The Headless Riders are an optional boss encounter in Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. Defeating this boss requires interacting with the optional facility “The Ghost Hunter“, and is required to start making deliveries to them and increase their connection level, along with awarding the following trophy:
- The Headless Riders Unmasked
– Solve the riddle of the headless riders.
Solving the Riddle of the Headless Riders
To solve the riddle of the headless riders, you must first gain access to “The Ghost Hunter” optional facility. This is first done by picking up Sub Order 109 from “The Chronobiologist“, then Sub Order 110 from “The Ghost Hunter” which becomes available after completing Sub Order 109.
Sub Order 110 requires you to go to a location east of The Ghost Hunter at night with a Tri-Cruiser. There are typically a couple Tri-Cruisers left here by other players, if not you can bring your own from East Fort Knot. If you came here not at night you can rest on the ground by holding 
and then sleep to advance time. Once it is night time and you are riding a Tri-Cruiser, drive into the marked area where you can see an Auto-Paver lit up with red lights.
When you approach, you will be automatically transported onto a floating section of road, and will start to be attacked by Ghost Mech bikes.
You need to drive around the road while shooting the bikes as they attack you. After defeating a bunch, a “boss bike” will appear, which has much higher health. Defeat it and then any remaining weaker bikes to earn the trophy The Headless Riders Unmasked 
. Remember to return to The Ghost Hunter after to turn in the Sub Order, which then allows you to continue raising their connection level.
