The Central Resonant is the 2nd main mission in the Defeating Resonants questline in Control Resonant. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Central Resonant main quest.
- Main Story: Defeating Resonants
- Starting Location: Central Zone > Patterned Factory
- Requirement: Inspect the “eye” icon on the pipes on the south wall of the Patterned Factory in Central Zone
- Reward: 2 x Abilities: Ignite & Inferno, Artifact: Untapped Lighter, 1 x Reset Item, 3000 x Source
- Quest Description: Strange steam is coming from a factory in Central. It looks Patterned. Could it lead me to another Resonant?
Objectives:
- Investigate the Steam Coming From the Factory in Central
- Follow the Scorch Marks and Deal with the Steam
- Kill the Resonant in the Factory
Starting Location: The Central Resonant Quest
In the north of Central Zone, go where it shows the text “Patterned Factory” on the map. On the south side of the factory, you will see an “eye” icon on the pipes, press L1/LB to inspect it. This will start the quest if you haven’t already obtained it elsewhere.
Investigate the Steam Coming From the Factory in Central
Climb up the platforms on the east side of the Patterned Factory to reach the roof.
On the roof destroy the wooden door and go inside.
Clear out the enemies in the factory and then use the elevator.
Follow the Scorch Marks and Deal with the Steam
Follow the underground path until you reach a corridor with flames. You can run through the flames (to avoid damage you can temporarily turn on Assist Mode > Immortality and turn it off again afterward).
Kill the Resonant in the Factory
Defeat the boss and then use the button prompt to finish it off. Afterward you can pick from two Abilities Ignite & Inferno, but you can change these anytime later in The Gap by interacting with the Mural.
This finishes The Central Resonant in Control Resonant.
