Beast of Reincarnation contains 25 Cook Book / Crop Book locations (Kagura Recipes). Collecting all Books is required for the trophy/achievement Gourmand. Cook Books are found by interacting with specific books in the environment, along with two that are obtained from increasing Rapport with Kagura.
Nothing is missable, you can still find everything after the story in free-roam before entering New Game+.
Cook Books typically have 3 levels in Kagura’s menu (Normal, Superior, Ultimate) but only the most basic version of the Cook Book is collected and required for Gourmand. The research unlock and higher levels obtained through Kagura’s research aren’t required for the trophy.
When you are near a Cook Book it will be marked on the map with a “BOOK” icon, which will disappear after you have picked up the Cook Book. Recollecting books in NG+ awards Amber instead of the book.

This recipe is available from the start of the game once you gain access to Kagura’s cooking mechanics. NOTE the normal version of this recipe seems to disappear at some point, but will still have a Superior and Ultimate version farther down the recipe list.

Northeast of Tailwater Village campsite, on a table to the right of the Golem that gave the yellow key.

South of Raging River campsite, after activating both generators to open the shutter, the book is on a shelf to the right in the next room.

From the start of the area, walk forward to the platforms with the first group of enemies on the right. This is inside the building on the first level.

From the start of the area, follow the road northeast and in the hut on the east side of the road just before the campsite.
Cook Book #23: Strawberry Sandwich – Inukami River Zone
From the start of the area, go southeast to the room where Gigi is located, and this is on the table to her left.
Cook Book #24: Supreme Curry
This recipe is obtained from a scene in the Cleanse Walker when you interact with Kagura after reaching Rapport level 8.
Cook Book #25: Supreme Onigiri
This recipe is obtained from a scene in the Cleanse Walker when you interact with Kagura after reaching Rapport level 10.
