Nioh 3 contains 26 Hot Spring Locations. Finding all Hot Springs unlocks the Spa Lover trophy & achievement.
Hot Springs are little pools of water that you must interact with to sit in them, which grants a temporary healing buff. The Hot Springs get marked on the map automatically with a green icon
when you find other Collectibles to reach Exploration Level 4 within a region. On the map press
to view the collectible tracker for each region. You can then put a marker on them and follow the compass to locate them easily.
Nothing is missable, all areas are still explorable after the story in free-roam and all missions are replayable through the Battle Scroll at shrines.
Unmarked Hot Springs: A few Hot Springs are easily overlooked because they are in regions without map trackers or inside Mission-Exclusive Maps that aren’t part of the open world. The best approach is to go for 100% completion in all regions, grab all collectibles so everything gets marked. If you end up missing any Hot Springs it’s likely the 3 untracked non-open world ones:
- Hot Spring #10 – in the north of Heian (at the time of the game’s launch this region doesn’t have a collectible tracker on the map)
- Hot Spring #18 – exclusively found in Main Mission: Dark Roots (replayable via Battle Scroll menu)
- Hot Spring #26 – exclusively found in Main Mission: A Sinister End (replayable via Battle Scroll menu). This is the easiest Hot Spring to overlook, check this first if you only miss one.
Furthermore, a few Hot Springs can only be reached inside the Crucibles during certain Main Missions (all replayable via Battle Scroll), but they are tracked on the open world map:
- Hot Spring #6 – only available in 2nd crucible during Main Mission: A Fiery Invasion.
- Hot Spring #20 – only available in 4th crucible during Main Mission: Accursed Temple.
- Hot Spring #24 – only available in 5th crucible during Main Mission: Scion of the Gods.
All other Hot Springs are in the open world and tracked on the world map.

Hot Spring #18 – at the end of Main Mission “Dark Roots”, after activating the last elevator, just before the mission boss. When you reach a room with red bloody water where you must pick up an item to power the gate to the boss, the Hot Spring is on the left side. Sitting in this Hot Spring and listening to Himiko’s dialogue is also a requirement for
Distant Memories. This is one of the two Hot Springs that’s not in the open world and easy to overlook. If you’re missing one, recheck this location.
Bakuamtsu
Shimabara (Level 100)

Hot Spring #23
Kyoto Imperial Palace (Level 130)
Hot Spring #24 – can only be reached in the crucible during Main Mission “Scion of the Gods”. It’s behind the Nurikabe (wall monster) just before the third shrine in this crucible.
Nijo Castle (Level 127)
Hot Spring #25
The Final Battle of Edo (No Map Tracker!) – during Main Mission: A Sinister End
Hot Spring #26 – This Hot Spring can only be found during Main Mission: Sinister End. At the 6th Shrine “Edo Castle: Keep Watchtower”, just before entering the Death Veil fight. To the right of the shrine, cut through the privacy screens that block the balcony. Then use the Spirit Veins to reach the lower area below the shrine where the Hot Spring is. One of the best hidden and easiest to miss in the game. If you’re missing a Hot Spring it’s likely this one.
For all other Collectibles refer to the Nioh 3 Collectible Guide.

If I have to redo a mission can I just run straight to the hot spring and then quit the mission. Or do I need to complete all of the mission. Also do the missions scale to my level? Or will they stay the level in which they were.
PowerPyx says
You can quit immediately and the missions stay the same low level on replay.

Hot Spring #26 seems to be glitched, is there any chance to fix this
