so much coin that it won’t matter anyway, we can get both no problem?
GigaGaia says
I just got my platinum and did all activities with 3 stars using the Koenigsegg Regera race version. I can confirm you don’t need the drag version, so if you don’t want to get it and save money, you can do just fine with race version.
Also, the speed runs are by far the hardest event no matter what car you use because of the god damn traffic. There is also 2 or 3 of them that are just extremely painful. Some drifts were a little challenging, but most of them were easy. Speed traps and jumps were incredibly easy.
Michael says
Yeah most of my problems are traffic. Especially this one drift, it’s pissing me off lol. Doesn’t help any that I’m doing it in a corvette. Might have to fork over some money to upgrade another ride.

Visual Customiser isnt unlocking for me using the Nissan Fairlady 240ZG. I have done all the challenges and stuff, but the only thing not unlocked is “Wheelie Bars’ and theres no hints or anything, just says “Wheelie Bars – unavailable”
Ozzie says
you only get wheelie bars if you made it into a drag build
Mohd Almahammed says
How to build wheelie bars
Michael says
Has to be over 300. Their was a bug where one visual customization wouldn’t unlock, but it was fixed in an update.

Just FYI, the trick for “Another Man’s Treasure” is still working as of patch 1.04 on Dec. 10th, 2017. I specifically had to do the race “Razor’s Edge” though to get it to work. I tried it on another drag race and it didn’t pop.

I didn’t receive the trophy “who runs this town” after finishing the storyline and after beating all the roaming racers/bosses.
Anyone an idea how this could be taken care off?
D12-D4N says
Unless this has been added and I missed it in the comments “Driving The Incredible” Trophy can be completed very easily with a semi upgraded M5 on “Drifting the block” I bought an M5 and drove it round to the “Drifting the Block” Event and within 5 speed cards rewards I completed 350,000+ and achieved this trophy
Amit says
If having difficulty in speed run try doing at night less or almost no traffic…

To get the derelict car level 399 trophy (“Another Man’s Treasure”) I think it’s the easiest NOT to concentrate on upgrading a derelict car from the beginning, but play with any car you like.
When you complete the game you unlock Catch-Up packs in Tune-Up Shops (displays as a 4th tab for any car). That way you can easily UPGRADE CAR PARTS TO STOCK LEVEL 16 and level it up to lvl 399 in under 10 minutes.
Chaz says
I don’t think anybody has the platinum trophy for this game too God damn difficult I’m at 97% completion with one speed trap a couple speed runs and a handful of drifts but it’s insane
Shahin says
Anyone know if the exploit for derelict cars works with patch 1.10? I recently just bought the game and this is the latest patch
Shahin says
NOTE:
With version 1.10, there is no grind anymore. I obtained the Platinum in 25 game hours. Following the steps, after completing story, i was level 24 or so. Then by finishing all activities and acquiring half the collectibles, I reached level 50. So I guess you earn more xp now. The derelict can be upgraded using catch up packs then upgrading through a 15 minute grind of drag racing. After that finish off miscellaneous trophies and online trophies and the Platinum is yours in 25-30 hours depending on your skill level for the activities
Jason R Rivera says
I suppose the “glitch” for the 399 Derelict doesn’t work anymore. It refuses to pop when I switch to it for an event. :/ Shame.
Hubert says
Did anybody had the issue with the last boss never appearing on the map? It’s blocking 2 trophies

Regarding Rep farming, how reliable is the Bait Crate spawning? Because I just ran three in a row right near the start of the Midnight Run race. Though now it stopped spawning there.
It gave 260,000 Rep and 20,000 cash, plus a card worth another 10,800. The run took under 2 minutes.
If other crates are similar payouts for similar times, then the plan should be to just grab them whenever you see them, such as when running to all the event locations. Double the speed of the drift method above and maybe not as dull.

I beat the 1% Club using the GT-R V-spec (1999) but didn’t receive any trophy. Went to check again and it says specifically that I need to beat them using GT-R premium. Damn, Here we go again
