Missing: Jamal is a Lost and Found Quest in Dead Island 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Missing: Jamal Lost and Found mission.
Starting Location: Ocean Avenue
Counts Towards Quest Completion in Region: Ocean Avenue
Requirement: Advance the story in Ocean Avenue area, then the missing person letters get marked on the map by a red icon
Reward: 1500 XP
Mission Info: Jamal was reported missing, near the Halperin Hotel. Despite going out on his own terms, he did turn into a zombie. Put him to rest.
Objectives:
- Where in Hell-A is Jamal?
- Sniff out clues to Jamal’s whereabouts at the security guard huts
- Jamal drove off in his pickup truck. Follow him.
- Take down the zombies around Jamal’s truck
- A key! Check Jamal’s truck
Starting Location: Missing: Jamal
Jamal’s Missing Person quest starts in Ocean Avenue. Pick up the letters from the wall near the fast travel map. These get marked by a red icon after advancing the story far enough.
Where in Hell-A is Jamal?
Fast travel to Halperin Hotel to update the objective. As soon as you arrive, there will be a red quest marker on the map. You can go down the stairs from where you spawn in the fast travel room to get outside. When tracking the quest it will show waypoints.
Sniff out clues to Jamal’s whereabouts at the security guard huts
Go to the yellow search area outside Halperin Hotel. There are two guard huts, each containing 1 journal you must collect.
Guard Hut #1:
The first hut is in the north of the search area. Shoot the fuse box on the outside and inside through the window to open the door. Go inside, pick up Journal: Employee Vehicle Register.
Guard Hut #2:
This is in the southwest corner of the search area. Same as before, shoot the fuse box on the outside and inside through the window. Go inside, pick up Journal: Our Fellow Security Guard.
Jamal drove off in his pickup truck. Follow him.
From the journals you learn where Jamal went. You will automatically get a new red map marker in the east of Halperin Hotel area. Go there.
Take down the zombies around Jamal’s truck
Once you arrive at the marked location, there will be a bunch of zombies. Defeat all of them. One of them is Jamal (has name above his head). Be sure to loot the key he drops.
A key! Check Jamal’s truck
Use Jamal’s key on the blue box, on the back of his red pickup truck. It’s in the same flooded area where you fought Jamal and the other zombies.
This finishes Missing: Jamal Lost and Found quest in Dead Island 2.
