Hell is Us Legend of the Phol (All Timeloops) Guide

September 5, 2025 by Gage 16 Comments

Hell is Us includes 14 Timeloops that need to be closed for the trophies/achievements End the Suffering and Legend of the Phol.

Timeloops are the black domes that you can find throughout the game world and are the source of the Hollows that appear throughout the game. Closing them requires defeating all Timeloop Guardians that appear in the area the Timeloop is associated with, then entering the Timeloop and using the correct Amine Prism to collapse it. You receive the Guardian Detector from Gildas Brom in Vyssa Hills during the story which when used points toward the location of the Timeloop Guardians.

To earn Legend of the Phol you also need to also defeat all remaining Hollows in the area, as they don’t respawn once the Timeloop in the area they are related to is collapsed. Unfortunately there isn’t a way to find remaining enemies without manually searching, but you can tell that an area has no more enemies when you have the Threats: Clear text displaying it on the APC map menu.

For locations with multiple levels of enemy threats (Senedra Forest, Vyssa Hills) the map will also display the level of present threats there, so you can use that in those area to tell if you’re missing enemies in one of the areas. For example Senedra Forest showing level I threats means it’s an enemy in the initial forest/underground area from the start of the game, but level III threat means its an enemy in Arcas Spire.

None of the Timeloops are missable, so can all be dealt with after the story.

If you want to deal with all Timeloops as you progress you can follow the Hell is Us Collectible Walkthrough and you’ll get all trophies in 1 playthrough. It includes all trophies, collectibles, missables, and explains how to advance the story objectives.

Timeloops

Timeloops are listed in the order that they appear in the Exploration – Timeloops menu. They will list their associated Amine Prism that is required to close them. You can pick up Amine Prisms in the environment, and if you find all of them you end up with three extra Theta and four extra Rho Prisms. You can get enough Prisms to close all Timeloops with the ones in the main story path, along with completing all Good Deeds and getting the rewards from Gildas, solving all Mysteries, and opening all Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge so if you are missing one while cleaning up post story make sure you’ve completed all these and received their rewards.

Below each Timeloop are listed some problem areas to check if you are missing enemies to clear an area.

This trophy is driving me crazy. How am I supoto know what enemy I haven’t killed in each area? I roamed in the marches for 40 minutes, came back to the APC and it still wasn’t cleared. I have no idea we’re enemies could be left in each area.

Same!! I was running to every corner of the map to look for the last one. I spotted a few areas where they come out of the water so don’t forget to check those. I found my last one in the sewers near the crying baby.

Same here… every timeloop closure should kill every remaining entity. This part of the trophy is completely ruining this plat 🙁

For Acasa marshes check all of the puddles of water , there are two or three areas where the enemies are hiding under the water. Once I found these it popped for me. Yes very aggravating. It took me 2 hours just to clear marshes.

The last timeloop before ending story doesn’t count toward the trophy for closing all timeloops?, and it doesn’t have any reward either??

i have the same problem. i ran through linear level, there are no more enemies, but still, thread is not cleared. Plain Myst is bugged, because, one moment it shows it was cleared on APC, the next moment it isn’t.
went through all Vyssa, no more enemies anywhere. still not cleared.

i wish, that scanner type of thing should have showed all enemies alive, not just timeloop guardians.

Yes, Plains of Mist appears to be bugged. If you hover the cursor over a different area in the map, then go to Plains of Mist in the map, it’ll show the same threat level that was on the previous area. Example: I hover the cursor over Jeljin, which is Clear, then go to Plains of Mist, and it shows as Clear. However, if I hover the cursor over Acasa Marshes, which has Threats: II, then go back to Plains of Mist, it now shows Threats: II as well.

Hopefully, that’s fixed soon, because it is very annoying. Also, closing the timeloop should kill every enemy affected by it, it’s weird that it doesn’t.

I had uncleared Plains of Mist and Vyssa Hills. I then cleared out Vyssa Hills from enemies to then have Plains of Mist show as cleared just out of the blue.

Unfortunately, I still have most of the areas uncleared; I think I was pretty thorough in my playthrough, and that there are some areas that just appear to be super bugged for this trophy.

For example, some enemies, that don’t show up in one go through an area, see Senedra Forest for example, will show up when you go to a different area and come back later: there is one lymbic being in the area near the trenches, just next to the hilltop, that seems like it doesn’t load every now and then.

I get that clearing areas out may be difficult and worthwhile on one hand, but once the game is cleared, just give the players some item to go through each area and get rid of the enemies that need to get ridden of. I don’t think there’s much excitement in going through each mazed dungeon, without any markers, from top to bottom, and bugged enemy loads.

One thing that helps was the threat level changes if you eliminate all the enemies of that level. So I know for a fact I killed all the Level 1 enemies and don’t have to inspect the earlier areas of the game. Helps narrow the search, kind of.

I am missing only the Senedra Forest says there is a level 3 enemy. Checked the tower been everywhere can’t see an enemy. This is such a stupid trophy!

    :
Hi, I’m playing Hell is Us on PS5 and the Legend of the Phol trophy won’t unlock.

I have completed all 14 Timeloops, collapsed them with the correct Prisms, and killed every enemy in each region.

On the APC map, every area shows Threats: Clear.

I already tried restarting the game/console, reloading areas, and exploring hidden spots (underwater, caves, tunnels).

My game is fully updated to the latest patch.

Despite all this, the trophy never pops. Looks like a tracking bug.
Is this a known issue, and is there any workaround or upcoming fix?

    Thanks
