The Crouching Dragon Roars is the 16th and final main mission in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of the The Crouching Dragon Roars Main Quest.

Requirement: having completed Decisive Battle of Guandu
Reward: Sacred Lotus x1, Rank 9 Steel x1, Rank 9 Leather x2, Dizi Flute x1, Yinglong’s Jade, 
Open Eyes, Rising Dragon NG+ difficulty
At the start of the level, check the house right behind you to find Blindfolded Boy’s Note – Pt. 1 tablet and Blindfolded Boy’s Note – Pt. 2 tablet.
Continue through the abandoned village until you can pick up Frightened Merchant’s Note tablet which is in plain view on the main path.
Continue up the stairs until you get to a fork with some stairs leading up and a series of platforms on your right. Go all the way to the right past the final platform to find Villager’s Note tablet.
Now continue up the stairs to find Yellow Turban Bandit’s Note – Pt. 2 tablet. Continue up the path and interact with Battle Flag 1.

From Battle Flag 1, proceed into the arena for this mission’s boss fight.
Blindfolded Boy Boss Fight
Blindfolded Boy is a spell-casting human boss, one of the hardest ones in the game. This is also the story’s final boss. For this boss fight, it’s highly encouraged to have collected all possible Dragon Vein Essences and Crystals for maximum Dragon’s Pot usage and efficacy, which you should if you’ve been following these walkthroughs. Blindfolded Boy is crazy quick and deals a ton of damage, especially with his Critical Blow attacks. He masters all phases with absolute perfection and can imbue his weapon with any at any moment. Here’s a quick rundown of all the possible attacks he uses:
- Far-reaching sword slashes (this is his favorite attack)
- Flying piercing swords
- Flying swords while he waltzes around the arena
- Poison pools
- Rock slabs
- Giant fire balls
- Lightning bolts and pools
- Ice shards
As for his Critical Blow attacks, he conjures a massive fire ball, splits himself into two more clones, each of which can deal damage, charges up to then dash and possess you. Sometimes, he chains multiple Critical Blow attacks, so don’t retaliate just to be safe. All of these can easily insta-kill you, so do your best to deflect them. Incidentally, deflecting his consecutive Critical Blows is the key to winning this fight. If necessary, do a few trial runs to learn his attack pattern and get the deflection timing of his Critical Blows down. The strategy here is patience: do not attempt countering any of his normal attacks. He’s way too quick and can easily chain them to keep harming you. Instead, learn the correct timing to deflect his Critical Blow attacks and use these to your advantage to then be able to perform Fatal Strikes. Again, being able to deflect consecutive Critical Blows is the key to winning here. Keeping your distance can also help to slightly increase the deflection timing.
