Nioh Exploit: Defeat Any Boss Easily, No Skill Required

There is a very easy trick how you can defeat any Nioh boss no matter how much you struggle with this game. Anyone can do it, no skill required:

Simply use Soulstones to power up your living weapon. Then spam the living weapon by pressing Triangle+Circle (preferably spear for AOE damage). When living weapon ends use another Soulstone and repeat. It works best when you put the soulstones in a quick select item slot. While using the living weapon you are invulnerable / can’t take any damage. Back up your save game before the fight so you can get your soulstones back if you fail too often (PS4 Settings > Application Saved Data Management).

And that’s about it. The Soulstones release Amrita which feeds your living weapon. You can do this over and over again as long as you have enough Soulstones. Even the hardest missions in the game where you fight two bosses at once work without problems this way.

For even better results use the following build:

• Attributes: 30 Body (Spear damage and health), 25 Magic (very important for next point), 75 Spirit (helps with living weapon).
• Most important: use onmyo magic skills “Extraction Talisman” + “Pleiades Talisman”. They make it so your living weapon auto recharges on every hit.
• Other useful magic: Sloth (slows enemy by 50%), Carnage (increases attack damage), Weakness (lowers enemy defense), Devigorate (lowers enemy attack).
• Guardian Spirit: Suzaku (+25% Amrita earned while using living weapon, so it recharges more on each hit).

You get soulstones regularly as mission rewards and sometimes they are even found as loot. Do not waste these soulstones on normal mobs. Most boss fights (at least the ones in main missions) let you farm normal mobs before the fight to power up your living weapon. Always do this before going into the boss fight. Immediately activate your living weapon and when it runs out use soulstones to power it up again. After 2-3 living weapon uses just about any boss will be dead. Combine it with the magic skills “Extraction Talisman” + “Pleiades Talisman” so your living weapon keeps feeding off the enemies with every hit. Remember to back up your save game so you can get back your soulstones if you take too many tries.
