Zelda Tears of the Kingdom The Yiga Clan Exam Walkthrough

The Yiga Clan Exam is a Side Adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Yiga Clan Exam side mission.

Location: Gerudo
Quest Giver: Yiga Blademaster
Requirement: Must first own and wear the Yiga Outfit to accept the quest.
Reward: Permission to enter the Inner Sanctum
Quest Info: You accepted the Yiga Clan blademaster test. You must make an offering of almighty bananas at five of the Yiga Clan-marked frog statues in Gerudo Canyon. Remaining locations: 5.

Make an offering at the first Frog Shrine
Make an offering at the second Frog Shrine

Return to the Yiga Blademaster

Starting Location: The Yiga Clan Exam

Obtain the Yiga Mask

Head to the location below and glide your way over the barricade surrounding the shack and try to enter the door. Again you will have to defeat the two Yiga Ninjas. Upon defeating the two Yiga Clan members head inside and speak to Pitar who will give you the mask:

Obtain the Yiga Chest Piece

To access this shrine you must first own the Yiga Armor set. Head to the location below and try to walk through the door. Upon doing so you will be attacked by 2 Yiga ninjas. Defeat them and head inside, speak to Konba who will give you the Yiga Armor chest piece:

Obtain the Yiga Tights

Head to the cave below located in the Hebra region. Head inside the Yiga Clan Maritta Branch cave and you will be confronted by 2 more Yiga clan members. Defeat the two of them and look up midway between where you entered and where the members were and you will see a hole in the ceiling. Use Ascend to make your way up into the room above where you can speak to Aliza who will give you the tights:

Obtain The Yiga Clan Exam from the Blademaster

Once you have collected all 3 pieces of armor put them on and head to the location above and head into the cliffside housing. Inside the cliffside area there will be a door on the right. Stop and speak to person through the door and you will be invited in to speak to the Blademaster. The Blademaster will initiate the Side Adventure ‘The Yiga Clan Exam’.

Make an offering at the first Frog Shrine

It doesn’t matter which shrine you visit first. Head to the shrine below just off the bridge you used to access the Yiga Stronghold to accept the quest and hold a Mighty Banana and place it in the bowl in front of the shrine as an offering. A Yiga face cloth will appear over the frog’s face and the offering is complete.

Make an offering at the second Frog Shrine

It doesn’t matter which shrine you visit first. Head to the shrine below which is on the cliffsides just North of the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and hold a Mighty Banana and place it in the bowl in front of the shrine as an offering. A Yiga face cloth will appear over the frog’s face and the offering is complete.

Make an offering at the third Frog Shrine

It doesn’t matter which shrine you visit first. Head to the shrine below which is located in the Mount Nabooru Cave. Enter the cave from the scaffolding outside following the right wall (Don’t hop in the water) and follow it to the shrine. Hold a Mighty Banana and place it in the bowl in front of the shrine as an offering. A Yiga face cloth will appear over the frog’s face and the offering is complete.

Make an offering at the fourth Frog Shrine

It doesn’t matter which shrine you visit first. Head to the shrine below which is on top of a plateau just Southeast of the Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower and hold a Mighty Banana and place it in the bowl in front of the shrine as an offering. A Yiga face cloth will appear over the frog’s face and the offering is complete.

Make an offering at the fifth Frog Shrine

It doesn’t matter which shrine you visit first. Head to the shrine below which is in the Gerudo Canyon Mine. Head inside and when the room opens up look immediately to the right and you will see a ledge across a gap. Hop to that ledge and stand under the rock hanging lower than the ceiling and use Ascend. Immediately look to the West and you will see this shrine. Hold a Mighty Banana and place it in the bowl in front of the shrine as an offering. A Yiga face cloth will appear over the frog’s face and the offering is complete.
