Avatar Frontiers of Pandora All Recon Retrieval Locations (Data Collector)

There are 9 Recon Retrieval Locations in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora (called Data Collectors in-game). Finding all Recon Retrieval collectibles unlocks the Data Retriever trophy & achievement.

Important: On the in-game map they are called “Data Collector“. Only in the trophy/achievement list they are called “Recon Retrievals“. Recon Retrieval = Data Collector, they are the same thing, just named differently between the trophy list and in-game map.

When unfogging the map they get marked on the map. The ones you haven’t discovered have purple icons, the ones you discovered have blue icons, and the ones you completed have green icons. None of them are missable, you can still find all of them after the story in free-roam.

At their location use the Hacking Tool (L1 + Triangle / LB + Y) and scan the station terminal with L2+R2 / LT+RT. Then you must find 3-4 antennas within roughly 30-meter radius around the station terminal. They are all nearby and emit a distinct ‘electrical’ sound that gets louder the closer you get. Scan each antenna to get a ‘Lost Item’ as a reward. There will be a tracker for each area in the top left corner that shows how many antennas there are to scan. Don’t leave the area until you scanned them all. They tend to be on cliffs or behind rocks, just walk around, turn up the volume and listen for their sound. Again, all antennas are within a few meters so you don’t have to walk far.

Completing all Data Collectors also finishes the side quest “System Reboot”. After doing all of these talk to Alexander at the Resistance HQ to finish the quest.
