  • Online Trophies: 0
  • Number of missable trophies: 47 (everything except 2 automatic story trophies)

Introduction

Welcome to the Prey Trophy Guide! Many collectibles and missable trophies await you in the quest for Prey platinum. Unlike most shooters, Prey focuses heavily on exploration, ammo conservation and crafting. There’s often more than one path to take and you’ll have to use your creativity to reach new areas, such as building a climbable structure with the Gloo Cannon. The game features many missable trophies. If you go too far and don’t have an old save game you might miss out on some trophies. For this reason it is recommended that you create a new manual save at the start of every area. By keeping manual saves you can jump back and forth to quickly mop up missing trophies.

It is recommended that you keep manual saves from the start of the following areas:

  • Hardware Labs
  • Psychotronics
  • Crew Quarters
  • Cargo Bay
  • Power Plant
  • Talos I Lobby (after leaving Power Plant / Main Mission “Before I Give You the Key” – you can still free roam at this point and get collectibles)
  • Shuttle Bay (Main Mission “Repo Man”)
  • Talos I Bridge (before game ending / Main Mission “Perdition”)

Step 1: Beat Story without Neuromods (No Needles Trophy), No Humans Killed, Finish in Most Empathetic Way (I and Thou Trophy), Do Side Quests, Farm Skill Trophies by reloading Manual Save Game, Collectibles, Make Manual Saves in Main Missions “Before I Give You The Key” & “Perdition”

The first playthrough will be the longest but will also net you the most trophies.

During this playthrough focus on the following things:

  • No Needles: Do not install any Neuromods on your main save (meaning you can’t buy skills). This will earn you the “No Needles” trophy at the end of the game. It’s okay to make a manual save, buy Neuromods to do a quick combat-related trophy, then reload the manual save. It will still earn you No Needles in the end! This way you can also knock out the combat and skill-related trophies along the way.
  • Do No Harm: Never kill any humans! This means allies (quest givers, security officers) and mind-controlled humans. It’s okay if mind-controlled people kill themselves. They will run towards you and have their heads explode – this is perfectly acceptable and does not void the trophy! If they die from attacks of other enemies or from environmental damage it does not count as a kill either. You can also use the Disruptor Stun Gun to stun humans instead of killing them. There are certain trophies that require you to do the exact opposite and kill a specific NPC. This includes the cook in Crew Quarters and Alex. Simply reload your save game after killing them and you’ll still earn the Do No Harm trophy at the end. Refusing to save someone doesn’t count as a kill. For example if you do not get Mikhaila her medicine she will die but you didn’t shoot her dead, so the game doesn’t treat it as a death caused by you (just a failed side quest). You should, of course, help everyone and do all side quests as they are tied to many other trophies. Also avoid using Recycler charges near humans as it could kill them.
  • I and Thou: Requires you to finish the game in the most empathetic way. See “I and Thou” trophy for an overview of what actions affect your empathy. Basically, this works on a point system and you must end the game with +4 empathy points. Refusing to help people or letting them die gives you negative psychopath points which should be avoided. Just do all side quests you come across and rescue everyone possible. Even if you get a negative point you can compensate for it by doing another good deed.
  • Side Quests: The side quests are tied to a lot of trophies. Most side quests pop up automatically during main missions. Others are triggered by listening to the TranScribes (Collectibles) of dead crew members. By doing all side quests you not only get many individual trophies, but it also helps with “I and Thou”.
  • Collectibles: Pick up all Collectibles along the way that you come across. Check every PC for Emails, loot every Corpse and explore carefully. No need to follow a collectible guide just yet. Make a manual save in main mission “Before I Give You The Key” (endgame). At this point you can still go back to all areas to get missing collectibles (time to look at collectible guides). For now complete the story to earn No Needles, No Harm, I and Thou. Afterwards, reload this save, buy skills (especially Hacking, Leverage, Mimic Matter) and get the following Collectibles: Emails, TranScribes, Missing Persons, Smuggler’s Dead Drops, Starbender Books, Messages You Left for Yourself. There are tons of collectibles but here’s the good news: You don’t truly need all collectibles. The trophies will pop early before finding everything. The trophies should pop at roughly 65 TranScribes / 265 Crew Members / 150-190 Emails (slightly varies for every player).

Make sure you choose easy difficulty as the game is very challenging without the use of skills. You won’t be able to hack doors and must find other ways around. The Gloo Gun is your best friend, you can build “stairs” with it on walls or climbable structures in elevator shafts. Don’t waste your Gloo Gun on enemies, keep it for when you need to create climbing paths. Always keep some Recycler Charges with you. They can be thrown at obstacles to make them disappear (would otherwise require the Leverage skill).

I want to point out again that you are absolutely allowed to do skill & kill-related trophies along the way if you reload the save game afterwards. As long as the stats on your main save say that you haven’t used Neuromods and haven’t killed humans you are good to go.

Remember to make a manual save during main mission “Before I Give You The Key”. At this point you can still free roam around the entire map to do things you’ve missed. You should reload this save after the story, after unlocking “No Needles”. Then you buy whatever skills you want and go for the Collectible Trophies.

It doesn’t matter what ending you choose! Even if you blow up Talos Station (which obviously kills everyone in the final cutscene) it will earn you the trophy for not killing any humans. The trophy pops immediately when the final cutscene is triggered.

Important for “Split Affinity”: Make a manual save in Talos I Bridge before triggering the game ending. Before starting your second playthrough, reload this manual save, buy a Typhon Power, save the game again, redo the ending. This will complete the “Typhon Powers only” requirement for trophy “Split Affinity”. Then start a completely new game in a different slot and use only Human Abilities in your next playthrough. With this trick you will get Split Affinity at the end of your 2nd playthrough. Reloading the ending yet again to buy just Human Abilities will NOT unlock Split Affinity. The game isn’t fooled this easily, so you’ll have to do at least one more complete playthrough to get it.

You can follow this YouTube Playlist along the way: Prey Trophy Guide Playlist.
It shows the trophies in chronological story order, with their applicable main quests and areas. This will give you quick visual reference of what trophy to tackle next.

Step 2: Human Abilities Playthrough + Kill Everyone + Awkward Ride Home (Make Manual Save before killing Dr. Igwe)

Start a fresh playthrough in a new campaign slot (you can choose between 3 campaign slots when starting a new game, pick an empty one). Now use Human Abilities only on this playthrough and kill all humans and quest givers you come across (see trophy “I and It” for all the details).
This is basically the exact opposite of your first playthrough. Speedrun the game and kill everyone. Also kill all mind-controlled humans (make sure you do the final hit on them, don’t let them explode their heads and don’t let them get killed by other enemies or the environment).

Make a manual save before killing Dr. Igwe in main mission “This Side Up”. You can reload it later (after this playthrough) to go back and do the “Awkward Ride Home” trophy.

You must kill absolutely everyone by the end of main mission “Before I Give You The Key”. If done correctly you will get a new side quest from Dahl when he arrives, called “Showing Initiative”. 4 humans can only be killed during this mission. Make sure you create a manual backup save before uploading data to Alex’s PC in main mission “Before I Give You The Key”. If Dahl doesn’t give you the mission you’ve done something wrong and need to reload the manual save to track down the remaining humans.

Killing all mind-controlled humans is the trickiest part. They can die very easily by external sources and other enemies. If they get too close to you they will blow their heads off which will make you miss the trophy. You really have to kill everyone by shooting them yourself. Furthermore, you can’t leave Dr. Igwe and Mikhaila to die on their own. You must be the one who lands the killing blow on them. Check your stats after every kill to make sure it counted.

Trophies earned during this playthrough, in the following order:

  1. *MAKE MANUAL SAVE BEFORE KILLING DR. IGWE DURING MAIN MISSION “THIS SIDE UP”
  2. Push the Fat Guy trophy
  3. I and It trophy
  4. Split Affinty trophy
  5. *RELOAD SAVE BEFORE KILLING DR. IGWE
  6. Awkward Ride Home trophy
  7. TranStar Employee of the Year trophy

Prey Trophy Guide

TranStar Employee of the Year
You acquired all the trophies.
Earn all other trophies to unlock platinum (DLC not required).
I and Thou
You completed the game in the most empathetic manner possible.
Prey uses a point system to determine your level of empathy.

To earn this trophy you must finish the game with +4 empathy points. The easiest way to get this is by saving Doctor Igwe, Sarah Elazar, Aaron Ingram, Mikhaila Ilyushin, Alex. Doing lots of side quests also gives easy empathy points.

Killing certain protagonists will cause you to get a negative psychopath rating, which voids the trophy. You become psychopathic if you kill Sarah Elazar and her people in the Cargo Bay, or if you kill Dr. Igwe and Mikhaila.

The table below shows what actions increase / decrease your empathy:

Requirement Empathy
Save Dahl (“Incapacitate Dahl” completed) +1
Rescue Dr. Igwe (see trophy Adrift) +1
Save Alex Yu (Arboretum area) +1
Complete “Dahl’s Ultimatum” +1
Complete “Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin” +1
Complete “Mikhaila’s Father” +1
Complete  “Escape Attempt” +1
Complete “Gustav Leitner” +1
Complete “Help Luther Glass” +1
Complete “Danielle Sho” +1
Use Mindjack Typhon power to save 10 Mind-Controlled Humans +1
Become Psychopathic by killing Sarah Elazar, Dr. Igwe and Mikhaila -100
Kill Aaron Ingram -1
Kill Alex Yu -2
Kill Dr. Igwe -2
Kill Mikhaila Ilyushin -2
Kill Sarah Elazar -2
Let Aaron Ingram die in Psychotronics -1
Let Dr. Igwe die (fail to do Adrift trophy) -1
Let Mikhaila Ilyushin die in Power Plant -1
Let Sarah Elazar die in Cargo Bay -1

The trophy unlocks during the epilogue while the robots rate your actions. It does NOT matter what ending you choose! I initiated the self-destruct sequence of Talos I Station (which is the ending that kills everyone) and it gave me the trophy.

Do No Harm
You completed the game without killing any Humans.
Never kill any humans! This means allies (quest givers, security officers) and mind-controlled humans in the Crew Quarters. It’s okay if mind-controlled people kill themselves. They will run towards you and have their heads explode – this is perfectly acceptable and does not void the trophy! You can also use the Disruptor Stun Gun to stun humans instead of killing them. Again, there are a few trophies that require you to do the exact opposite and kill a certain someone.

There are the following human encounters:

  • Trevor J. Young: He is a mind-controlled human test subject in Talos I Lobby (Trauma Center – Quarantine room)
  • Frank Jones + Emmanuella DeSilva: In the Shuttle Bay, they are sitting in one of the escape pods. Do not blast off escape pod 2 as it would kill them.
  • Arborteum (Greenhouse): 3 mind-controlled humans are found in the Greenhouse of Arborteum.
  • Aaron Ingram: A test subject in Psychotronics. There’s a computer near his test chamber that can be used to either kill him or open the door so he can escape.
  • Crew Quarters: 18 mind-controlled humans walking around here.
  • Will Mitchell (aka Luka): He’s the kitchen chef in Crew Quarters.
  • Dr. Igwe: Optional character, can be rescued during main mission “This Side Up”.
  • Sarah Elazar and her security officers: You meet them during main mission “Shipping and Receiving” in the cargo bay.
  • Mikhaila: She’s found in the Power Plant area, after opening the door of the cooling chamber and before going to the reactor room. She’s sitting on the floor of an office, dying a slow death. You can talk to her and get medicine to help.
  • Dahl: During side quest “Incapacitate Dahl”.
  • Alex Yu: You meet him near the end of the game outside his office bunker.

If you don’t play their side quests or never encounter these characters it will not count as a kill. So technically, speedrunning the game and skipping all their quests would also unlock the trophy. They would all die but not directly by your hands, so doesn’t void the trophy.

It doesn’t matter what ending you choose! Even if you blow up Talos Station (which obviously kills everyone in the final cutscene) it will earn you the trophy for not killing any humans. The trophy pops immediately when the ending is triggered, even before the cutscene finishes playing.

I and It
You killed every Human on or around Talos I.

For this every human must die by your hand.

There are the following human encounters (chronological order):

  • [0:17] Trevor J. Young: He is a mind-controlled human test subject in Talos I Lobby (Trauma Center – Quarantine room)
  • [1:54] Frank Jones + Emmanuella DeSilva: In the Shuttle Bay you can can interact with the Escape Pod Console to kill them both. After seeing the 2nd video in your office of Talos I Lobby, a flying drone called January gives you the General Access Keycard. With this keycard you can enter the Shuttle Bay through Talos I Lobby (path behind elevator). Once in the Shuttle Bay, run straight ahead to where the big monster is flying around. Make a left turn and go through the door, then downstairs to the Escape Pods.
  • [4:23] Aaron Ingram: A test subject in Psychotronics. There’s a computer near his test chamber that can be used to kill him or let him out and shoot him in the head.
  • [5:20] Arborteum (Greenhouse): 3 mind-controlled humans are found in the Greenhouse of Arborteum.
  • [6:40]Crew Quarters: 18 mind-controlled humans walking around here. Shoot them before they kill themselves (head explosion). This is extremely easy to miss, so make lots of quick saves here.
  • [9:46] Will Mitchell (aka Luka): He’s the kitchen chef in Crew Quarters. Kill him through the window.
  • [13:03] Dr. Igwe: Optional character, must be rescued during main mission “This Side Up”. Afterwards you meet him in the Cargo Bay and can shoot him in the head.
  • [14:58] Sarah Elazar and her security officers: You meet them during main mission “Shipping and Receiving” in the cargo bay (8 people  total).
  • [16:09] Mikhaila: She’s found in the Power Plant area, after opening the door of the cooling chamber and before going to the reactor room. She’s sitting on the floor of an office. Shoot her in the head.
  • [17:01] Life Support: 4 mind-controlled humans. Only during side mission “Showing Initiative”. This mission is given to you by Dahl. You must have killed ALL humans listed above before Dahl arrives (so everyone except Dahl and Alex Yu). Dahl arrives after main mission “Before I Give You The Key” is complete. Make a manual save before completing this mission. If Dahl doesn’t give you the Showing Initiative Quest you have missed a human and need to go around to double check all kills.
  • [20:13] Dahl: During side quest “Incapacitate Dahl” put a bullet in his brain.
  • [21:18] Alex Yu: You meet him near the end of the game outside his office bunker.

Make sure that you kill all mind-controlled humans yourself. Don’t let them explode their own heads, don’t let the environment kill them (happens if they walk into fire or electricity) and make sure no other enemy kills them by accident – if any of this happens it voids the trophy! Check your statistics after each kill to make sure it counted (see Human Kills). The best way is to sneak up to them from behind, use the Disruptor stun gun, then kill the stunned enemy. Don’t leave humans to die on their own in side quests – kill them yourself (rescue Dr. Igwe from the container so he doesn’t suffocate, then shoot him when you meet). Danielle Sho cannot be killed (even though it shows her being alive at security terminals she can be ignored).

You must kill absolutely everyone by the end of main mission “Before I Give You The Key”. If done correctly you will get a new side quest from Dahl when he arrives, called “Showing Initiative”. 4 mind-controlled humans can only be killed during this mission. Make sure you create a manual backup save before uploading data to Alex’s PC in main mission “Before I Give You The Key”. If Dahl doesn’t give you the mission you’ve done something wrong and need to reload the manual save to track down the remaining humans.

Mimic Massacre
You killed (5) mimics in 5 seconds.

There are very limited opportunities to do this. The best place is in Psychotronics, on level 3 in the room “Labs A”. In the Lab there’s a glued window. Behind it are 5 mimics sitting in one room.
Make a manual save (in case something goes wrong), shoot open the window, throw a Typhon Lure (lures all enemies to one spot), throw Recycler Charge (sucks in all enemies and kills them instantly). You can also shoot / melee the enemies once they are standing at the lure. They won’t attack you while the lure is active.

If something goes wrong reload the save game. Typhon Lures and Recycler charges can be found nearby. Typhon Lures in Lab B and a Recycler Charge in the secret hall behind the Director’s office (level 2, use his PC to open the secret path).
You can still return here at the end of the game (enter from Talos I Lobby, same way you went in the story).

Dead Calm
You killed an enemy while using Combat Focus.
First you must buy the human ability “Combat Focus I” (Security Skill Tree). It costs 2 Neuromods. Equip this ability in the weapon wheel and activate it with L2. It remains active for 10 seconds and you must kill an enemy during that time. An easy way is to damage the enemy beforehand (so it will die in one hit). Then activate the ability and quickly kill the enemy with one final hit.
Mimesis
You mimicked a Mimic.

For this trophy you need the Typhon Power “Mimic Matter”. It lets you transform into any object you target (chairs, tables etc.). Mimics do the same thing – they hide in plain sight by mimicing solid objects. Use the Psychoscope to scan the environment for Mimics posing as objects (this tool is obtained automatically in main quest “Detour”).
Buy Mimic Matter (Morph skill tree) in the Neuromods menu and use it on the Mimic from afar. Now transform into the same object as the Mimic and the trophy unlocks.

I did this in the Crew Quarters during main mission “Gathering Echoes”, but it can be done in many other places. Mimics are the most common enemies and show up everywhere.
Remember that the Mimic is not allowed to see you. If you get too close it will run away and you cannot use the skill while the mimic is in its black goo shape.

Shapeshifter
You mimicked (20) or more unique objects.
Requires you to buy the “Mimic Matter” Typhon Power and use it on 20 different objects. This power allows you to transform into the shape of any object you encounter in the game world (chairs, tables etc.).

There are tons of unique objects everywhere. Finding 20 different ones is really easy. Just keep this skill equipped and use it on a bunch of objects in every new area you go to. The “Crew Quarters” area has lots of objects and you can quickly earn the trophy there.

Equip the power in your weapon wheel and hold L2 to aim at objects. Each use of it costs 10 Psi points. You have 100 Psi points and can recharge them by consuming Psi Hypos. Those are randomly found in the game world and can be crafted, too.

Know Thine Enemy
You acquired a Typhon power.
You automatically unlock the ability to buy Typhon powers during main mission “Detour” (Area: Psychotronics). To unlock new powers, enemies must be scanned using the Psychoscope. Scan all the enemies you see. The Psychoscope is also unlocked in the “Detour” mission and cannot be missed (goggles that are used to scan enemies from afar).

Each skill requires different enemy scans. After enough enemies have been scanned you can buy the Typhon Powers by spending Neuromods. Press Touchpad > Neuromods and select one of the purple colored skill categories (Energy, Morph, Telepathy).

Know Thy Self
You acquired a Human ability.
For this you need to collect a Neuromod and trade it for a human ability in the skills menu (press Touchpad > Neuromods). There are 3 types of human abilities: Scientist, Engineer, Security. This can be done very early in the game. In the area called “Neuromod Division” you get an optional objective named “Everything You Know is About to Change”. This objective is triggered automatically and marks a Neuromod for you. It’s in the same area where you find the Gloo Cannon.

There are many other Neuromods to find. You’ll run into them very often because they are required to buy new skills.

No Needles
You completed the game without ever acquiring any Typhon power or Human ability.
Requires you to finish an entire playthrough from start to finish without spending Neuromods on skills. You are, however, allowed to buy skills to get some combat-related trophies out of the way and reload your save game afterwards. This will not void the No Needles trophy! As long as the stats on your main save say you have spent 0 Neuromods you will unlock this in the end.

Please note that using Alex’s escape pod in the early game will not count as a full playthrough and does not unlock this trophy. It has to be a full playthrough all the way to main quest “Perdition”.

Make sure you choose easy difficulty as the game is very challenging without the use of skills. You won’t be able to hack and repair objects and must find other ways to get around. The Gloo Gun is your best friend, you can build “stairs” with it on walls or climbable structures in elevator shafts. Don’t waste your Gloo Gun on enemies, keep it for when you need to create climbing paths. Also keep a few Recycler Charges in your inventory at all times and don’t waste them on enemies. You can throw them at obstacles that would normally require the Leverage skill. The Recycler charges will “suck in” obstacles and make them disappear without having to use any skills. Do not waste them on random exploration, but rather for main quests where they are needed.

The trickiest part for me was finding all of Danielle Sho’s voice samples in the Crew Quarters. Normally you could repair one of her TranScribes to earn 20% voice sample completion. On your No Needles playthrough you must find other TranScribes instead. If you have trouble with this, check out the Gathering Echoes walkthrough that shows all voice sample locations.

Split Affinity
You completed the game once acquiring only Typhon Powers and again acquiring only Human abilities.
This trophy requires two full playthroughs! You can, however, combine it with the “No Needles” trophy for not buying any skills. It is vital that you play the full story all the way to main mission “Perdition”. Escaping early via Alex’s escape pod does NOT count towards the trophy. Here’s how you can combine it with No Needles over 2 playthroughs:

  1. First Playthrough = No Needles (don’t buy any skills). Make a manual save before the game ending.
  2. Reload the manual save after the epilogue finishes playing and returns you to the main menu.
  3. Buy 1 Typhon Power, save the game again, trigger the same ending again (completes half the requirement for Split Affinity in same playthrough as No Needles).
  4. Second Playthrough = start a game in a new campaign slot (you can choose between 3 total, make it a different one than your first playthrough). Now buy only Human abilities and the trophy will unlock during the final cutscene.
Engineer
You repaired at least (20) objects on and around Talos I.
To make repairs you must first buy the human ability “Repair” (Engineer skill tree).

Repairs also cost spare parts. Those are often found as loot and from dead enemies. You will frequently come across junction boxes and other items that can be repaired. You can also destroy them yourself and then repair them. The cheapest way is to destroy a turret, repair it and repeat 20 times. Turrets cost only 3 spare parts to repair (so you’ll need 60 total).

Most objects can be repaired with the second level “Repair II”. The level 3 objects take up too many resources and should be avoided. Best stick to ones that are level 1 – 2 to save spare parts. Loot everything you come across to get as many spare parts as possible. The skill “Dismantler” allows you to dismantle certain equipment in your inventory in exchange for spare parts. You could craft items at a Fabricator and dismantle them to get enough parts.

Operator
You hacked at least (20) objects on and around Talos I.
You can hack keypads (doors/safes), computers, and even turrets. To do so you must acquire the human ability “Hacking” (Scientist skill tree). It is highly recommended that you get the highest level “Hacking IV”. It’s the most useful skill in the game and a must-buy for collectibles. Hack absolutely every door and computer you come across. This will always lead to areas with fantastic loot. There are a lot more than 20 hackable objects. So getting this won’t be a problem if you invest in the Hacking skill from the beginning.
Deprogramming
You used Mindjack to free a mind-controlled Human.

This can be done during main mission “Gathering Echoes” in the area called “Crew Quarters”. Scan the mind-controlled humans in this area with the Psychoscope to unlock the skills “Psychoshock” and “Mindjack”.
Now buy these two skills with Neuromods and use Mindjack on a mind-controlled human. It will knock out the human instantly and unlock the trophy.

Tee One Up
You killed an enemy while they were Lifted.

First buy the Typhon Powers Kinetic Blast I > Lift Field I. Now use the Lift Field on an enemy. This causes them to float in the air for a short period of time. Kill the floating enemy to unlock the trophy or achievement.
In order to unlock Lift Field for purchase, a total of 3 Poltergeist enemies have to be scanned! The earliest you can do this is during main mission “Gathering Echoes” in the Crew Quarters. There are a bunch of those Poltergeists in the area. They are invisible but you’ll know they are there when being lifted in the air all of the sudden, or if furniture comes flying at you. Always have the Psychoscope equipped to scan them. Explore the Crew Quarters carefully and you’ll find 3 of them.

Escape Velocity
You blasted yourself as an object for at least 20 meters in normal gravity.

Requires the Typhon Powers “Morph I” and “Kinetic Blast I”
Now go to any point where you can fall down 20 meters. The roof of Alex’s office in the middle of Arboretum works great. Drop a small object from your inventory (e.g. crafting resource), use “Morph” to transform into the object, and “Kinetic Blast” to blast yourself over the ledge. You must stay in the air for 20 meters or more to unlock the trophy. This has to be done in normal gravity, you cannot do it in low-gravity areas.

Kinetic Blast is unlocked by scanning Phantoms and Morph by scanning Mimics.

By far the funniest trophy in the game, enjoy!

It’s Alive!
You created a Phantom using Phantom Genesis.

Buy the Typhon Power “Phantom Genesis I” (requires you to buy Phantom Shift I first). Cast Phantom Genesis on any human corpse to summon a creature that will fight for you. Dead bodies are found literally everywhere throughout the game.

To unlock “Phantom Genesis” you must scan Weaver enemies. Weavers are huge flying creatures with yellow mist around them and show up frequently throughout story missions. Scan all enemies you come across to unlock the various Typhon Powers.

Thoughts Can Kill
You used Psychoshock on a Human.

This can be done during main mission “Gathering Echoes” in the area called “Crew Quarters”. Scan the mind-controlled humans in this area with the Psychoscope to unlock the skill “Psychoshock”.
Now buy this skill with Neuromods and use Psychoshock on a mind-controlled human. It will kill the human instantly and unlock the trophy.

Ball Lightning
You used Electrostatic Burst to drop two or more Operators at once.

This trophy / achievement is a bit glitchy! For me it never unlocked when hitting just 2 Operators with one Electrostatic Burst. It eventually unlocked when hitting 5 in one blast. If it doesn’t unlock you just need to hit more at once.

Operators are flying drones that use flamethrowers or laser beams to attack you. At the end of the game there will be Military Operators everywhere on the map.

The best place to get this is in optional side quest “Help Luther Glass”. It unlocks when you free roam in Talos I Lobby during main mission “The Repo Man”.
The “Help Luther Glass” quest leads you into a room with lots of Military Operators. Buy the Typhon Power “Electrostatic Burst” (level III recommended), and shoot it at the floor near 5-6 Operators. The Level 3 Electrostatic Burst has the most range, so it’s significantly easier to hit multiple Operators at once. You can also do it with the Level 1 version but it may take a few more tries.

Create a quick save before entering the room with the operators. This way you can retry if something goes wrong.

TranStar Gourmand
You consumed one of every type of food and drink on Talos I.
In Prey you can consume food and drinks to restore health and get rid of negative status effects. When finding a consumable you can either press Triangle-Button to consume it directly, or place it in your inventory for later consumption. Not every consumable has a fixed location. Some are random loot from corpses, meaning every player will find something else when looting bodies or objects. Corpses often have food or drinks that you can loot, so make sure you search everything carefully and loot every body you come across.

Here are all the types of food and drink in Prey and where you can find them (chronological story order):

Food:

  • Methuselah Apple (Location: Talos I Lobby, on the upper floor of the lobby in the office where you must view the video file as part of a main objective)
  • Sunburst Banana (Location: Talos I Lobby, on the upper floor of the lobby check the front desk of the office with the recycler and fabricator)
  • Sun-Dried Tomata Jerky (Location: Hardware Labs, in the Machine Shop where you must find the Artax Propulsion System blueprint to advance in the story)
  • Russian Blinis (Location: Psychotronics, Live Exam room. After using the console to unleash the electrified Phantom loot the corpse of that phantom. This could be a random drop and you may find Russian Blinis from other corpses).
  • Moonshade Lemon (Location: Arboretum, Greenhouse – they are growing Lemons inside the Greenhouse, you can pick it from a tree)
  • Jamon Tomato (Location: Arboretum, Greenhouse)
  • Big Bang Candy (Location: Crew Quarters, Recreation Center, on a table upstairs)
  • Captain Spree’s Fish Sticks (Location: Crew Quarters, Kitchen)
  • Jellied Eels (Location: Crew Quarters, Kitchen)
  • Siskak Unagi Rollz (Location: Crew Quarters, Kitchen)
  • Udon Noodles (Location: Crew Quarters, Crew Habitation Pods, Joshua Vanstry’s pod)
  • Veggie Blend (Location: Cargo Bay, Cargo Staging Area on a table with lots of other snacks)
  • Spiralite Cookies (Location: Cargo Bay, Cargo Staging Area on a table with lots of other snacks)
  • Skyking Pomegranate: (Location: Cargo Bay, Cargo Staging Area on a table with lots of other snacks)
  • Ossetra Caviar (Location: Cargo Bay, Cargo Staging Area on a table with lots of other snacks)
  • RanDom Dim Sum (Location: Cargo Bay, Cargo Staging Area on a table with lots of other snacks)
  • Sunburst Banana Pudding (Location: Cargo Bay, G.U.T.S. Loading bay, in container 3232 – requires Hacking II skill)
  • Shaker Lemon Pie (Location: Shuttle Bay, inside Dahl’s space shuttle. You have to access it during main mission “The Repo Man”.)
  • Crispy Frites: (Location: during main mission “Perdition” in Alex’s bunker. After finally meeting with Alex he gives you his aiming key. Now a monster attacks and he gets unconscious. To save Alex you must drag him into his bunker where a lot of food can be found).
  • Glucassist! (Location: Random loot from corpses)

Drinks:

  • Kings & Way Sprinkling Water (Location: Your Apartment, where the game starts)
  • Cold Mountain Green Tea (Location: Neuromod Division, in the restroom by a toilet)
  • Duck Beer (Location: Hardware Labs, on a table in the auditorium facing the demonstration stage)
  • PopStar (Location: Psychotronics, in the Material Extraction room. Do not open the door for the prisoner. Extract the mimic instead and let it kill him, then loot the corpse. This could be a random drop and you may find it from other corpses).
  • Old Sardar Bourbon (Location: Crew Quarters, in the bar named “The Yellow Tulip” on the map. It’s on the 2nd floor of the crew quarters).
  • Kafe Karsk (Location: Crew Quarters, Recreation Center on a table upstairs)
  • Pomegranate Moonshine (Location: Crew Quarters, Kitchen)
  • Tamizdat Vodka (Location: Crew Quarters, Crew Habitation Pods, Harley Grainger’s pod)
  • Green Beetle Gin (Location: Shuttle Bay, inside Dahl’s space shuttle. You have to access it during main mission “The Repo Man”.)
Cold Dead Hands
You fully upgraded a weapon.
To upgrade weapons you need Weapon Upgrade Kits. You also need the engineer skills Repair I > Gunsmith I > Gunsmith II (costs 11 Neuromods total). Without those skills it’s not possible to fully upgrade a weapon.

Some weapons require more upgrades than others. The pistol, shotgun and Gloo Gun are the cheapest at 15 upgrade kits each. To upgrade a weapon press Touchpad > Inventory > Scroll over the weapon you want to upgrade > Triangle-Button > Upgrade. You must fully upgrade all categories of your weapon!

To quickest way to get this is by obtaining the Fabrication Plan (Blueprint) for the weapon upgrade kit. Then you can craft as many as you want at any fabricator. The the location of the blueprint and some additional weapon kit locations, see Prey Weapon Upgrade Kit Fabrication Plan Location (Blueprint).

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
You used a single Recycler Charge to recycle at least 20 objects.

This is best done in the “Hardware Labs” station (when viewing the world map or saving the game it shows the area name).
In this station there’s a side room called “Ballistics Lab”. In there you find 2 recycler charges.

To earn Reduce, Reuse, Recycle; throw the recycler charge at the exact spot shown in the video guide. There are some tables, chairs and boxes in the Ballistics lab. The recycler will suck them in and turn them into crafting resources. You can do this wherever enough tiny objects are nearby. Offices are usually a good place because they have lots of tables, chairs and collectable objects.

Intrinsic Value
You recycled yourself.

This is best done in the “Hardware Labs” station (when viewing the world map or saving the game it shows the area name).
In this station there’s a side room called “Ballistics Lab”. In here you find 2 recycler charges.

To earn Inrinsic Value, throw a recycler charge and walk into it. This will kill you instantly and unlock the trophy / achievement.

Note: You can’t have the “Recycler Shielding” Chipset equipped because it renders you immune to Recycler Charges.

Missing Persons
You located all employees on Talos I.
See Prey All Missing Persons Locations
Press Sneak
You read all the emails on Talos I.
See Prey All Email Locations
Psychometry
You found and listened to all TranScribe recordings.
See Prey All TranScribe Locations
No Show
You died to helicopter blades on your first day on the job.

This can be done at the very start of the game. From the main menu begin a new game. First thing you’ll have to do is put on your suit and go to the rooftop where a helicopter is waiting. Jump on the front of the helicopter and then into the blades. This results in an instant death and unlocks the trophy / achievement.

Awkward Ride Home
You escaped Talos I aboard Dahl’s shuttle with only Dahl.
*Glitched Trophy*

For this you must kill everyone except Dahl and perform an apto-regressive neurotomy on him (see trophy “This Never Happened”).

It’s best if you combine it with your playthrough for “I and It” (kill everyone). Here’s what to do:

  1. If you are doing “I and It”, make a manual save before killing Dr. Igwe. After unlocking “I and It”, reload this save game.
  2. Save Dr. Igwe from the Cargo Container in main mission “This Side Up”.
  3. Leave everyone alive after this point (for now). If you kill certain characters, such as the security forces in Cargo Bay, Dr. Igwe will refuse to cooperate with you.
  4. Do the surgery on Dahl, see trophy “This Never Happened”.
  5. After the surgery kill everyone except Dahl (also Dr. Igwe, Alex, all Mind-Controlled Humans – see trophy “I and It”).
  6. Initiate the self-destruct sequence at the end of the game, then quickly escape with Dahl on his shuttle.

Note: it doesn’t matter if Dahl gives you his side quest “Showing Initiative”. There are 4 mind-controlled humans in this quest but they are not relevant for this trophy. At the end it might say 4 people are remaining in the Cargo Bay. Those would be the ones from that quest. The trophy should unlock with 4 people remaining in the Cargo Bay.

This trophy is known to be glitchy for some players. There are reports of players having 0 people remaining in the cargo bay (according to the display in Dahl’s shuttle) and it still no trophy. Futhermore, with patch 1.00 – 1.01 Dr. Igwe duplicates and spawns in two places. You must kill both versions of him. First he spawns in the Cargo Bay – you must leave him alive here so that he can do the surgery on Dahl later. After leaving the Power Plant he will move to your office in Talos I Lobby and eventually when you do the surgery he moves to Neuromod Division. Kill him after the surgery in Neuromod Division. Then search for his duplicate in Cargo Bay B (he’s sometimes hiding in one of the containers crouching down, other times he’s in Sarah Elazar’s office upstairs). The problem is that he’s supposed to move to Talos I Lobby but in doing so the game duplicates him in the Cargo Bay where you first meet him. If you leave one version of him alive it will not pop the trophy. This might or might not get a patch in the future. Wth patch 1.01 you have to kill him in both places.

Push the Fat Guy
You killed Alex.
At the end of main mission “Keys to the Kingdom” you will meet Alex as part of the story, but ONLY if you didn’t let Dahl hack into Alex’s bunker. You should take out Dahl so that he can’t kill Alex. See trophy “This Never Happened” for instructions on how to do this exactly.

After Dahl and his security officer have been eliminated (by non-lethal or lethal means), go to Alex’s office bunker on the hill of Arboretum. The waypoint marker should point you there automatically, if not you must clear other main objectives first. After Alex comes out his bunker stun him with the Disruptor Stun Gun, then shoot him in the face with the pistol. When you stun him first he can’t run away.

Abandon Ship
You fled Talos I aboard Alex’s escape pod before completing your mission.

This is basically an alternate ending that will let you escape the Talos I space station early in the game. Because it isn’t a full playthrough it won’t count towards “Split Affinity” and is NOT going to unlock the trophies for No Kills / Everyone Killed / No Needles. It will result in a game over screen afterwards and reload your last save game.

The earliest chance to do it is in main mission “Gathering Echoes”. Really all you have to do is complete the “Who is December?” side quest which started earlier in Talos I Lobby. But even without this quest it can be done. Here’s what to do:

1) In Arboretum area: climb up the hill in the middle of the map and enter Alex’s office (you can use the Gloo Cannon to create a climbable path along the wall).
2) In Alex’s office: Use lift skill or throw a recycler charge to get rid of the box blocking the vent. Now open the vent. Behind it is a safe. The safe can be hacked (requires skill), or you can get the code from doing side quest “Who is December?”.
3) From the safe pick up the Keycard to Alex Yu’s Suite. Now head to the Crew Quarters area.
4) In Crew Quarters: Go up the elevator (the code can be found in the storage room up the stairs to left of area entrance). On the top floor enter Alex Yu’s suite and get the EP101 keycard from under the globe.
5) Head back to Alex Yu’s office on the Arboretum hill. You can see the escape pod in the distance on a metal structure. Climb to the very top of the house and shoot some Gloo to reach the steel framework. It’s a bit tricky but with smart use of the Gloo Cannon you can make it all the way to the escape pod. Enter the pod using the EP101 keycard and escape. Later in the game, during main mission “Before I Give You The Key” you can extend the bridge to the pod.

Self-Incriminating
You found out what happened to Mikhaila’s father and let her know.
Reward for completing Mikhaila’s entire quest line, consisting of 3 side quests (Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin > Whistleblower > Mikhaila’s Father). At the end of the third quest “Mikhaila’s Father” you must choose to transfer the Audio File to your office PC. If you choose to destroy the file it will void the trophy.

Completing one quest will lead to the next follow-up quest.

Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin:
During main mission “Reboot” you will go through the Power Plant area. After the coolant room you come to two elevators leading to the Reactor room and an office near the elevators. In the office you can find Mikhaila. She’s sitting on the floor. Talk to her to get her quest “Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin”. Simply complete her side quest. Please note there is a 2 hour time limit to do the quest. For this reason you should do it right away, otherwise Mikhaila dies!

Whistleblower:
This quest starts after talking to Mikhaila in your office (Talos I Lobby area). She will spawn there after completing the Power Plant area. You will have to go to the Cargo Bay and open container 3232 in the G.U.T.S. Loading Bay (check map for room name). There’s only one container with a keylock so it should be easy enough to find. To open the container, either use the Hacking ability or enter the container number in the computer terminal in Cargo Bay B. In container 3232 you can find a corpse under a bed. Loot the corpse to get a quest item which finishes the mission.

Mikhaila’s Father:
Triggers immediately after Whistleblower. You have got to go to Deep Storage and access a computer (requires Hacking IV to enter the room). On the computer you must choose “Transfer Audio File”! This is extremely important! If you choose to delete the audio file the trophy will be unobtainable! After transferring the audio you must return to your office in Talos I Lobby where Mikhaila is waiting. Play the recording from your office PC so Mikhaila can hear it. This will unlock the Self-Incriminating trophy.

Brain Trust
You helped Igwe, January, and Mikhaila meet in your office.
Here’s how to save the three required characters in chronological story order (first January, then Dr. Igwe, and lastly Mikhaila).

January: You encounter him automatically in your office early in the game (he’s a flying drone). Do not kill him! If you did the trophy “Suicide by Proxy” (for which you must kill him) reload the save game afterwards so he respawns.

Dr. Igwe: See trophy “Adrift” for a video and in-depth guide.

Mikhaila: She is found in the Power Plant area during main mission “Reboot”. After exiting the Coolant chamber she is sitting on the floor of an office. Talk to her to get a side quest “Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin”. You’ll have to find her medicine within 2 hours. Do this side quest immediately and she’ll later show up in the office.

If you saved all three, the trophy will pop on your way back to Talos I Lobby during main quest “The Keys to the Kingdom” after leaving the Power Plant.

Dear Future Self
You found and listened to all the messages you left for yourself.

There are a total of 11 messages required for the Dear Future Self trophy.

  • 3 of them are automatic story unlocks (videos that you have to watch as part of main objectives. 1 in mission “An Office with a View”, 1 in “Through a Glass Darkly”, 1 in “Before I Give You The Key”).
  • 6 audio files are found on the PC in Morgan Yu’s Suite on the top floor of Crew Quarters (can go up there via elevator, requires keycard found in your office of Talos I Lobby).
  • 1 is in the safe of Alex’s office in form of a TranScribe collectible called “I Keep Having This Dream” (you can hack it with the hacking skill or get the code from side quest “Who is December?”).
  • 1 is found in form of a TranScribe collectible called “If Things go Sideways” at the end of the game inside Alex’s bunker, during main mission “The Keys to the Kingdom”. You will have to go there to get the aiming key from Alex Yu. This is the last one you can get and should unlock the trophy.
Best Served Cold
You killed Luka and avenged Abby.

This can be done in the Crew Quarters area. There’s a man hiding in the kitchen called “Will Mitchell”. Kill him to earn the trophy. You go there for the first time during main mission “Gathering Echoes”.

Explanation: the guy posing as the kitchen chef is not who he says he is. His real name is Luka and he murdered another crew member called Abby. By killing him you avenge Abby.

Suicide by Proxy
You killed January.

You can do this during main mission “Speak with January” in the area “Talos I Lobby”.
When returning to your office for the second time to view a video, you will be greeted by a flying drone called January. It will drop a keycard and Neuromod. For this trophy you must destroy the drone.

You should reload the save game afterwards! Killing January might complicate some other side quests and will void the trophy “Brain Trust” later in the game.

Open Says She
You used Danielle’s voice samples to access Deep Storage.
Automatic story trophy, unlocks during “Restore From Backup” main mission.
This Never Happened
You performed an apto-regressive neurotomy on Dahl.
Reward for completing side mission “Incapacitate Dahl” without killing Dahl.

During main mission “Repo Man” you receive a call from Dr. Igwe to meet him in your office (assuming you saved Dr. Igwe, see trophy “Adrift” on how to save him). If you didn’t save Dr. Igwe you cannot earn this trophy.

Dr. Igwe’s call triggers the side mission “Incapacitate Dahl”. After Dr. Igwe’s call you must meet him in your office in Talos I Lobby. He’ll tell you to stun Dahl rather than killing him. For this you’re going to need the Disruptor Stun Gun, which can be found in the Crew Quarters and many other places. The only problem with this mission is that it doesn’t have a waypoint marker for Dahl, so you gotta find him on your own. He is always on level 2 of the area “Life Support”. From where you enter the Life Support area go straight through the decontamination chamber (do not use the elevators). After the decontamination chamber you enter a room with some big fans in the middle and lots of Military Operators all over the place. On the right side, up some stairs, is a room with bullet proof glass. You can enter through a vent on the wall behind the room (shoot your Gloo Gun to make a climbable path). Enter the vent and drop down into the room with Dahl. Shoot him with the Disruptor Stun Gun and leave the area. If you kill Dahl the trophy will become unobtainable! Just leave the area and wait 5-10 minutes until Dr. Igwe calls you to the Neuromod Division. Here you must use the elevator to get to the upper floor (or shoot Gloo in the elevator to climb up). On the upper floor you can activate a computer program to do the surgery on Dahl which turns him friendly and unlocks the trophy.

Facsimile
You met January for the first time.
Automatic story trophy, unlocks during “Speak with January” main mission.
A Friend in Need
You recovered Mikhaila’s booster shots and healed her.
Reward for completing side mission “Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin”.

During main mission “Reboot” you will go through the Power Plant. After the coolant room you come to two elevators leading to the Reactor room and an office near the elevators. In the office you can find Mikhaila. She’s sitting on the floor. Talk to her to get her quest “Assist Mikhaila Ilyushin”. Simply complete her side quest and the trophy will unlock. Please note there is a 2 hour time limit to do the quest. For this reason you should do it right away, otherwise Mikhaila dies!

Prism Master
You read the entire Starbender series and don’t regret it.

There are 6 Starbender Book Collectibles in Prey. Finding all their locations unlocks the “Prism Master” trophy or achievement.

The first 5 books of the series can actually be found in multiple locations. They have 3 spawn points each. They will always be at all 3 points simultaneously (so it’s not random, they are always show up in each of the 3 spots). You only need to find each book once.
This video shows the easiest locations. Everything except for the 5th book can be found in the Crew Quarters. Book #6 only has one spawn point, it’s always in Alex Yu’s suite in the Crew Quarters.

They can be collected in any order you like. You can still go back during main mission “Before I Give You The Key” and free roam around the entire map. The video shows them in chronological story order so you can also collect them while playing through the main story.

In the game stats under “Data” > “Notes” you can track which ones you’ve already found.

The Gates of Hell
You completed the Shipping and Receiving objective and no human lives were lost.

This can only be done in main mission “Shipping and Receiving”, during the defense of Cargo Bay B.

In order to open the cargo bay door you must first do side mission “Cargo Bay Defenses” which has you place 3 turrets at Cargo Bay Bay B. As soon as you open the door, lots of enemies will come swarming out to attack you and the allied security officers.

The turrets will do most of the work, but you should also throw a Nullwave Transmitter and shoot them with your shotgun. The faster the enemies die, the less risk they pose to your allies. None of the security officers are allowed to die during the defense!

It’s highly recommended that you play on easy difficulty for this (difficulty can be changed in game options at any time)! Enemies die much quicker on this difficulty. Also make a manual save game before placing the 3 turrets. This way you can retry as often as you like. You can also craft additional turrets if you have trouble.

Adrift
You rescued Dr. Igwe from a cargo container.

You can rescue Dr. Igwe during main mission “This Side Up”. This is a timed event and missable!
After escaping from Deep Storage you’ll be floating in outer space and have to reach the Cargo Bay. Just as you reach the Cargo Bay, a new side mission “Rescue Dr. Igwe” will pop up. It will automatically mark a container floating in space. The container has the number “2312” printed on it. Fly over to the nearby workstation (by the Cargo Bay) and enter the container number “2312”. Now choose “Dock Shipping Container” which will rescue Dr. Igwe and unlock the trophy.

Black Market
You found all the smuggler’s dead drops.

Prey has 6 Smuggler’s Dead Drop Locations for the “Black Market” trophy / achievement. Finding all dead drops is part of side quest “Talos Smuggling Ring”.

They are safes hanging on walls, with a red circle on them and a red light above them. The Talos Smuggling Ring side mission starts by listening to the TranScribe of Lily Morris, found in the lobby of Arboretum.
You can still get all Smuggler Dead Drops before the point of no return. During main quest “Before I Give You The Key” you can free roam in all areas of Talos I and go back to find missing collectibles. You can also collect them while going through the story, it’s up to you.

You Rang?
You used the Psychotronics satellite to dismiss or summon the Typhon Nightmare.

For this you must buy 2-3 Typhon Powers to make a Nightmare enemy spawn. Then kill the Nightmare and wait 5-10 minutes (don’t move, just wait) until you get a call from January (assuming you didn’t kill him earlier). This triggers the side quest “Mixed Signals”.
Now complete this side quest. First you must head to the Hardware Labs and repair a console. It requires the “Repair III” ability (costs 13 Neuromods to unlock) and 8 Spare Parts. The rest of the quest is easy, just follow the waypoint markers to install a chip on a satellite in outer space. This unlocks two audio logs that you can play to attract/repel the Nightmare.

Head back inside (Hardware Labs or any other area), open inventory, go to Data – Audio Logs – Satellite Signal: Attract Nightmare. Playing this signal earns you the trophy!

Makeup Exam
You returned to the Simulation Lab and completed the tests in Rooms A, B, and C.

The test rooms are located in the area “Neuromod Division”. You go to there in the beginning of the game. However, it is not possible to earn this trophy until much later. You must keep playing the story until you unlock Typhon Powers. They are unlocked automatically during main mission “Detour”.
Now you must unlock and buy the following 3 Typhon Powers: Kinetic Blast I, Mimic Matter I, Remote Manipulation I. To unlock powers you must scan enemies with the Psychoscope (just scan every enemy you encounter).

Once you have those three skills unlocked, return to the test rooms from the start of the game. Later in the story you will go back to the Talos I Lobby and from there can head to the Neuromod Division (same way you took during main quest).
There’s a computer near the test rooms. Use the computer to reset the test. Now destroy the window to get into the room and do the following:

Room A = Use Kinetic Blast power on the canisters.
Room B = Use Mimic Matter power on the chair.
Room C = Use Remote Manipulation power on the blue button.

A Different Side of Yu
You scanned your Phantom Shift duplicate with the Psychoscope.

Buy the Typhon Power “Phantom Shift II” (if you have a scope chipset for faster scan you only need Phantom Shift I). Now equip your Psychoscope (press right controller stick), cast Phantom Shift, turn around and scan your phantom double. Using this skill creates a phantom shape of yourself that can be scanned for the trophy.

To unlock “Phantom Shift II” you must scan Etheric Phantom enemies. Etheric Phantoms are dark ghostly shapes walking on two legs, often encountered in the late game. Scan all enemies you come across to unlock the various Typhon Powers.

Coffee Break
You found Dr. Calvino’s secret stash.

The secret stash is located in the area “Hardware Labs” in the room called “Dr. Calvino’s Workshop”. You enter this room automatically during main mission “Through a Glass Darkly” and that’s the earliest you can go there.
Inside Calvino’s Workshop you can find an item called “Dr. Calvino’s Tumbler”. It’s on a big red toolbox. Pick it up and carry it to the opposite side of the room. It can be placed on a little radio console. Doing this opens the secret stash and unlocks the trophy / achievement.

One way to figure this out is by watching the second video tape on Calvino’s computer (the one you have to interact with as part of the main mission). During the video you can see where he places the tumbler.

Gift to the World
You found Gustaf Leitner’s Connectome for Dr. Igwe.
Reward for completing side mission “Gustav Leitner”.

During main mission “Before I Give You The Key” (after returning from Power Plant to Arboretum) you receive a call from Dr. Igwe, assuming you rescued him earlier (see trophy “Adrift” on how to rescue him). This triggers the side mission “Gustav Leitner”.

Dr. Igwe will ask you to go into his room in the Crew Quarters (room 104 Dr. Igwe). Play the audio log he sent you in front of the wall picture. Either hold down the Touchpad to play it, or go to Inventory > Data > Audio Logs > Leitner Music Sample. You must stand very close to the wall picture marked as the mission objective. After playing the audio it will open a safe behind the picture. Pci kup the Connectome and bring it back to Dr. Igwe to complete the mission and earn the trophy.

Even if you backup save, you’re going to have to play the majority of the game another time. Getting only Typhoon or Human abilities, and killing or not killing all humans. That’s like 90% of the game having to be replayed.

      Never in One Playtrough !!
You need to End the Game With Human MODs and the Next Try with Alien Mods.
The Best to run the Game of 4 Playthroughs and you dont have any Problem.

      Nope.

You can finish no needles, then reload last save and grab some human skils, then finish, then reload and grab some alien powers.

I’ve done it. Other people have done it too.

On the first playthrough? I’ve only seen people do it on the 2nd playthrough because they did half the Split Affinity requirements on first run (so for example 1st run Human Abilities, 2nd run No Needles, reload, Typhon Powers only).
I tried what you did on first playthrough and didn’t give me Split Affinity trophy.

I’m going for my third playthrough now i think you can do it in 2. First do it without Powers and then save before the end and keep 1 neuromod. After trophy reload save put in human/Typhon mod and finish then start new campaign with Human/Typhon(not on same safe file) and at then end it should pop, testing now. I’m counting on you PowerPyx for the collectibles :p but gonna try it myself because some are definitly missable collectibles

Exactly what I have in mind. But why do you need to start new campaign after reloading the save? Can we not just reload the same save again and put in different category to get the other trophy?
Thanks for your test, can’t wait for your result :D

For the achievement “escape in Alex’s pod” just follow the quest to do with December. You have to access Alex’s terminal to extend the bridge above his office, then grab his apartment key from the safe behind the LG screen/hatch. Head to his apartment in the executive suite and find escape pod key under a globe on his nightstand, it allows access to the pod above his office. Then save and escape as you get a game over screen once completed.

“the gates of hell” this is story based achievement but is fail able. Just before opening cargo bay B, find the 4 turrets in the area and position them in the loading bay in front of the door. Open and spam Nullifiers and shoot etc. Just save prior to opening door incase you fail.

For “you rang?”, you will get a side quest to go to the hardware labs and remove a comms device from a satellite. You must go to Talos exterior and attach it to a satellite. Once it’s attached you get 2 audio files, one is to summon a nightmare and the other is to dispel. Now go to psychotronics and proceed to the gravity chamber between Live exam and Material extraction. Once inside beside the 2 satellites, just play the summon audio log.

Technically, you can finish this game in two playthroughs. The first is where you be all goodie-goodie, save everybody and what not, and the second where you go ‘F*** you all* and kill everybody. I managed to complete the Split Affinity and No Needles on my second playthrough simply by keeping all the neuromods until the very and where you are literally at the very end where *Spoiler Removed just in case people care about that* and do a manual save. Here, you can do the No Needle, reload, Human Abilities, reload, and finally Typhon Abilities.

    Reply
    • PowerPyx says

      May 8, 2017 at 6:03 pm

So you are reloading the same save game twice and this gave you the trophy? Because I tried that for 3 hours last night and doesn’t work for me.
How did you do this exactly? Did you reload the same save every time, did you make a new manual save after buying a power, did you delete profile data…?

    • TheAussieMuffin says

      May 9, 2017 at 11:03 am

What I did was I saved just after entering the Talos 1 Bridge. At this point, I had used no neuromods. I did a manual save, then continued onward for the No Needle achievement. I just reloaded that save, used all the neuromods that I had acquired and proceeded to get the second half of the Split Affinity achievement.

Note: I did this on PC.

    • PowerPyx says

      May 9, 2017 at 8:14 pm

Ah okay, thanks for elaborating 🙂
If I understand correctly you had done half the Split Affinity requirements on first run (so for example Human Abilities in the first run, then No Needles 2nd run, reload + do Typhon Powers).

I’m currently testing it the other way around… on first playthrough I did No Needles, reloaded, bought 1 human ability, played the ending again. On 2nd run I’ll do Typhon only. So two playthroughs should suffice for those trophies.

    • Josh says

      May 10, 2017 at 5:46 pm

Did it work? I played first with both Human/Typh Ability’s.
2nd play thru I did no needles speed run. Saved On Bridge. Reloaded Save used Nueromods Human. Reloaded then used typh, Didnt pop for me.

My thoughts, so no needles,Human Ability’s. Playthru 3 killing everyone only typh Abilities and it should pop right?

    • TheAussieMuffin says

      May 12, 2017 at 6:14 am

Yeah, I have no Idea. I worked for me. So all I do is look at it as a 2-run game. First being the No Killing and the second being Kill Them All. By the end of the No Needle run, I had around 90 neuromods on me and used them all. There might be a per-requisite in place to prevent people doing what I did. Considering there are a fair few neuromods that the game practically hands you, you might have to surpass the certain limit for it to click over.

There is (was) an easier way to do the Split Affinity. Do the No Needle run all the way until the very end when you are heading up to make the ultimate decision but take a detour to your office in the Lobby. Once there, you could use the (now patched) infinite materials and create dozens of neuromods.

Also I would like to clarify just in case that this isn’t clear, I saved right after entering the Bridge before continuing on to the ultimate decision. This means I didn’t engage in any conversation with Alex or January at the terminal. Once I finished the ending, I waited until it takes you back to the menu itself, reloaded, then spammed the neuromods into Human/Typhon abilities.

Also, I did not put any neuromods into the Psionic Aptitude tree in the Science skill path. I thought that this would lead to partial-typhon upgrade path so I decided against upgrading it.

I’ll do more testing with Split Affinity tomorrow.
And Ball Lightning was very glitchy for me. I tried it in 3 different places on corrupted operators, friendly operators and military operators. Doing it on just 2 never unlocked the trophy. I tried for 3.5 hours and even reinstalled the game. It only popped when doing 5 at once. So if it doesn’t work for someone, just hit more operators in one burst and it should unlock.

For Awkward Ride Home you need to kill all crew members exept the doctor. When you finishd his quest with dahl and the doctor, kill the doctor. At the end in dahls shuttle look at the on board list. 0 crew members and you got the trophy after you sit down and the game ends.

For I and It you must kill all crew members exept sho (you can’t because of suicide.) Save the doctor until hes quest with dahl ends. kill both for the last 4 crew members ( Lobby It Room) to spawn. sadly its bugged for some reason.

    • JMR says

      May 9, 2017 at 7:59 pm

If this method really works, then you could probably also get all the collectibles during the first playthrough, assuming your first playthrough is with human skills. Then on the second playthrough you use this method for Split Affinity and No Needles and maybe also combine it with killing everyone for the I and It trophy? All that’s left would be to cleanup remaining trophies.

    Hey Powerpyx,
ist it possible do do it this way?
Step 1: Human Abilities Playthrough + Collectibles ,No Humans Killed, Finish in Most Empathetic Way (I and Thou Trophy), Do Side Quests
Step 2: Typhon Powers Playthrough + Kill Everyone
Step 3: Beat Story without Neuromods Speedrun

Because i find it kinda boring to do the very first playthrough without any Skills. At your first playthrough you want to try out things and have fun but get things out of the way too, so i was wondering is it possible this way i put it above or do things get in each others way?

    • PowerPyx says

However, I don’t think doing collectibles on first run is a good idea because of how confusing the level layout is. It’s quite overwhelming with 500 collectibles & side quests all in one playthrough. Comes down to personal preference I guess.

True, but buying 2-3 Typhon Powers will always make one spawn immediately. Without buying powers it’s really quite random and not a reliable way to trigger the quest when needed.

Just completed fourth separate campaign file. Still no Split Affinity. Here’s my files.

      Campaign 1: No Needles
      Campaign 2: Human Only
      Campaign 3: Typhon Only
      Campaign 4: Human Only

Seriously what is going on here? Any ideas?

      Please help.

Hey, I think you can update the difficult for the platinum, since the game now have a Story mode. Personally I would give 2/10 to the difficulty at this point. It’s more time consuming.

Hope you still get notified about these Pyx.

I don’t want to play on easy with no skills on my blind run, as it will ruin it, so I was thinking of this:

    Step 1:

    – Human Abilities Playthrough
    – Collectibles
    – No Humans Killed
    – I and Thou Trophy
    – Side Quests

    Step 2:

    – No Needles
    – Kill Everyone

    Step 3:

    – Reload the Step 2 No Needles save and unlock Typhon powers for Split Affinity.

Will that be fine or have I missed something?
