Not to Be Outdone is a Side Quest in Final Fantasy 16 (XVI). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Not to Be Outdone side mission.
- Starting Location: The Hideaway
- Quest Giver: Molly, Kitchen Head
- Requirement: Unlocked during the ‘Things Fall Apart‘ Main Quest after speaking with Otto and having the objective to travel to Krozjit Echoes. Must also have finished Side Quest: A Culinary Pilgrimage.
- Reward: 700 XP, 25 Renown, 25 Sharp Fang, 75 Bloody Hide
- Quest Info: Molly, cauldron keeper at the Fat Chocobo, seeks to recreate an ancient recipe for “fried mortress of skyworm.” Unfortunately, she’s not exactly sure what several of the ingredients are namely drakesmint and skyworm.
Objectives:
- Speak with Harpocrates
- Obtain some Saint’s Bonnet on the Northreach coast
- Defeat a Blueback Wyvern on the Northreach coast
- Deliver the ingredients to Molly back at the Hideaway
Starting Location: Not to Be Outdone
Speak with Harpocrates
Find Harpocrates in the Shelves.
Obtain some Saint’s Bonnet on the Northreach coast
Travel to Northreach (this can only be done after completing the Things Fall Apart Main Quest) and head north to the Royal Meadows. The flowers can be found just north of the wyvern so pick them up.
Defeat a Bueback Wyvern on the Northreach coast
Travel to Northreach (this can only be done after completing the Things Fall Apart Main Quest) and head north to the Royal Meadows. The wyvern can be found just south of the flowers.
Deliver the ingredients to Molly back at the Hideaway
Return to Molly and speak to her to complete this quest.
