Dragon’s Dogma 2 A Trial of Archery Walkthrough

March 25, 2024 by Gage Leave a Comment

A Trial of Archery is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Trial of Archery side mission.

  • Starting Location: Vernworth
  • Quest Giver: Glyndwr
  • Requirement: Complete Gift of the Bow side quest
  • Reward: 2800 XP, 16,000 G, Portcrystal, Repeller Bow
  • Quest Description: In preparation for his Trial of Archery, Glyndwr has devoted himself to training with the bow you gifted him. Now the time has come for him to show his people all he has learned.

Objectives:

  1. Attend Glyndwr’s Trial of Archery
  2. Accompany Glyndwr
  3. Make for the ancestral chamber
  4. Venture in and rescue Doireann
  5. Carry Doireann out of the ancestral chamber
  6. Speak with Taliesin

Starting Location: A Trial of Archery

To start this quest, return to Vernworth after completing Gift of the Bow and you can find Glyndwr waiting out front of Roderick’s Smithy, where he will automatically approach you.

Attend Glyndwr’s Trial of Archery

NOTE: It is recommended before continuing this quest you make sure you have a pawn with you that has the “Woodland Wordsmith” specialization, as you will be speaking to elves other than Glyndwr who only speak Elvish.

Glyndwr wants you to join him for his trial, so you need to make your way back to the Malachite Forest where he will be waiting.

Accompany Glyndwr

After meeting up with him, he will lead you to the Sacred Arbor village. If he disappears, you can head there on your own by following the path and you should run into him again at the village if you don’t catch up to him on the path.

Make for the ancestral chamber

After a scene when reaching the Sacred Arbor, you’ll need to leave again immediately to help rescue Glyndwr’s sister. Head back along the path to the marked location where Glyndwr will be waiting.

Venture in and rescue Doireann

At the location, head inside and you will have to fight your way through Wolves and Goblins along the way. The objective is through the large open area, in the next chamber where there will be an automatic scene.

Carry Doireann out of the ancestral chamber

Glydnwr shoots the Ogre, causing it to drop Doireann. You need to run up to the platform and grab with :r2: , then quickly carry her back outside. Keep walking with her until a scene stops you.

Speak with Taliesin

After the conversation with Glyndwr is complete, speak with Taliesin to complete the quest.

This finishes the A Trial of Archery side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
