Resident Evil 8 Village How to Unlock Infinite Ammo Cheats

In Resident Evil 8 Village you can unlock Infinite Ammo Cheats. This guide shows all the cheats and infinite ammo weapons in RE8.

These are in-game rewards that become available after having beaten the story once.

How to Unlock Infinite Ammo Cheats

There are 15 weapons with Infinite Ammo. After finishing the story go to the Title Screen > Bonuses > Extra Content Shop. The Extra Content Shop is only available after beating the story.
This shop uses a currency called CP that you get from completing specific challenges in the game (different from the Lei currency used with Duke Merchant). The Challenges only become visible after the first playthrough, but any that you did during the first playthrough will still be counted. You can check the Challenges at any time in the Pause Menu while playing.

To make the Infinite Ammo available for purchase you must also unlock all the weapon’s customizable parts (2-3 per weapon) and also buy all Gunsmithy Upgrades from the Duke. Most weapons and customizable parts can also be bought from the Duke, but some are found elsewhere in the game (see RE8 Collectible Guide for all of them). This is quite costly and requires well over 1 Million Lei for some weapons.

However, there is an easy trick around this: Create a Manual Save > Buy all Upgrades for a Weapon including Weapon Parts > Save in a different Slot > Exit to Main Menu.
The Infinite Ammo Cheat will now be unlocked. Buy the Cheat from the Extra Content Shop using the CP Currency. Reload your first Manual Save from before spending all the money on the weapon upgrades. You will have your Lei back but get to keep the Infinite Ammo Cheat. The weapon doesn’t have to be fully maxed out for the Cheat to work, you only need to max it out once to unlock the cheat but then it works on the non-upgraded weapon too. You can repeat this for all weapons. Remember to sell your Treasures for a lot of Lei and also note that enemies drop more Lei on higher difficulties.

Playing with Infinite Ammo Cheats enabled does NOT disable trophies or achievements! So go use these as much as you want.

The Grenade Launcher doesn’t have any weapon upgrades and its infinite ammo will be unlocked immediately after the story. You must still buy the weapon itself from the Duke (if you didn’t already find it in the story). You also get to keep your inventory and Lei in New Game+. Simply reload the save that you made after completing the story, then it lets you pick the difficulty for your New Game+ playthrough.

For the highest difficulty “Village of Shadows” it’s highly recommended to have Infinite Ammo for the S.T.A.K.E. (best Magnum in the game). With this weapon you can blaze through the highest difficulty without much trouble.

You can also enable or disable infinite ammo at any time from the Main Menu > Options > Game Settings. However, you can’t reset your CP (Bonus Content Shop currency), so choose wisely what to spend it on.
