Lies and Promises is a World Quest in Genshin Impact. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Lies and Promises World Quest.
Lies and Promises begins when you interact with the Strange Yumkasaurus.
Region: Natlan
Area: Teticpac Peak
Quest Giver: Strange Yumkasaurus
Requirement: Reach Natlan
Recommended Level: 35
Reward: 150 Adventure EXP, 20 Primogems, 25,000 Mora; *If you are Adventure Rank 60, you do not get Adventure EXP. Instead, you receive 1,500 extra Mora
Mission Description: Find a way to get the treasure that the Strange Yumkasaurus guards.
Objectives:
- Find a way to communicate with the Yumkasaur
- Feed the Yumkasaurus
- Try talking to the Yumkasaurus
- Get your Saurian companion to take away the treasure chest
Starting Location: Teticpac Peak
Use the Teleport Waypoint in Scions of the Canopy.
Run easterly down the wood bridge and interact with the Yumkasaur Spiritsconce.
Look at the narrow ledges that lead up just west of you. While as a Yumkasaur, you automatically run up a wall when you approach a wall. You can run up until you stop, then jump and continue running. Doing this will get you to the top of the second narrow cliff.
This next part is a bit tricky, so feel free to read ahead a little bit. Look up and northeast along the mountain face to see a U-shaped ledge. Hold R2 to aim into the gap of the U-shaped ledge.
Then let go so you go airborne. While mid-air, click R2 the moment you see the Coilgrass Sigil glow. You get pulled up to the sigil, creating a temporary ledge.
Once there, turn southwest to see a Coilgrass Sigil even to your level. Use it.
A second one right around the corner appears. Use that one as well.
Head into the cave. Then go left.
When you near the path that ramps up, look to the left to see a Yumkasaur sitting on its own.
Interact with the Strange Yumkasaur to begin the quest.
You learn that this Yumkasaur is blocking the path to a treasure, but you can’t communicate properly with the creature.
Find a way to communicate with the Yumkasaurus
Here, you need to embody a Yumkasaur. Since you already have one, just talk to the Strange Yumkasaurus again.
Feed the Yumkasaurus
The favorite food for Yumkasaurs is Raw Meat. Interact with the Strange Yumkasaurus again and give it a Raw Meat.
After it eats, it falls fast asleep.
Try talking to the Yumkasaurus
If you talk to the Strange Yumkasaurus one time, nothing happens. Talk to it a second time to start a conversation.
Get your Saurian companion to take away the treasure chest
Turn left to your Saurian companion and interact with it.
It tunnels underneath the Strange Yumkasaurus and brings the chest back out for you to open.
There’s only a note in the chest.
You then automatically go talk to Wayna, the chief of the Scions of the Canopy. He comes back with you.
Complete the cutscene to finish the Lies and Promises World Quest.
