Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Secret of Secrets Walkthrough

Secret of Secrets is a Mystery side quest in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Secret of Secrets Mystery side mission.

Starting Location: The Vatican / Sistine Chapel Office
Requirement: Pick up Nicoletti’s Letter in the office.
Reward: 100 AP
Quest Description: A priest has found an old manuscript and locked it away. The Code to the safe has something to do with two saints.

There is an office area behind the Sistine Chapel. On a side desk is a letter from Father Nicoletti that begins this mystery.

Mystery Note #7: Nicoletti’s Letter (15 AP)

Open the Locked Safe

Reading the letter, you will learn about a copy of a rare book called “Secretum Secretorum” which has been locked away in the safe nearby. It gives you the clue “Peter with the key, then Paul with the Sword”.

In the room are statues of St. Peter and St. Paul, and examining them doesn’t tell you much until you rotate them using the to look at their bottom.

To understand what that means, you have to look in the desk’s drawer to find another note.

Mystery Note #8: Planetary Chart (15 AP)

The planetary chart gives you the key to interpreting the symbols on the statues, assigning each planet a numerical value.

Now the symbol for Mars has been erased on the chart, but either through process of elimination or just Googling it, you’ll see that the symbol for Mars is ♂ and equals the number 4. So Peter’s statue which has the symbol for Mars twice would equal the numbers 4 4, and Paul’s statue has the symbols for Uranus and Mercury would equal the numbers 7 1, making the combination 4471. Open the safe with the combination and inside will be two books.

Adventure Book #8: Cutman (Requires 200 AP)

When you take the second book, Indy comments that the book is a forgery. It’s of no use to anyone, so you can just drop it anywhere. Under the book is another note.
