Black Myth Wukong has a Secret Ending / True Ending. It leads to fighting the secret endboss Erlang the Sacred Divinity. To unlock the Secret Ending you must have defeated the 4 bosses from the Secret Areas and also finished the Treasure Hunter’s Side Quest. The Secret Areas are in Chapter 1, 2, 4, 5 and the Treasure Hunter Quest is in Chapter 3.
Secret Ending Unlock Requirements (can be done in any order):
- Finish Chapter 1 Secret Area (beat “Elder Jinchi” boss)
- Finish Chapter 2 Secret Area (beat “Fuban” boss)
- Finish Chapter 4 Secret Area (beat “Duskveil” boss)
- Finish Chapter 5 Secret Area (beat “Bishui Golden-Eyed Beast” boss)
- Finish Chapter 3 Treasure Hunter Questline
Now go to Chapter 3 > Pagoda Realm > Snow-Veiled Trail. When standing in front of the shrine turn left and go down the slope across a wooden bridge, then follow the path to the end. It leads to a big hall called “The Great Pagoda”. Go upstairs to find the little monk NPC who was at the end of the Treasure Hunter Questline. It will trigger a cutscene and he then lets you in the Chapter 3 Secret Area “Mount Mei“. Follow the linear path in this area to reach the secret endboss Erlang the Sacred Divinity.
He is the hardest boss in the game. You should have finished Chapter 6 once to get the best armor/weapon in the game from the story. This makes the fight much easier.
Secret Ending
After defeating Erlang the Sacred Divinity in Mount Mei, you will fight the Four Heavenly Kings and then the true endboss Erlang Shen. This also unlocks the 
Meet the Match trophy & achievement.
In order to unlock the Journal Character entry for Yuan Shoucheng, you will need to beat the Chapter 6 endboss again (The Great Sage’s Broken Shell) and enter New Game+.

Like beating the game (completing Chapter 6), then choosing Continue, going and beating Erlang, and then beating the final boss from Chapter 6 again?

Correct. Can do regular ending first. Then beat Secret Erlang in Chapter 3.

Just to clarify, you don’t have to beat the final boss twice. If you decide to beat the final boss first and then go for the secret boss it will work just fine. Just need to start NG+ from the menu screen and the final entry will unlock.

So I just am about finished with Chapter 6 and have acquired the Mythical weapon and matching Amour set. Erlang and the last boss are my last 2 bosses, which one do I have to defeat first in order to acquire the secret ending? Beat Erlang then last boss or vice versa?

if you beat erlang then the final boss you get the secret ending, if you just do the final it’s the normal ending. I’d recommend doing the normal first so you can continue and go back for erlang and then refinish for the secret ending

Just finished the game. To get all the endings you can do The Great Sage fight first thus getting the first(Bad) ending. This will put u in the main menu.(If you don’t see the option to “Continue the journey” then load a save. Now do the Secret ending. Now u played through both endings on one character/playthrough.

after beating great sage and then erlang, how can I fight great sage again to unlock secret ending? I have visited all shrines in chapter 6 but not able to find that spot anywhere

Nevermind found it, have to go forward from innocence shrine and then touch the rock again
