Introduction
Welcome to the Ninja Gaiden Ragebound Trophy Guide! Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a 2D hack-and-slash platformer. To earn the Platinum trophy, you’ll need to complete the game with nearly 100% completion, which includes finding all collectibles and unlocking all endings. Despite carrying the Ninja Gaiden name, this is the easiest Platinum trophy to earn in the series, thanks to the Assist Mode available in the game settings. With this mode enabled, incoming damage can be reduced to 0%, making the journey to the Platinum trophy a breeze (effectively a Godmode). However, if you choose not to use Assist Mode, it will be significantly harder, particularly because of the secret final ending, which is a serious challenge even for experienced players.
Step 1: Finish the game in Hard Mode with Ending A + find all Collectibles [7-10h]
The first step, play through the game on Hard difficulty and follow the Ninja Gaiden Ragebound Collectible Guide to find all collectibles along the way. You can use Assist Mode to make this much easier. Finding everything is relatively quick and straightforward as most items are on the main story path in plain sight. Collecting these items unlocks Secret Ops Levels, as well as new Talismans and Secret Arts, which can be purchased in the shop. After completing Level 1-3: After the Demons!, you can access the shop and purchase the two talismans: Scarcity and Unworthy. Equipping these talismans will boost your end-of-level rank by two grades, which is essential for consistently earning A ranks and unlocking all the other Talismans and Secret Arts. Equipping these talismans early means you won’t need to worry about completing in-game challenges for the rest of the playthrough. This makes unlocking all Talismans and Secret Arts significantly easier. Hard mode is required to access the secret ending. It is recommended to achieve Ending A: once you reach the endboss, the game will ask, “Who will escape Hell and seal the door?” – make sure you choose Kenji.
Step 2: Ending B + Secret Ending [3-5h]
Replay Level 4-6: Into the Shadows and go for Ending B, as this is required to unlock the Secret Final Level. When you reach the endboss and the game asks “Who will escape Hell and seal the door?” – make sure you choose Kumori. The secret final level only appears in Hard Mode.
Step 3: Cleanup + Platinum [10mins]
In the final step, complete the cleanup process. Buy any remaining Talismans and Secret Arts you need, then go back and collect any trophies you missed, such as earning an S++ rank in a level. After this the Platinum will be yours.

Venom Unlock Ending A. |
|
| Endings A & B depend on whether you pick Kenji or Kumori to escape hell in Level 4-6: Into the Shadows.
To earn Ending A, you need to complete the game up to level 4-6, “Into the Shadows”. Once you reach the boss on this level, the game will ask, “Who will escape Hell and seal the door?” – Make sure you choose Kenji! After the credits have rolled, you’ll receive the trophy! Some players are also getting the Ending A trophy when picking Kumori, which might be a difference between PS4/PS5 version but as indicated by the trophy image Ending A is supposed to be from Kenji. If you get Ending A by picking Kumori you can simply replay the final mission and pick Kenji to unlock the other ending trophy. |

Endless Struggle Finish the secret final level. |
|
| To unlock the secret final level, which grants you the game’s third ending, you must first complete the game on Hard Mode including all the main missions up to level 4-6: “Into the Shadows”. Once you reach the boss on this level, the game will ask, “Who will escape hell and seal the door?”
Make sure you choose Kumori so that Kenji remains in hell. After the credits roll with Kumori, the game doesn’t end there. You will now control Kenji in Hell, where you must face your unfinished business. This unlocks a boss rush mode in which you fight all the previous bosses one after the other. This is where the game reaches its peak difficulty. If you don’t activate Assist Mode and set received damage to 0%, this will likely be the hardest trophy in the game. You cannot heal between boss fights and most bosses can kill you quickly. You’ll need to play almost perfectly to succeed. Once you have defeated all the bosses in this final gauntlet, you will unlock the ‘Endless Struggle’ trophy and see the third and final ending of the game. |

Demon Vanquisher Slay 3,000 enemies. |
|
| To unlock the “Demon Vanquisher” trophy, you simply need to defeat 3,000 enemies. In most cases, you should already have this trophy by the time you’ve finished the main story. If not, a quick and efficient way to farm remaining kills is in the crystal chamber, where enemies spawn continuously and can be defeated easily.Refer to The Way of the Hayabusa Clan. |

The Way of the Hayabusa Clan Slay 500 enemies with Hypercharged Attacks. |
|
| To unlock the “The Way of the Hayabusa Clan” trophy, you need to kill 500 enemies using Hypercharged Attacks. The easiest way to farm this trophy is right after the boss fight, in the crystal chamber. In this area, you’re permanently in Rage Mode, which allows you to continuously perform Hypercharged Attacks without needing to charge up. Simply stay in that room and keep defeating enemies until the trophy pops. This is by far the most efficient spot to get it done quickly. | ||
![]() |
High Efficiency Slay 7 enemies at once using a single attack. |
|
| To unlock the “High Efficiency” trophy, you need to kill 7 enemies with a single attack. You can earn this trophy anywhere in the game. Ensure that there are at least seven enemies on the screen, then activate your Ragebound Attack by pressing the triangle and circle buttons simultaneously. If you’re having trouble finding enough enemies at once, wait for a section where you have to defeat waves of enemies to progress. These areas usually spawn more than seven enemies, making it easier to achieve the required number of kills. | ||

Ninja Revenge! Slay any enemy that previously killed you. |
|
| To unlock the “Ninja Revenge!” trophy, you need to kill an enemy that previously killed you. This trophy can be earned at any time and in any level.
However, it’s important to note that this trophy can only be unlocked if Assist Mode is turned off! Make sure you’re playing without any assist settings enabled, or the kill won’t count toward the trophy.

Art of the Inferno Finish 1-2 without taking any Fire damage. |
|
| To unlock the “Art of the Inferno” trophy, you must complete the entire mission without taking any fire damage. This can be tricky, as you have to avoid all sources of fire damage, including environmental flames, enemy attacks and the level boss. The best approach for this trophy is to adjust the assist settings and lower the game speed slightly, as this can help reduce the impact of minor errors. If you do get hit by fire, you will hear a distinct “burning sound effect”. Unfortunately, there are no visual indications, so this trophy is a bit of a trial-and-error challenge. | ||
![]() |
The Swiftness of the Spider Finish 2-2 after picking up all collectibles on the same run. |
|
| To unlock the “The Swiftness of the Spider” Trophy, you need to complete level 2-2 while collecting all the collectibles in one go. This level is an auto-scrolling section, so grabbing the collectibles can be tricky due to the constant movement. To make this easier, it is recommended that you enable Assist Mode and reduce the game speed to 50%. This gives you more time to react and makes it much easier to see when a collectible is about to appear. With the slower pace, you’ll have better control and visibility, helping you to complete the level without missing anything. | ||
![]() |
The Challenge of the Mountain Finish 3-2 without dying. |
|
| To unlock the ‘The Challenge of the Mountain’ trophy, you must complete the level without dying. This trophy is fairly easy to obtain, as you can use Assist Mode to set incoming damage to 0%. The only thing to watch out for is falling into the pit, as this still counts as a death, even with damage turned off. Stay cautious during the platforming sections and you should succeed. | ||
![]() |
Hanging in the Bullet Finish 4-5 without falling into the abyss. |
|
| To unlock the “Hanging in the Bullet” trophy, you must complete the Super Express to Hell level without falling into the abyss. The trophy becomes truly challenging once you reach the train section of the level. It is highly recommended that you activate Assist Mode and reduce the game speed to 50%. This makes it much easier to time your jumps between the different train cars correctly. Once you’ve cleared the first train segment, you’ll enter the helicopter phase. Here, you’re hanging from a helicopter and must defeat the incoming enemies. Pay close attention to when the enemies appear and take them out quickly. Getting hit can cause you to fall. However, if you time your jump well, you can grab onto the helicopter again. After that, there’s one more train segment before you reach the boss. Defeat the boss and you will earn the trophy. | ||

What is this assist mode ? Is like god mode or something?
PowerPyx says
Yes it’s effectively god mode, can turn yourself invincible. There’s a setting to put incoming damage at 0%. Can also slow down time.
Mike says
Wow. Surprised to see Ninja Gaiden game with easy platinum.
GZARZAMeth says
Don’t worry, they’re just softening us up for the guaranteed anal pounding that Ninja Gaiden 4 will be.
Exdeun says
I’m planning to do a blind normal run, then collectible hard mode run. This is also possible for plat, right?
PowerPyx says
Yes, you can also go for all collectibles on the 2nd playthrough in Hard Mode if you prefer.
Cuthpaste says
Way of the Hayabusa Clan seems to be bugged. It stopped incrementing for me after I beat normal mode. Won’t go up in either hard or normal mode now.
Cuthpaste says
This just unlocked after farming for a bit in the last area on hard mode, like the guide suggests. If I had to guess, I think the counter is getting reset when you beat normal mode.
Reginald says
I had the same issue, but I kept killing enemies in that crystal room after the final boss and it finally unlocked. I kept checking the trophy counter and it never changed when I was doing it, but it did still unlock for me.
For me, I’m having issues with the kill 3000 enemy trophy. No matter how many I kill, my counter is not going up and trophy is not unlocking. Can’t pin down when the count stopped, maybe after I beat the game? Idk, but it’s the last trophy I need.
Meneer UYL says
I am having the same issue but for the 3000 eliminations trophy. Just completely stuck even after i 100% hard mode before fighting the final boss. Locked out of the platinum.
Revil says
Same problem here, stuck on 81% of 3000 kill. Finished hard mode and now the counter wont go up.
Matt p says
Can you go back to normal mode after starting hard mode without starting a new game or are you locked into it?
Matt says
You can go back under the old save
Matt says
Lots of bugged trophies. I bought every talisman and now when I go back to the shop it shows a lot and I go to buy and nothing happens. Says I’m missing 1 arts but am not. Have completed all of the secret ops levels and it hasn’t popped . Have everything else . Not sure what else to do at this point
Matt says
More info
just finished my hard play through and have several trophies that have yet to unlock despite meeting the conditions
unlock all special ops levels – played all 7, it says there are 8
unlocked all special arts – says I have 10/12 , which is true I have 10 but there’s nothing else to buy . I have Kumasi barrage, healing fountain, ki overflow, spider stopwatch, Kama, seeking tessen , kurasi-fundo, chakram, umbrella shield – guide says there are 10
purchase all items – I have zone talisman trophy but not special arts but now my normal play save says I have 13 scarabs and a bunch of talismans to buy but that’s not true as I have that trophy, when I try to buy nothing happens
find all scarabs – have unlocked all of them – says 59/60
not sure how people have the platinum as the counters seem wrong in the same
C says
Having the same issue. Reloading made it show stuff in the shop I already owned. I reloaded again and it fixed the shop but still no trophy.
Keith says
Does the invincible option have to be disabled from the beginning? I got to the end of the game (4-5 to be exact) and found myself raging. I dropped the Incoming Damage down to 0% but found myself still dying in about three hits. Managed to power through and finish the game regardless.
Exdeun says
A new update has been released today. Changelog includes: “Hard Mode can now be unlocked by winning the duel against Ryu.”
So, can the platinum be unlocked with only 1 playthrough?
Yupp says
Has anyone figured out the kills not tracking cant get my plat stuck at 90%
Louis says
Did you find a fix?
OMNIS7ASH says
Platinum can now be done in one playthrough as recent update added hard mode.
PowerPyx says
Updated.
Louis says
Hi, has anyone else had a bug which stops counting kills? Stuck on 82% for trophy ‘Demon Vanquisher’. Any tips to fix?
Karlox says
You already solved this??
