Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 contains 6 endings. Achieving the 6 endings unlocks one of the following trophies / achievements:
- A City in Flames
– Finish the game with the I.A.O. attacking Seattle. - A City of Anarchy
– Finish the game with Katsumi in charge of Seattle. - A City Most Fabulous
– Finish the game with Tolly in charge of Seattle. - A City Restored
– Finish the game with Lou in charge of Seattle. - A City Unchained
– Finish the game with Phyre in charge of Seattle. - A City of Kinship
– Finish the game with an agreeable companion.
Endings in Bloodlines 2 seem to be largely dependent on your interactions with characters throughout the game, whether you are positive or hostile toward them during the dialogue interactions throughout the game. The story always progresses the same way regardless of your choices outside of the specific interaction that will lock you into the I.A.O. ending, so you need to pay attention to the dialogue options you are selecting and who you are speaking to.
Ending 1: A City in Flames
This corresponds to the game’s “bad” ending, and is only dependent on a single choice during the story.
During the mission We Don’t Do Ghost Stories you meet Agent Baker and have the option to either turn Baker into a vampire or kill Baker. To get the I.A.O ending you must kill Agent Baker, which seems to lock you into this ending regardless of any other choices made, and results in the I.A.O. continuing to attack Seattle during the ending.
Ending 2: A City of Anarchy
This ending results in Katsumi being in charge of the city at the end of the game, and largely revolves around acting positively toward her throughout the game while being neutral or hostile to the other court vampires. As long as you stay largely positive to Katsumi throughout the game you should receive this ending regardless of other choices.
Notable possible interactions:
- A Star of Cold Aspect – Give Benny to Katsumi/Ryong (doesn’t specifically matter)
- Turning Down the Heat – Send Max to Katsumi
- A Plaything Discarded – Be positive to Max and Katsumi
- We Don’t Do Ghost Stories – Bite Agent Baker
- Putting Out the Trash – Tell Baker “Lead them out of Seattle”
- The Coursing of the Rats – Be positive to Kastumi and Damsel
Ending 3: A City Most Fabulous
This ending results in Tolly being in charge of the city at the end of the game, and results from removing other possible options then confirming in dialogue options at the end of the game that you won’t stay in Seattle, leaving Tolly the only one left to take charge.
Notable possible interactions:
- In Chains of Lead and Gold – Be positive toward Lou
- The Fires of Industry – Be hostile toward Ryong
- A Star of Cold Aspect – Be hostile to Katsumi, return Benny to Ryong
- Taste of Description – Be positive toward Lou
- Turning Down the Heat – Be hostile to Katsumi, don’t send Max to Katsumi
- Tome Alone – Be positive toward Lou
- A Plaything Discarded – Be hostile to Max and Katsumi
- The Pathways of Hesperidies – Be positive toward Lou
- We Don’t Do Ghost Stories – Bite Agent Baker, tell Ryong about Baker
- Dish of the Day – Be positive to Lou, send Verona to Lou
- Putting Out the Trash – Tell Baker “They will destroy the Anarchs”, tell Ryong you’ll leave Seattle
- A Kiss from Prospero – Tell Fabien “This place is a prison”, be hostile to Lou, be hostile to Ryong
- The Coursing of the Rats – Tell Tolly “This place is your problem”, tell Max “Ask Tolly for help”, tell Katsumi “We can take Lou together”, be positive to Damsel
Ending 4: A City Restored
This ending results in Lou being in charge of the city at the end of the game, and results acting positively toward Lou throughout the game while being hostile to everyone else.
- We Don’t Do Ghost Stories – Bite Agent Baker
- Dish of the Day – Be positive to Lou, send Verona to Lou
- Putting Out the Trash – Tell Baker “Lead them out of Seattle”, tell Ryong you’ll stay in Seattle
- A Kiss from Prospero – Be positive to Lou, be hostile to Ryong
- The Coursing of the Rats – Tell Tolly you’ll stay, destroy Katsumi, be hostile to Damsel
Ending 5: A City Unchained
This ending results in Phyre staying and being in charge of Seattle. To do this you must act negatively toward most characters except Tolly, while telling Tolly and Fabien that you want to stay in Seattle and be Prince, along with using the I.A.O. to target Katsumi. Most other options can be done the same as during the Lou ending up until the choice with Baker during Putting Out the Trash.

- A Kiss from Prospero – Tell Fabien “(Serious) I will be Prince”, be hostile to Lou, be hostile to Ryong
- The Coursing of the Rats – Tell Tolly you’ll stay, be postive to Max, tell Katsumi “We can take Lou together”, be positive to Damsel
Ending 6: A City of Kinship
This ending results in Phyre leaving the city while one of the Clan contacts takes over as Prince. To do this you need to complete the side quest chain for the Clan contacts, then go through all of their dialogue with positive interacts to receive a dialogue suggesting they could take over as Prince.
Currently Silky, Fletcher, and Mrs. Thorn seem to be able to have this option, but only Mrs. Thorn is confirmed to work. You need to complete her quest each time one is available, then after the final one available before you start The Coursing of the Rats make sure you’ve gone through all of her dialogue, getting positive reactions as much as possible (basically complement her every time). Then you will be able to suggest she take over as Prince, then confirm that you think she should. You don’t need to flirt with her to accomplish this.
The choices during the story can be the exact same as those required for the Tolly ending: Be hostile toward Lou, drive out the Anarchs with the I.A.O., and tell Fabien that you will leave the city.

– Finish the game with the I.A.O. attacking Seattle.

There are more endings than these and some are tied to the side quests. Mrs Thorn, Silky and Fletcher have their endings too
Gage says
Are those actual complete endings or just scenes in the final set of cutscenes? I had wondered if there was something related to them and if that was what might be required for the A City of Kinship trophy.
Ringo says
I didn’t get the city of kinship, even though the ending dialogue was positive. and gliding 1000 meters was bugged for me. Got stuck at 41 percent. Also there is a glitch that doesn’t regester breaking blocks with heavy attack. I finished with 7 but I know I did waaaay more than that
Martin says
I also couldn’t get city of kinship and ended up getting the Tolly ending instead. The only thing different I did was during Coursing of the Rats I didn’t have the option to tell Tolly “This place is your problem”. Any idea what I did wrong here.
Angela says
I got stuck at 23% for the gliding one. Really annoying..
Andrei says
I have the same problem as Martin’s. No Tolly’s last dialogue selection. I replayed the game 3 times from Seattle’s New Prince mission trying to get “A city Unchained” or “A city of Kinship” ending, but every time I got Tolly’s Ending 🙁
Nanaki says
Hello.
There is a guide on the steam forum for the City of Kinship ending
Gage says
Awesome that was it, thank you :D
Velisatra says
Hm. Seems Onda isn’t a valid trainer to do the City of Kinship. Even doing her quest every time, exclusively positive interactions, and even the romance thing at every opportunity. The option simply never comes up. Shame. A dominatrix as Prince would’ve been cool.
Gage says
Yeah I believe her and Patience likely don’t have an option since they were originally sort of DLC related, but I couldn’t get the dialogue with Niko so maybe they only intended for it to be Silky, Fletcher, and Mrs. Thorn.
Cheyenesku says
Regarding City Unchained ending:
– I was positive to everyone, unless someone was behaving out of hand (Lou in two instances xD)
– I’ve sent IAO away from Seattle
– I’ve never told Fabien I want to be Prince, but I’ve told him, Tolly and Ryong I want to stay in Seattle
– I’ve told Katsumi to leave, was positive to Max and wasnt positive towards Damsel
And I still got that ending. Which is kinda awesome, cause after Lou revelations and her getting power back from better Prince that was Ryong I wished I went back and said I want to be a Prince :D I think its more to which ending you get than what all the guised describe
Gage says
Yeah from replaying while trying to find the Kinship ending I realized that for the Phyre ending Tolly basically forces it on your if you’re still in the city and neither Lou or Katsumi are options even if you didn’t say you wanted to be Prince.
Bulldozer says
Can confirm this worked. I did the same choices as this post said except irritating Lou quite a lot but still got the Phyre ending. Apart from that, I finished all side quests and all the optional dialogues. Being nice to Tolly is also an essential move I suppose, only then he will ask your intention when you meet at Hole in the wall bar.
Charlie_Mike says
I’ve got A City of Kinship ending with Silky as a new Prince, so the guide is working.
Didn’t find his hairy friend in some Schmitz park, though. I wonder if it even was an option.
Hunter says
Did you follow the guide exactly? Because I did and I got the Tully ending for some reason. And I really wanted the kinship end with silky as the new prince
Macleod says
Tried for the Tolly ending got the anarchy one instead.
Any notable interaction?
Strangely the answers you mentioned starting from Putting out the trash, a kiss from Prospero and coursing rats there wasn’t there for me.
Councilscribe says
I got the City of Kinship ending with Mrs. Thorn.
V says
I just finished with the City Of Kinship putting Silky in charge. I had all positive interactions + romance dialogue options with him and completed his quests, talking to him after every quest until we had a conversation he could be a prince, if needed.
Jetli says
Question can you get all ending from the “We Don’t Do Ghost Stories”, depends on if you bite now Baker or not and then just do the necessary dialogues?
Gage says
I believe you might be able to and most prior choices don’t really matter, but I didn’t do extensive testing to confirm if they could all be done from that point regardless of prior choices since you need to do 6 full playthroughs to earn all trophies.
Rocky_balboa83 says
Ending 5: A City Unchained – It took me 2 more playthroughs to realise that to be able to get the dialog option with Tolly to stay in the Seattle during the Coursing of the rats task, you need to be kind to him whole current game… Now gonna play this game 8 instead of “only” 6 times… And ofc Frequent flyer glitched at 61%

After the latest patch, combat trophies seem to be tracking properly again. Finally got trophy for Elder charging and break 20 enemy blocks with heavy attacks is finally tracking again. Gliding for 1000 meters seems to still be broken. Even though the trophy for gliding 75meters in one go isnt. Really hope when Chinese Room finally patches its based on all playthrus and autopops whenever you boot up the game next.
