Vampyr All Citizens List

June 6, 2018 by PowerPyx 17 Comments

Vampyr has 64 Citizens (16 per District). There are 4 Districts: The Docks, Pembroke Hospital, Whitechapel, West End.

In the Citizen Menu you can view which ones you have located and check their health status. Each time you sleep, time advances and these people get sick. The more often you sleep the sicker they get unless you cure them. When the overall health status of a district comes down the inventory and prices of merchants may change. Luckily though, no matter how often you sleep the sickness will never ever kill them. You can go the whole game without curing anyone.

The main purpose of Citizens is to get XP. When talking to one press :l1: to mesmerize, follow the red mist to lure them to a quiet place and kill them for their blood. The blood gives you a lot of XP. In addition they also drop weapons or keys to locked boxes. Roughly half of them drops a weapon and generally the only way to get it is to kill them. Do note, if you want the trophy ‘Not even once’ you must beat the game without embracing (killing for XP) any citizens! Killing too many citizens can turn a district hostile in which case it gets overrun by monsters and everyone in it dies instantly.

Some of the NPCs also have side quests. It’s best to keep everyone alive if you want to explore their side quests. A few citizens are hidden way off in the game world. They will be marked as “investigations” (white head icon on map) when you go near them.

The Docks:

  1. Booth Digby
  2. Edwina Cox
  3. Seymour Fishburn
  4. Stella Fishburn
  5. Rufus Kingsberry
  6. Enid Gillingham
  7. Martin Nightingale = South of the Night Shelter in West Docks.
  8. Dyson Delaney
  9. Sean Hampton
  10. Archer Woodbead = You free him during an investigation, see location #1 on the screenshot below. After that he will be in the Docks area where other people live (Location #2 on screenshot).
  11. Sabrina Cavendish
  12. Tom Watts
  13. Ichabod Throgmorton = During Chapter 3 after your encounter with Sean he will be in front of the Night Shelter. Later he will move a little bit south to a nearby ally (I found him in Spot #2 in Chapter 6). I spared Sean in Chapter 3 and then Ichabod was in Spawn Location #2 later after Night Shelter gets overrun by Skals.
  14. Rodney Grader = You find the Rodney Grader location Inside the sewers where you meet Harriet (after Fergal Boss Fight, you go here at the end of Chapter 3). You can still go back in the sewers later on, enter through the Night Asylum in the West Docks where you had to decide over Sean’s fate. The best reference point is Harriet’s room. Exit Harriet’s room and there will be stairs straight ahead, go down and turn right, then go into the tunnel at the end of the path. There’s one single guy here, Rodney Grader.
  15. Giselle Paxton = She starts out at the Night Shelter in Western Docks. If you spared Sean in Chapter 3 the Night Shelter will get overrun by Skals and Giselle becomes a soldier and relocates a bit south in later chapters. She will be in the middle of the Western Docks, marked by a white exclamation point on the map. She will shoot you on sight! Scan for her with :l3: , she looks like a normal soldier and walks around with a bigger guy.
  16. Lottie Paxton = She starts out at the Night Shelter in Western Docks. Depending on what you do with Sean in Chapter 3 she might turn into a monster, she did for me when I saved Sean (however, she doesn’t have any collectibles and her turning into a monster does not void the “Not even once” trophy for not killing citizens).

Pembroke Hospital:

  1. Beatrice Goswick
  2. Mortimer Goswick
  3. Harvey Fiddick
  4. Dr. Thoreau Strickland
  5. Dr. Waverley Ackroyd
  6. Thomas Elwood
  7. Thelma Howcroft
  8. Clay Cox
  9. Dr. Edgar Swansea
  10. Rakesh Chadana
  11. Rippa Hawkins
  12. Milton Hooks
  13. Dr. Corcoran Tippets
  14. Gwyneth Branagan
  15. Newton Blight
  16. Oswald Thatcher

Whitechapel:

  1. Claytown Darby
  2. Cristina Popa
  3. Joe Peterson
  4. Harry Peterson
  5. Barrett Lewis
  6. Fr. Tobias Whitaker
  7. Mason Swanborough
  8. Loretta Swanborough
  9. Dorothy Crane
  10. Benjamin Palmer
  11. Albert Palmer
  12. Cadogan Bates = See the red circle below for the entrance to his house. Inside his house you must clear out the monsters to rescue Cadogan.
  13. Richard Nithercott
  14. Darius Petrescu
  15. Camellia
  16. Hsiao Shun = Found at the cemetery in the north-east of Whitechapel (where you go during chapter 3 for the burial of Jonathan’s sister). After you free Hsiao she will stand around the north of the cemetery.

West End:

  1. Emelyne Reid
  2. Avery Cork
  3. Clarence Crossley
  4. Venus Crossley
  5. Carolyn Price
  6. Carol Price
  7. Kimura Tadao
  8. Charlotte Ashbury
  9. Aloysius Dawson
  10. Calhoun Russel
  11. Carina Billow
  12. Louise Teasdale = Found in the sewers / secret passageway leading from the park in West-End to Whitechapel. Earliest opportunity is in Chapter 5 after defeating the “Leon Augustin” boss. You will pass through these sewers in chapter 5 as part of the story and exit in Whitechapel across from the church.

  13. Charles Jerome Albright
  14. Usher Talltree
  15. Pericles Baker
  16. Agamemnon Baker

Regarding Rodney Grader, i cannot find him anymore, i did his investigation and he left the place.
Anybody knows where he could be?
I can see his status in the menu, it means he is alive somewhere. Also would be nice to mention in guide not to do his investigation.

Found Rodney Grader after doing his investigation, if you told him to leave the sewers he can be found in Western Docks right next to Martin Nightingale.

One more note, if you spared Sean and then killed him when he becomes a monster, next night you will see district health dropped below 50% and it will be showing status: hostile in citizen menu, where in fact it was not hostile for me. When i go there i see status: critical on the screen.

Where is Calhoun Russel? I’ve looked all over west end but I can’t find him anywhere…

I may be mistaken but I am almost certain that he is the shop keeper for the store next door to Ried’s Mansion.

    You have written this:
Do note, if you want the trophy ‘Not even once’ you must beat the game without embracing (killing for XP) any citizens! Killing too many citizens can turn a district hostile in which case it gets overrun by monsters and everyone in it dies instantly.

For me, I haven’t killed any citizen but turned out 3-4 citizens died for whatever reason. Maybe it was Sean, maybe they died bc of illness… But I haven’t embraced any of them!
Are there chances i might get the trophy or is it impossible bc citizens died?

I definitely had a few people die or turn into monsters and got the trophy in the end 🙂
Killing people who have turned into monsters is also okay (Dorothy, Sean…) and won’t void the trophy. As long as you didn’t actively mesmerize/embrace anyone you’re probably good to continue.

I only rescued the people I randomly ran into during the story (white face symbol on map). Other than that didn’t talk to anyone I didn’t have to.
Spare all story NPCs or turn them to into vampire when that’s the only option and obviously don’t mesmerize/embrace anyone.

I was walking through the docks after I spared Sean and was attacked by Giselle Paxton as a hunter. I couldn’t escape the fight and ended up killing her in the fight. Have I voided the ‘Not Even Once’ trophy? If I have the game is a joke. Hope I haven’t…

She was alive at the end of my playthrough when the trophy popped. I didn’t kill her after she became a soldier. Not sure if she affects the trophy or not.

Hey, so I restarted the game to get the not even once trophy. I never killed anyone, everyone is alive or missing not dead. Completed the game and I don’t get my trophy. I got the ending where the stay in castle. I followed your guides and videos. Yet I still don’t have the trophy. I also read your advice, I deleted the game and reinstalled it without patch and offline. Nothing. The game for some reason must think I’ve killed someone. But I haven’t… any help?

      The trophy is glitchy.
A support person wrote the Vicar in Mary boss fight can make it glitch out. Probably best to not feed on him for blood (even though he is not a citizen listed in the menu).

    That’s the thing I didn’t and she didn’t feed on him either…

So do you know if they will release a patch or will I have to play it through once again? ?

I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Given that the devs themselves don’t seem to know the exact cause of the problem this will take them a ton of playtesting and they have much bigger problems to fix.
Devs usually don’t care about trophies or at least they are low priority on the fix list.

You can only replay for now and hope it unlocks next run. I recommend you delete the game, reinstall and play offline so it stays on version 1.00 without patches. Delete all save games manually before the reinstall.

I wanted to cure Louise Teasdale after saving her in the sewers. Where will she spawn in the upper city after saving her?

Hey, do you know that if you embrace and suck blood from Dr. Strickland, then Mr. Fiddick passes his hand operation successfully and new dialog options are avaiable? But Dr. Ackroyd must be alive to do that.
