Starfield How to Get All Powers

Starfield has 24 unlockable powers. They are sort of supernatural psychic abilities that allow you to manipulate the environment, such as slowing down time, casting gravity fields and a lot more. Powers are very useful in combat encounters and allow for more varied and tactical gameplay, especially at higher difficulties.

How to Unlock Powers

All Powers are unlocked by visiting the 26 Temples. Each Temple unlocks 1 Power, except for 2 (there are 2 more temples than there are powers). You visit all Temples as part of the Power from Beyond questline. This quest automatically starts after Main Mission 5: Into the Unknown.

For this quest you will need to talk to Vladimir on “The Eye” space station (System: Alpha Centauri > Planet: Jemison). He will mark one Temple for you. Track the quest to see the location. If he stops giving you locations advance the story, a few Power from Beyond subquests unlock automatically later with story progress.

Land at the Temple, open the Scanner and look for a Distortion. The white ring of the Scanner reticle will get fragmented when you point towards the Temple.

Head in that direction. The Temple will look like a tower, when you get close the entrance gets marked. You can close and open the Scanner to see a line on the floor guiding you to the temple entrance.

Go inside and there will be an anti-gravity room with a big ring in the middle. Go towards the ring and it will spawn dancing lights around the room. Quickly fly through these dancing lights to power the ring. You can use the backpack boosters to fly faster.

After flying through all lights, the ring will turn into a portal, fly into it to get the Power. It will automatically teleport you back outside. Most temples also have a Starborn Guardian that drops 1 Quantum Essence. These can be redeemed in the “Powers Menu” to temporarily speed up the power recharge rate.

You can equip the Powers in the Powers Menu. Press / Tab > select the “Powers” at the top. They have a cooldown that automatically recharges.
