Starting Location: Tomato Jelly Rampage: Live Report!
Check Taygedo’s letter
You can track the quest after reaching Hunter Level 8. While tracking this quest, press
to automatically open the message. Back out the menu when the message completes.
Go to Eibon (Eidon Rendezvous)
Use the phone booth to teleport to Eibon in Bridge Crossings.
Head inside.
Talk to Taygedo (Taygedo’s Discovery)
Approach Taygedo, who stands by the front counter.
Go to the vending machine and investigate (Vending Machine Stop One)
Make your way to the corner of Davidia Avenue and Torchwood Avenue in Bridge Crossings.
If you don’t have the phone booth activated southeast of this location, activate it now. It will make things easier for you later.
Head down the alley just southeast of Clicky.
Check vending machine (Check the Vending Machine’s Condition)
Approach the vending machine.
Go to the next vending machine and investigate (Vending Machine Stop Two)
The next vending machine is northwest on Davidia Avenue, where Davidia meets Coastal Highway Z42.
Go down the stairs in the gap between the Maximum LV 99 arcade and Witop.
Go into the subway access to your left progress.
Gather Intel on the Anomaly Hunters (Anomaly Hunter Intel)
Approach the fallen vending machine on your right.
The dialogue option in this scene doesn’t affect the outcome of the quest. Choose whichever you like better.
Go to the next vending machine and investigate (Rumors Need To Be Verified in Person)
Continue through the underground access until you come out the other side. It takes you to a spot just north of your destination.
Climb the stairs to your left. The next scene starts at the top of the stairs.
Go to the ice cream cart (Ice Cream!)
Go north up Davidia Avenue. Approach the ice cream food truck parked on the sidewalk.
Buy Ice Cream (Who’s Paying the Bill…?)
Speak to Mila. Purchase the Ice Cream Family Bucket. This progresses the quest.
Return to the vending machine location and set up an ambush (Ambush! Catch It!
Go southeast back down Davidia Avenue. Return to the stairs you last came from to progress the quest.
Defeat the Tomato Devil (Then Let’s Have an Epic Battle!)
You now face the Tomato Devil with a pre-set team consisting of Zero, Lacrimosa, and Mint. The level of the Tomato Devil is relative to your Hunter Rank level, and the pre-set team scales to match it.
Most of the Tomato Devil’s attacks are basic dodge attacks. Outside of normal swinging attacks, it manifests large axes and drops them on you as well as shooting energy bolts at you.
In the second half of its health, the Tomato Devil summons a bunch of energy bolts and shoots them at you in pairs. You can attack these to send them back at the boss. A couple of these, and the boss gets staggered. Use that opportunity to take it out.
Find other vending machines (A Wish for Tomato Jelly)
Go west to the corner of White Parrot Street and Coastal Highway Z42.
It’s in a fenced-in area on that corner. Jump the fence and approach the vending machines.
Buy Tomato Jelly (Tomato Jelly! So Good!)
Interact with the vending machine and buy the Tomato 100 Jelly.
Take Lacrimosa Home (Time for a Break!)
Find the location to the northwest on White Parrot Street.
At the end of the bypass lane, jump off to the street below.
You earn the first round of rewards at this point.
Note: If you do not have the phone booth unlocked on Davidia Avenue close to Lacrimosa’s home, activate it now. It will help you out later on.
- Reward: Hunter Level EXP x1000, Annulith x100, Elite Hunter Guide x15, Chaotic Dye x15, Manhole Boss x30, Fons x40,000, Beetle Coins x100,000
Return to Eibon (Head Back)
Teleport back to Eibon and enter the building.
Talk to Adler (About Meme Anomalies)
Approach Adler who stands by the front desk.
Return to your room to rest (Tomorrow’s Promise)
Head out back and approach your dorm to progress.
Check the items on the table (The Thoughtful Butler)
Step inside and interact with the Tomato 100 Jelly on your desk.
Prepare to sleep (Time to Say Good Night)
Interact with your bed to sleep.
Go to Lacrimosa’s house (Time to Keep the Promise)
Teleport to the phone booth on Davidia Avenue and make your way to Lacrimosa’s house once again.
Wake up Lacrimosa’s (Good Morning! Good Morning!)
Head up the stairs on your right and approach the middle door on the second floor.
Wait for evening (7:00-8:00 PM) (Let’s Start the Reversal!)
While tracking the quest, press
to switch the time.
Set up an ambush next to the vending machine (Streamer Time)
Use the phone booth between Davidia Avenue and Torchwood Avenue. Then head back toward the first vending machine that you interacted with in this quest.
The quest progresses when you get close to the Witop from earlier.
Defeat the Tomato Devil (Streamer Time)
This is much the same fight as the first time except you use your actual characters this time.
The difference here is Lacrimosa adds a parry attack to the needle barrage, and it also does a tornado attack where three small tornadoes come together to make a big one before Lacrimosa does a big attack.
Otherwise, this fight will end when it gets to 10% health.
Track the Tomato Devil (Maybe I Should Retreat…?)
You now control Lacrimosa in her bat form, chasing after the Tomato Devil mid-air.
There’s not much to do during this sequence, as it’s mostly automated. You can use
on the D-Pad to dodge incoming energy bolts and any tornadoes that the Tomato Devil creates. Otherwise, you could get hit by everything along the way and still get there. So, don’t stress too much about dodging properly because the controls for this are kind of finicky.
Defeat the Tomato Devil (One More Battle!)
One more round with the Tomato Devil, but this one comes with a lot of new attacks.
First, the Tomato Devil dives into the ground and comes out to do ground slams on you, causing both impact and splash damage. Then, it summons a truck and drops it on you. Finally, it does an area-of-effect blast where it sends out a bunch of energy bolts that burst when they hit the ground.
Return to Eibon (Light Steps)
Teleport back to Eibon and head inside.
Talk to Adler (Fame, Misunderstanding, and Oblivion)
Approach Adler who stands at the counter.
