Introduction
Welcome to the Scholar’s Mate Trophy Guide! Scholar’s Mate is a first-person horror Escape Room experience that puts you in the shoes of Judith, a young woman who wakes up in the gloomy facilities of a psychiatric hospital. You must escape from this macabre place by solving mysteries while avoiding capture by Eddie, your sinister hunter.
Step 1: Play through the game on Scholar’s Mate difficulty.
You can play the highest difficulty right from the beginning. It is not hard at all. The only difference between the difficulties is that Eddie the hunter spots you faster. The game is very short, a full playthrough only takes 2-3 hours. You can follow this Walkthrough to get all trophies in one go:
Step 2: Cleanup
If you missed Sparks or Video Game Lover, press continue after the credits and you will spawn on the last checkpoint. If you missed Hide! & The Chair you have to start a new game. If you have any cleanup left, do it now and you’ll have platinum.

*Missable*
For story purposes, you have to open a timed door that leads to two other rooms. Eddie the Hunter has to smash this door. You now have to press this button on the wall inside the reception, then quickly run to the door that will open. Press the button, then run out of the reception, turn right, and run until the end of the corridor, and pass the door with the red light above. If you are too slow the door will close and you have to press the button in the reception again. Make sure Eddie is near you, so he can run after you to smash the door. This trophy is missable because Eddie disappears once you escape and press continue on the main menu. |
||
Hide! Manage to hide from Eddie |
||
*Missable*
For this, Eddie has to chase you and you have to hide in a room. It only unlocks when you close the door to the room. You can do it in any room and you can try it multiple times once Eddie starts to chase you. When he chases you, run away from him and run into a room, close the door and the trophy will pop. This trophy is missable because Eddie disappears once you escape and press continue on the main menu. |
||
Sparks Connect plant fuses 1F and 2F at the same time |
||
For this, you need 7 fuses. You will have them at the end of the story. Once you have them, place them in the fuse box in this order to unlock the trophy: | ||
The Chair Get the “Surgery” key disconnecting the 1F power supply |
||
*Missable*
You have to get the Surgery key for story progress, you can either do a puzzle or cut off the power to get the key. To get this trophy you have to cut the power. Once you open the Punishment Cell for story purposes, do not enter the Punishment Cell and go back to the fuse box and place the fuses like this. Now go back to the Punishment Cell, interact with the corpse on the chair, and pick up the “Surgery” key. This will unlock the trophy. |
