The Ailing Arborheart is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Ailing Arborheart side mission.
- Starting Location: Sacred Arbor
- Quest Giver: Doireann
- Requirement: Complete A Trial of Archery side quest, complete Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge side quest
- Reward: 1600 XP
- Quest Description: Under the boughs of the Arborheart you encountered Doireann, a young elven woman, who informed you of the great tree’s ailment, and that only the nourishing gwynfencha can cure it.
Objectives:
- Speak with a Battahli blacksmith
Starting Location: The Ailing Arborheart
To start this quest, return to the Sacred Arbor and go near The Arborheart location, where Doireann should automatically speak with you. After the first conversation is finished, go up to the railing in front of the tree and speak with her again to start the quest.
Speak with a Battahli blacksmith
Doireann wants you to help find a material called gwyfencha, which if you have a pawn with “Woodland Wordsmith” specialization they will immediately tell you means scalecinder, and is produced by Battahli blacksmiths. Head to Bakbattahl and into Brokkr’s Smithy and speak with Sara which completes this quest and immediately starts the follow-up Out of the Forest, Into the Forge.
