Pokemon Legends Z-A All Wild Zone Locations

October 15, 2025 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

Pokemon Legends Z-A contains 20 Wild Zones. They are the areas in which you can catch Pokemon. The Wild Zones are outlined in green on the map, and all are within Lumiose City. Initially you only have access to the first 6 Wild Zones, the rest is unlocked gradually from story progress as you advance your rank in the Z-A tournament.

Wild Zones 7-10 unlock after Main Mission 9, Zones 11-13 after Main Mission 14, Zones 14-15 after Main Mission 19, Zones 16-17 after Main Mission 24, Zones 18-19 after Main Mission 30, Zone 20 after Main Mission 38.

Each Zone contains higher level Pokemon. There’s also usually one or two Alpha Pokemon, indicated by their red eyes and bigger size. These are always at a higher level than regular Pokemon in the zone.

This page also the full list of catchable Pokemon in each zone including the red-eyed Alphas. The best approach is to buy Pokeballs from Poke Centers or from the Poke Ball Boutique in Rouge Sector 3 across from the Quasartico Inc building. You can sneak up to Pokemon in stealth and use a Quick Ball (bought from Poke Ball Boutique) for a high catch chance. You can also damage the Pokemon first to improve the catch chance. For hard to catch Pokemon you can make a manual save, if you don’t catch it quit the game and continue to load your last manual save. In Zone 20 you can catch a large variety of Alpha Pokemon which are randomized every time, allowing you to farm practically all fully evolved Pokemon there.

Note that some Pokemon only spawn at Day or at Night and some are rare spawns. You can change daytime by resting on benches outside Poke Centers.
