Hurdle is the second subquest in Prologue: Act 3, Song of the Dragon and Freedom, an Archon Quest in Genshin Impact. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Hurdle Archon Subquest.
Hurdle is unlocked automatically when you finish the subquest Abyss Mage.

Mission Description: Take down the barriers around Stormterror’s Lair
Objectives:
- Go to the entrance of Stormterror’s lair
- Defeat the assailants
- Disperse the barrier
Starting Location: Windwail Highland
This quest begins automatically after completing Abyss Mage.
Go to the entrance of Stormterror’s Lair
From the Teleport Waypoint, head north on the path through the mountain pass.
It’s a bit of a walk, and the map will not show you the path at this point. Thankfully, the path through the mountain pass is linear with no branching paths.
Eventually, you reach a barrier blocking your path.
Approach it to start a cutscene. A Mitachurl and a couple Hilichurls attack you.
Defeat the assailants
Defeat the Mitachurl and Hilichurls to prompt a conversation.
Disperse the barrier
After speculating the behavior of the Mitachurl and Hilichurls, Venti takes down the barrier to Stormterror’s Lair.
The Hurtle subquest completes at the end of the conversation.
