Arknights Endfield Tainted Waters Walkthrough

Tainted Waters is a Side Mission in Arknights Endfield. This walkthrough will guide you through all the objectives of the Tainted Waters Side Mission.

Starting Location: Wuling > Wuling City
Quest Giver: Jing Hong
Requirement: Complete the 35th Main Mission- Of Grace and Gentle Might
Reward: 50 Oroberyl, 4,050 T-Creds, 5 Elementary Cognitive Carrier, 1 Protohedron, 9 Arms INSP Kits, and 200 EXP.
Quest Description: Ask Jing Hong about the disturbance in the waterways.

Talk to Li Heng
Investigate the canal near Fangxing Avenue
Lower the water level with the control valve
Investigate the strange device
Use the water level control valve again
Investigate the second device
Investigate the canal near the Tianshi Bureau Academy
Pick up the strange device
Hand the device to Li Heng
Head to the canal east of HS.Swords
Lower the water level with the control valve
Set up the first device

Starting Location: Tainted Waters

Ask Jing Hong about the disturbances in the waterways

You can start this quest after finishing the 35th Main Mission – Of Grace and Gentle Might. Speak with Jing, who is hunched over in fear, south of Fangxing Avenue.

Talk to Li Heng

South of Jing is Li Heng. Speak with him.

Investigate the canal near Fangxing Avenue.

Li Heng sends you to investigate the canal west of your location.

Lower the water level with the control valve

Approach the control valve and activate it to lower the water level.

Investigate the strange device

Go down and jump on the water lilies. Stand on the pressure plate to move the platform until you can reach the strange device.

Jump across the water lilies and over to the strange device.

Use the water level control valve again

Head back up to the control valve and use it again to lower the water level a second time.

Investigate the second device

Drop down to the water lilies and jump across to the second device.

Investigate the canal near the Tianshi Bureau Academy

Head back up to the top level, then head southwest to the next canal and activate the control valve.

Pick up the strange device

Go down the path to the north on the right side of the control valve, then step on the pressure plate to move the platforms until they are positioned as in the screenshot. Then jump your way to the device and pick it up.

Hand the device to Li Heng

Return to where you first spoke with Li Heng and inform him of what you found.

Head to the canal east of HS.Swords

Head far north to the next canal and step on the pressure plate to move the platforms over so you can reach the other side.

Lower the water level with the control valve

On the other side, use the control valve to lower the water level.

Go north and step on the pressure plate so the two platforms are aligned in the center, allowing you to jump onto them and reach the northeast side.

Set up the first device

On the other hand, use the control valve to lower the water further.

Go to the right, then use the rope to descend.

You’ll find another pressure plate. Stand on it to move the two platforms, so they make a jumping path to where you will place the device.

Set up the second device

Go back to where the pressure plate was and jump to the next platform, where you’ll find two destructible boxes.

Grab the crate inside, move it, and place it on the pressure plate to activate the platform and keep it moving. Jump on it and let it move you to the other side.

From there, step on the next pressure plate to lower the platform across from it. Jump on that platform and over to reach the next area, where you’ll find another movable crate. Open the gate in this area, grab the movable crate, and place it on the pressure plate to keep the platform across from you moving up and down.
