From the trophies we know the story consists of 16 episodes. There aren’t any collectibles required for trophies. Many trophies are for doing something for the first time, which will come naturally. There are also a couple of trophies for figuring out the secrets about the Pizza Chef, Lord of Tar Lake, Headless Riders, Ghost Hunter, and Golden Chiral Creature.
There’s mention of online trophies, for example placing an online aid request sign for the first time.
For completion we need to connect all facilities, maximize connection rating with all facilities, reach Porter Grade 40+ in all categories, get S Rank on 10 deliveries + 10 recoveries + 10 elimination or destruction orders on “Casual” difficulty or above. This is the only trophy that has a difficulty requirement, everything else can be done on any difficulty.
Overall it seems like an easy platinum with a similar setup to Death Stranding 1. The main time consumption will be finishing the story and maximizing the connection with all facilities along with Porter Grade 40 in every category.

Looks similar to DS1 for sure. That platinum took me ~80 hours, could be in for a similar sort of length in DS2.
Sherlock says
But the game is said to have more than double the size. platinum should take longer too
Cybermonk39 says
a very nice trophy list that gives us time to appreciate Hideo Kojima’s work!
Ed says
No collectibles is an absolute godsend! Still having trouble platinuming DS1 because of it.

Looks like mostly similar trophies to Death Stranding 1, which took me over 100 hours to earn the Platinum trophy, which was fine by me because I loved the game. I assume that online trophy is simple and easy, because you probably just have to send out a random online request, which then gives you the trophy (Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a similar trophy which I earned this year). No collectibles trophy is good, since it felt like a waste of time finding all those memory chips in the first game. Maybe hard difficulty is required again for specific deliveries to earn the highest rank, but that was trivial last time because most of the game can be played on any difficulty.
Snake2410 says
I wouldn’t be surprised if S ranks are related to difficulty much like Legend of Legends was in DS1. Either way, it probably won’t be a tough platinum, just grindy.
Tom says
S-Rank trophy seems to be the hardest one after taking a glance. Doesn’t look overly hard though. Like you said, similar setup to the first game.
DSSVo says
A Private Show!
Watch a live performance in your private room.
Anyone knows what’s this?
R4Z0R says
Are there any infos on missable trophies yet? On first sight it looks like there won’t be any, which would be great if true.
Fori says
Looks very easy .. i will try to finish the platinium before it will be released as i pre-order the collector’s edition like i did for DS1.
Kira says
Hey powerpyx will the trophy guide be up for people who get to play the game on tuesday?
Nisata86 says
It should be up on the 23 (today), as what the next guide list says.
Jonas says
So no required S Rank deliveries trophy and no collectibles. Thanks, Kojima. <3
Hamza Adenwala says
